\ Haven:Mist and Shadow Characters/Amayla

Amayla 'May' Lotta

The older of two twins and likely the most like her mother, she tends to be secretive and flighty to anyone who doesn't know her. She doesn't make a point to have herself known generally either, content to sit on the sidelines and watch the world happen around her.

What I'm Doing in Haven

She remembered the town from her childhood, mainly breakfast on weekend mornings at a loal diner. Starting when she was a young teen, she would often find herself passing through the town every three months. Namely on each seasons equinox because those were big events in the Carver-Lotta households. She knew she had a cousin somewhere, and being estranged from her sister was in her mind a cruel punishment she never truly deserved, so each season she'd come to town in hopes one of them had the same thought.

Fitting in a Supernatural World

She isn't exactly sure where she fits into it, but she is taking her sweet time to figure it out. Her comfort is in nature, and she spends most of her time there. She is often left scratching her own head, be it by her own actions or the actions of others. She is learning, but who knows how far that will actually take her.

Coping with the Lurking Horrors

Frankly, she doesn't. In discomforting situations she is one to buckle down internally and hold it in. Explaining her struggles with her evolving world is not something she cares to talk about, instead often ignoring certain conversations or avoiding people she doesn't want to emotionally deal with. She tries to do good though, and even when she isn't trying to do good, that seems to be her default. If she can focus her energy on helping other people, then she won't have to deal with her own issues.

More About Me

She's relatively easy to be kept content, but her inherited overwhelming curiosity does get the better of her more times than it should. Talks of animals or nature is likely to have her being more like herself, but if she is in public you can gaurantee she is emotionally disconnected by any means necessary to get through being around other people. Just because it isn't shown on the outside, doesn't mean it isn't there however. When they do creep to the surface there is likely a bottle of booze somewhere close by.
