New to Haven

Haven is a modern paranormal horror roleplaying game set in a small town on the Massachusetts coast. Read the Setting and the Lore Primer first: they tell you what everyone in town knows, and what only the supernatural world knows.

Getting started

• Connect to havenrpg.net port 3000, or use the web client, and create a character.
• Ask questions on the newbie channel. Other players and staff are happy to help.
• Read the guides: roleplaying, combat, progression and travel are all explained there.
• Every command has a helpfile. See Commands, or type help (topic) in game.

Roleplaying tips

• People know of the supernatural, but it stays hidden. Don’t do anything obviously supernatural in public, and don’t walk around with visible weapons.
• Get dressed, and set up a few outfits so your character isn’t always wearing the same thing.
• Stay in character at all times.
• A new character is often new to town, which is a good way in.
