Ark

Introduction

When the Ark was finally launched, the plan was complicated enough. The objective: make the first intergeneration space trip, planned to take 250 years.

When the first signs arrived to the Ark, there was disbelief, but soon the evidence was impossible to ignore. Herion, the Herini home planet, saw a quick and escalating war and was totally destroyed. Number of survivors: none. Well, none but those Herini that that are on the Ark.

No Herini on the Ark has lived enough to have lived the lift off, so none of them actually lived in the planet. Which might have been worse: their golden city, the target of their voyage, what they were eager since they were children to reach and finally set foot on... gone.

It took them some time to figure out exactly what their plans were: after all, they are the sole living beings, Ark is their home. Until... Signs started to being read, curiosity piked, courses layed. Getting closer to the solar system, it is now clear that they are not alone - there's other life in the Universe. But now that they have this information... what should they do?

The Herini society is classless, but each of their citizens' roles strongly molded by their gender. Ternarians, the Herini have three sexes: Astros, Morlis and Pekis. Their species reproduction makes it critical that at least one of each gender is involved in conception, even if conception can be achieved with two steps and different sexual encounters, if a Morli mates with an Astro before mating with a Peki. Gender wars and descrimitation supposedly do not exist, but it was in fact a gender confrontation that destroyed Herion...

While classless, there are three paths that an Herini can choose from when they reach the age of fourteen. Socii are the politicians and the managers. Matrii are the field man, the executors, the police and the regulares. Manii are the workers and the artists. No member of a path is seen as any better than another, because while a Socii has the power to write a Law, it will only be enforced thanks to a Matrii, and even so only because the Manii will abide by it.

But now that the fate of the Ark must be chosen, everyone has an oppinion on the right path to choose, and the debate has already surpassed the healthy discussion stage...

Guidelines

Being a different species and culture, feel free to take wide liberties while roleplaying. In case of conflict, feel free to petition, but the rule of thumb will be "whatever is closer to what humans do." Their form is mostly humanoid.

For the eventuality of sexual RP, consider that the sexual act is pretty close to that of Humans. Astros have an organ quite similar to a penis, and Peki one quite similar to a vagina. Morli have one organ only but that is similar to a penis and a vagina close together between their legs.

New stats and rooms are coming. Any ideas or suggestions are welcome, use dreamworld petition to send them.

Stats

reputation:

Use your imagination but be reasonable to figure out when to apply this stat. It might represent the quality of your work, the strength of your arguments, or even the ammount of your support.

seclusionist:

This stat represents how strongly do you believe that the seclusion arguments are valid. It also represents your influence within the seclusionist movement.

Seclusionists believe that contact with Earth should be avoided at all costs.

This philosophical stat is not mutually exclusive with others. You can agree with several points of this movement and still agree with arguments from other movements.

cautioner:

This stat represents how strongly do you believe that the cautioner arguments are valid. It also represents your influence within the cautioner movement.

Cautioners believe that it is quite possible that the best course of action is

to approach Earthlings, but that they should be studied from a distance first, and a plan be devised, even if it takes generations to calculate the optimum approach.

This philosophical stat is not mutually exclusive with others. You can agree with several points of this movement and still agree with arguments from other movements.

expansionist:

This stat represents how strongly do you believe that the expansionist arguments are valid. It also represents your influence within the expansionist movement.

Expansionists believe that going to earth and move there is the best option. Earthlings, it is obvious already, have less technology and knowledge, so no matter what sittuation migh present themselves, the Herini people will always have the upper hand...
