Samanthas Friday Night Lights The Dartmouth Corsairs 240204

As the White Oak Wildcats faced off against the Dartmouth Corsairs, the atmosphere was electric with tension and anticipation. The game commenced with fervent energy from both teams, but the Wildcats, bolstered by the animated cheers and stunts of their cheerleaders, initially dominated. Charlene, Olivia, and Samantha's rousing chants and acrobatics, coupled with the strategic distractions aimed at the opposing team by Olivia, played a key role in propelling the Wildcats to an early lead with two touchdowns. In the stands, fans like Harriet, Avi, and Carter vibrantly supported their team, while Antwon provided sharp commentary on the game's dynamics. As the Wildcats surged ahead with 14 points, confident cries and school slurs from Ryan infected the crowd with additional enthusiasm.

However, the match's mood took a drastic turn in the third quarter. A Corsair player dangerously tackled number seven from the Wildcats, sending him out of the game and earning a penalty, yet the Wildcats' spirits were inevitably dampened. Despite continued effervescent acrobatics from the cheerleaders, aiming to maintain momentum, the Corsairs found their footing and pushed back fiercely, scoring a touchdown. The final quarter played out under a cloud of tension that seeped through the audience. The Wildcats, once energized, struggled to reclaim their initial dominance. The Corsairs edged in a field goal, concluding the game with a devastating 17-14 in favor of the Corsairs. Disheartened yet spirited discussions erupted among the locals as they contemplated the near-victory turned sour, blaming the unfortunate turn of events on the foul play that took out one of their best players. The cheerleaders, initially jubilant and performers of impressive feats, were left to contemplate the hardship of the loss—reflecting the abrupt shift from high to low that characterized the game's gripping course.

In The Bleachers overlooking White Oak Athletic Field
The Bleachers overlooking White Oak Athletic Field, tucked within the heart of the White Oak Institute, are meticulously arranged in neat rows, their polished wooden surface exuding an austere, almost pristine quality. The faded sunlight filtering through the leaden clouds casts an eerie, shadowy hue over the meticulously maintained emerald expanse below, where students partake in fervent sports activities, their fervor contrasting sharply with the hushed, stifling atmosphere of the spectator area. Muffled echoes of distant cheers and hushed conversations barely manage to permeate the stifling silence, leaving an unsettling sense of detachment and voyeurism lingering in the air.

It is after dusk, about 32F(0C) degrees, and the sky is partly covered by dark grey stormclouds. There is a waning crescent moon.

Harriet takes a seat on the bleachers, smoothing her hands down the sides of her peacoat before resting folded hands atop her lap. "Avi, why aren't you on the cheer squad?" she wonders of Avi, winking at him once.

Olivia makes a pump of pom-poms over at Joel and Antwon as they rock up--the benefits of newness and the week's earlier win, no doubt. She bounces over toward the bleachers, going to shake those poms and hype up the Wildcats section. "Let's go Wildcats!" Clap clap clapclapclap!

Charlene takes a moment to pull out a thin of lipgloss and put it on. Grinning enthusiastically, she then joins the line with Olivia and Samantha. "Gooo, Wildcats!"

Joel moves on to find a place to sit on the bleachers, still looking voer the crowd. Eyes definitely linger on the cheer section for a moment, before he glances up at someone "Oh, right! Uh, nice to meet ya."

Joel moves on to find a place to sit on the bleachers, still looking voer the crowd. Eyes definitely linger on the cheer section for a moment, before he glances up at Harriet "Oh, right! Uh, nice to meet ya."

Antwon tells the others on the bleachers, "We gonna fucking do great. I feel it."

Locals start to filter into the bleachers, talking amongst themselves about the latest town gossip and world news. A few talk about Carter and Tabitha as who they should hook them up with, and others discuss wanting to get in close with Angelique Inigo. After a few moments things slowly begin to settle as the opposing team starts to make their way towards the field.

Harriet gives Antwon a doubtful little glance, given their team's history, but then she looks to Joel. An introduction of, "Hello, I'm Harry," in a polite reply is given to him.

Alexandra settles in for what will likely be a lot of chaos, but her eyes keep moving, waiting for action to watch. She cannot really tell one set of cheers from another, so she just resorts to general yelling and cheering, without actually focusing on words. She does sit with her legs crossed, and her hands on her lap when she is not cheering with fist pumps and such.

Samantha does a few basic warm ups and stretches as she waits for the game to begin. "Charlie is going to distract the opposing team with her sexy moves." She explains to Olivia.

Carter meanders along, making his way up to the bleachers with a slight smile, seeming content enough today. His gaze flits about as he looks down to the field, then to the various others in the crowd, lifting a hand to greet no one in particular, though the wave is given still.

