Fourteen
A long descendant of Martha Carroll?, "fourteen" is the name this slave's owner gave her.
She used to travel with her owner often, and she doesn't really understand much of anything about the world around her. When the empire of whom she served crumbled, they were kind enough to take care of their subjects, and Fourteen was left, free, on the city of Dis. The life of a free woman isn't fit for one who has always been a slave, and, gladly for her, one of Dis' citizens took her as his slave.
The City of Dis
Visiting the city of Dis used to be like being on vacations for Fourteen. Most often she was left alone and allowed to do whatever she wanted, which, usually, turned out to be able to serve her Owner a bit better after each of those visits. Without an Owner whom to serve, she wandered in the city, trying to be helpful to the other servants, until the day one of them took her as his own, and fourteen became what she is once again: a slave.
