Although relatively new to the Haven SR scene, I've been running tabletop roleplaying games (Dungeons & Dragons, White Wolf, etc) for over 20 years.
I like plots that involve investigation and problem solving. That being said, some of my plots will have violence in them. I don't look to kill characters because that's boring, but just remember that all actions have consequences.
I make heavy use of the probe command and will feed you information based on your stats. I also encourage you to showstat. I make it a priority to honor stats.
My plots tend to be on the lower end of the supernatural scale and typically local in scope. (Local to the locale, that is.)
I also run encounters whenever I can, and run them using the same principals I adhere to for plots.
My main priority is for you to have fun and get the chance to be creative. While you might not always win, I try to make the consequences for failure interesting instead of purely frustrating.
- I said I don't like to kill characters, but that doesn't make you immortal or invincible. Don't try to engage a dozen gun-toting Keepers with your bare hands and think your death isn't probable. Don't jump off a skyscraper.
- I may occasionally depict graphic violence. I'm not a gore hound and I don't saturate my stories with it, but I like violence to be terrifying and memorable when it happens.
- I will probe you often. (Tee hee)
- If you want to join a plot, you need to contact me somehow and tell me how your PC might be involved. If you provide no comment, note, tell, etc, I probably won't take you along.
- My stories are often heavy on cooperation and collaboration. If you don't work as a group, failure is likely. That isn't to say I don't welcome conflict or tension between characters, but make it add to, rather than detract from, the scenario.