Woe be unto the seated hometown fans! Like the Harbinger of Pestilence Olivia brings infectious cheer, both hyping up the Wildcats and periodically making up very rude invocations to boo the "Fartmouth Horse-hairs"!

"Would hardly be fair, I'd clearly distract the other team too much," Avi tells Harriet with just enough dry arrogance that he might actually be serious. Rubbing his hands together, he calls out, "Go, Wildcats! You got this!" as they take the field. "They never have this," he laments more quietly to those around, lifting a hand to wave Carter over.

"You made that up!" Charlene hisses at Samantha while she, too, warms up, twisting her waist from side to side. "Hehe, Fartmouth."

Joel settles in on the bench, figdgetting a little as he watches the crowds get ready. He's clearly not the overly boisterous cheering type, but he does join in with the applaud, before glancing to the side at Charlene's introduction "Uh, hi! Joel."

(re, for crowd)

Olivia bounds back from the bleacher work and casts a grin at the other girls. "Charlie going without spanx on operation distraction? Love it. Knock 'em dead, Char!"

It's past the regular season when the locals gather to watch their home team take on the Dartmouth corsairs. The Corsairs come out first in their blue and yellow uniform, clearly struggling against the cold as the young athletes blow into their hands and keep themselves moving. Then the white oak wildcat cheerleaders in their black and white uniforms start up a cheer to herald the arrival of their own team, a little more used to the cold weather who rush out onto the field to square off with their opponents.

[Look at the object and STalk or Tell with the action you want to take for the first quarter please. Can also make up your own action within reason.]

"I literally have my spanks on!" Charlene protests.

Harriet lifts a slender right hand, providing Carter with a wave in return. A nod is given to Joel in response. "Nice to meet you, Joel," she tells him before smirking some at Avi. "We want the other team to be distracted. It would be the perfect strategy to win." Hazel eyes focus on the field and the players, and then at the cheerleaders

Samantha turns from where she was talking to the other cheerleaders to cheer as their team comes out onto the field. "Go Wildcats!" She calls out, rubbing her pom poms against each other in front of herself.

Carter notices Avi's wave over and makes his way to his side with a little smile. "For what it's worth, I'd probably have the same problem.", he muses with a nonchalant shrug in addition to Avi's comment to Harriet - two's company, right? His green eyes flit down to the field, letting out a cheer as the Wildcats take the field, though Avi's comment gets a little disappointed hum, casting a glance down, though he snorts amusedly thereafter.

"Oh yeah, let's hear it for our sponsor: the law offices of Inigo and Wilson!" Charlene remembers and turns to face the bleachers, clapping her hands together enthusiastically above her head.

Olivia waves off Charlene with a flurry of pomming and says, "Bet. One distraction then. Should we coordinate and make it stronger? Or go for a hard offensive punch and demoralize them?"

Alison finds her way in with mild uncertainty, getting her bearings. It doesn't take too long, though, as sports fields aren't exactly rocket science, and she finds herself a spot in the home bleachers, migrating to the familiar form of Harriet. She lets out a few odd woops and fist pumps every time it seems remotely appropriately, but tracing her attention makes it look a lot more like she's cheering on the cheerleaders.

Harriet flashes a grin Carter's way before her lips return to their usual, stoic positioning across the lower portion of her resting bitch face. "I'd like to test that hypothesis," she tells him and Avi, and as Alison comes up to sit beside her, she bumps her shoulder ever so gently into the younger woman's. "Hello, Alison. Welcome. We're going to win -- no doubt." Her posh British accent is very short of faith in the way she presents that last part.

"I feel like making the other team fall over laughing isn't exactly the distraction we're looking for," Avi tells Harriet. "Though speaking of cheerleaders who don't wear skirts, where is Beau?" He wraps his hands in the blanket on his lap, looking over the others in the crowd. "Who's that?" he asks, somewhat belatedly, nodding toward Joel.

"I think we gotta distract them, but discreetly," Charlene whispers to Olivia and tucks her hair behind her ears. "Anyway, do you guys wanna do like a pyramid?"

Alexandra keeps to herself in the bleachers, cheering and occasionally checking her phone. She looks around for someone, but is clearly not seeing them at all. So she sticks to cheering when appropriate and stays focused on the game like she actually knows what is going on with it.

Alison takes Harriet's words at face value anyway, "We are? Awesome!" she enthuses, bumping Harriet right back, "I haven't been to one of these things in -ages-." she confesses with a little giggle as she takes in the event and the new faces, those close by getting a quick wiggle of fingers in greeting, though most of her attention is locked on that cheer squad, occasionally deigning to survey the game itself.

