The Hand Takes Every Category This Week
No contest this week. The Hand swept the board: three operations created, nineteen attended, 40720 in resources, four arcane tasks, five diplomatic tasks, thirty-nine roads built. Thirteen bodies in that society and every one of them apparently busy. The Order managed 200 resources, one diplomatic task, and two operations attended, off a population of two. The Temple showed up twice, operations attended, with one member. That is the whole list. Nobody else put a number on the board.
Serena Runs The City's First Speed Round
Serena staged speed dating at the Hometown Diner, color tables and all, and the rotation went about as well as expected. Kade was already smoking indoors before the whiteboard even went up. Wyatt stuck his foot out for Karma and caught a kick for it, then played victim loud enough that Axis had to tell her to stop assaulting the players before the season starts. Karma got him back properly later, tripping him on his way out and leaving him to hit his head on the way to the door. Graham turned up fashionably late, confiscated Karma's phone mid-date over some unresolved guilty verdict, and lectured the room on why his car beats a muscle car. Concepcion spent her rounds doing penguin noises at Wyatt, critiquing a man's Hawaiian shirt as a weapon against the senses, then recruiting a sewer expedition to hunt rats, for science, after Kade backed out of babysitting her through the spiders. Eris used her ten minutes to advertise the Sleepy Dragon to anyone who'd sit still. Shay got stood up at the blue table and took it in stride. Sidonie arrived breathless and immediately charmed the purple table. Serena says to text feedback to 710-0029.
Evil 101 Gets Personal Fast
Agnes ran a class on the stresses of evil and the students did the readings in real time. Catriona owned up to getting a counselor's career ruined after years of being called narcissistic back at St. Abbs, then argued institutional evil did it to her first. She also floated a theory that older people trend corrupt because power has costs, and brought up Unit 731 to make the case that evil research still pays dividends. Aurelia countered that progress would have arrived without the war crimes, then cheerfully told the room her family's oldest ancestor conquered the area and killed the people already living there, which is how the Arkwrights got to Haven. Letitia described growing up somewhere that normalized broken ribs and heads through walls as just keeping people in line. Liesel's line on all of it: reality isn't built to be fair, just to keep running, and if cruelty gets rewarded that's a feature, not a bug. Kade floated a cleaner business model out loud, suggesting you can just pay off the government for a deed instead of murdering people for one. Class ended with a plug for Dustin Moore's farm field trip, and a warning from Aurelia that Moore is a werewolf, so watch the moon.