"Hell yeah let's do a pyramid! Char get on top--Sam and I can do base," Olivia strategizes with the others

The ref steps out and flips the coin, the wildcat Captain calls it and loses, and the Corsairs start with the ball, the two teams line up and the Corsair quarterback calls out some instructions and then the snap happens. Olivia, Samantha and Charlene lead a defensive chant which is picked up by the crowd and the first play by the Corsairs gets solidly blocked, causing a hand over. Avi starts to cheer on the player on the flank who seems inspired and makes up several yards in a quick burst before being put down by a brutal tackle and reseting. Not to be dispirted Joel and Alison's cheers for the team push them onward and they're able to make up even more ground but aren't able to push over to get the touch down. The team quickly strategize and on the next play score a clear field goal but the ref is calling a bad block and Antwon starts hurling down insults the ref glowers up at the bleachers. The game resets to a neutral posture and the two teams go back and forth but nobody is able to get a point and the first quarter ends nil nil. As the game pauses for a ten minute break between the quarters.

As the Corsairs take initial position, Samantha forms up with Olivia and Charlene to chant. "De-fense, de-fense, de-fense."

"I sure hope so.", Carter replies after Harriet's assertion of victory, a slight wrinkle of his nose appearing briefly as if there's a hint of doubt there, though he still smiles, cheering on as the Wildcats maintain parity. He glances about the bleachers for a moment before his smile broadens a bit as he spots Ryan happening along right as the first quarter comes to a close. "Heyyy.", he draws out cheerily.

"I don't understand what's going on," Antwon says to Alexandra. "Isn't football season over? Like it's February, right?" He says. "Is this some kind of demonstration game or something off-season?"

Joel watches the game intently, though truth to tell his attention drifts toward the cheer squad more than once. He's clearly not a born sports fan and doesn't pretend to be, but he manages to find the school spirit, yelling out enncouragement and appreciatation at the team's more successful moments.

During the brief lull in the game, Charlene coordinates with Olivia and Samantha to form a three-point pyramid. After some jostling about, she manages to end up on top and joins in with the chant "De-fense! De-fense! We are wildcats, we are fierce! We bring everyone to tears!"

Harriet's hazel eyes roam about the area when Avi points out the fact that the male cheerleader is indeed not actively cheering with the squad. "Hmm," gets emitted softly through a hum past her naturally full lips. "I do believe that a distraction is a distraction, and that any will do," she tries to convince Avi, wriggling her well-groomed eyebrows at him. "And who says you don't need to wear a skirt?" With Alison's enthusiasm ringing out, the brunette tries to put on a brave face for the Wildcats out there on the field. "Typically, we do not do that well, but I tried to convince Charlie to be extra sexy and distract the opposition -- but it seems she's wearing panties this time, so the plan may not work," she overshares far too loudly. A nod is given to Carter in agreement, and after that she's waving slim digits Ryan and Alexandra's way, refocusing on the game.

"Go Wildcats!" Alexandra cheers along with Ryan, smiling once he comes near. "Welcome to the game," she says to him before Antwon talks to her. "I have no idea. It's all sportsball to me. I'm just here to try to show school pride," she answers to Antwon with a wink. Once done with that, she hugs one of Ryan's arms and cuddles against him for warmth. "I singed my jacket," she says to him, lifting up one of her arms to show off the burn patch on the jacket. And also the fact it may have been wet, since ice has formed around that spot. She gives a finger-wiggle wave toward Harriet.

"De-fense! De-fense!" Whether off-season or not, it's an excuse for a bunch of students to freeze their asses off if they sit, so get up in the bleachers. Olivia lends her legs and core to the pyramid. She broadcasts her calls and extortions to the crowd, pulling the Theater Kid experience to get her voice projected out to the crowd.

Shooting Carter with finger guns, Ryan upnods to him, "Sup Carter." he reaches his arm around Alexandra and gives her wamrth as he points to his jersey with 'Wildcats' on it, yelling, "GO WILDCATS! FUCK THE FLASHERS!"

"Come on, number nine!" Avi shouts as he gets the ball for that quick burst - only to physically recoil as the player is tackled hard. "Oof. Well, at least he got the yardage," Avi says, looking on the bright side as he re-takes his seat. "I don't really have the legs for skirts," Avi tells Harriet. "I'll leave those to our hot-girl cheer squad - they're the real reason anyone shows up to these things."

When the quarter ends Samantha steps over to Olivia and Charlene, "Sorry I got a bit distracted there, you want to try and distract them or do a big fancy pyramid in this quarter?"

"God I want to be fancy, but I feel like we need a distraction. It's so brutal," Olivia tecommends to the other girls as she looks out over the field. "Distraction is my vote. If I could just catch one of their eyes, or... is that cheating?"

Charlene hops back down onto the ground and smooths her skirt out after the descent causes it to bounce up and prove Harriet right by displaying her white spankies. Panting softly, she rakes her hair out of her face and takes a moment to strategize with her squad.

"GO CATS!" Carter calls out, popping up from his seat to raise his fists, remaining standing for a moment as he watches the game play out right as that player gets hard tackled, wincing. "Yikes.", he mumbles to himself, fidgeting slightly as he stares for a moment before resuming his seat. "A crop top, perhaps, though?", Carter teases Avi with a silly little grin.

Antwon tells Alexandra, "I got school pride in spades. I mean, fuck Dartmouth, right? It just be nice if we trounce them if it matter. But maybe it good practice for when the season starts next year." He shoots Carter a nod. "Sup, bro," he says. "I mean Avi ain't wrong," Antwon comments of Avi, looking over the cheerleaders. "Them girls the reason to come out."

"Ok next quarter we'll try and distract them." Samantha decides, "Me and Charlie can do some flips so the movement catches their eye and then you give one or two a super sexy look or something when they look over here, sound good?"

"It ain't cheating! It's called talent," Charlene tells Olivia and peers out at the field to look for a likely victim for the scheme. "That guy there, I bet you can get him to look."

"Hey Dashers! I heard that you all cheat on your tests so you have the grades to play! Your classes are useless and you all are terrible sports ball guys!" Ryan yells out as he laughs.

The teams head back out onto the field for the second quarter.

[Send me actions for the second quarter if you haven't already please, tell or stalk]

Harriet eyes Avi's legs briefly, and she insists, "I don't know, Avi. I won't diss them until I see them exposed in a cheerleading skirt." As she's watching the cheerleaders, she does indeed catch the fact that Charlene is wearing underwear tonight.

"And Dasher is the worst Reindeer! WOOOO! Go Prancer!" Ryan adds.

"Consider him en-tranced," Olivia concurs with the others as she rattles her poms with the other girls in agreement. She can and will lend some flips to the squad, having the acrobatics to back it up, but she will aim some mild hypnosis toward the approaching player as her primary move.

Alexander sits down exhaustedly, grabbing a spot near the bleachers. He has a bandaged hand tucked into his chest. He focuses on the game.

"Oh...well I'm sure we'll do fine!" Alison isn't too dispirited by Harriet's explanation, but she's also not exactly making it hard to tell she's not here for the game, either. Once or twice she even cheers for 'Liv' instead of 'Wildcats', just letting that cat right out of that bag. She doesn't seem to care much about the slips, either, "I have to get me one of those outfits..." she muses.

Alexandra stays huddled up against Ryan, mostly for warmth it seems. She offers wordless cheers and whoops as she tries to warm up. "You're getting really into this," she points out to Ryan with a smirk. She leans her face up a bit so she can peck on his cheek.

Joel:lifts an eyebrow in appreciation at the cheerleaders' athletic feat. The more salacious compliments coming from Antwon and Avi draws his attention though, and gives a faint little grin at them over his shoulder "Certainly not hard on the eyes..."

"I mean support the local team, right? You work here, so it's like...you know, being a part of your work, honey." Ryan says with a big smile to Alexander as she pecks him on the cheek, giving her a squeeze with his arm around her, "Oh man, next time I'll bring hot cocoa, it's pretty cold out here."

Ryan meant that for Alexandra not Alexander, oops

"Get your Dungeons and Dragons dice at the Retreat! Be a nerd, join the herd! Sixty-two Deadwood street!" Charlene yells towards the bleachers during a lull in the game, having clearly had to memorize the advertisement.

"Yeah, you Dasher nerds! Get off the field and roll dice at The Retreat! It's an amazing local business!" Ryan chides.

Olivia fires off a pump-up kick (better run, better run) toward the crowd before the next big kick off. Yes Harry, she has spanx and they are black! The sound of her name draws a big holler and a jump and bounce around! "The Retreat can't be beat! If he's got dice better treat him nice!"

Sitting beside Alison on the bleachers, Harriet nods to the younger woman, still looking like she's not very hopeful. "Miracles do happen... sometimes..." is murmured out with her warm breath carried out in a small misty stream into the chill of the wintry night. Her gaze focuses on Samantha, watching the rainbow hue-haired babe, but Olivia's black undergarments are also seen and she blinks a bit. "Well, that plan is not going to pan out, I fear."

"I'd prefer not to have my legs dissed, so I think I'll pass," Avi laughs in response to Harriet. "I could probably rock a crop top, but Ari looks better in them," he admits to Carter. "Better abs from all the wolf wrestling cops have to do," he figures. "Alright, they're heading back on the field, let's see if we can make something happen," he says, not sounding particularly optimistic.

"Hey, what this place needs is like...a pep band. Trombones, trumpets, just like...really get in there and blast them with the horns, right?" Ryan says to Alexander as he whoops and hollars at the field.

Carter looks over to Antwon, giving an upnod in response after his greeting. "Yo.", he replies, his eyes flitting down to the game, a cheery glint in his eyes as he watches the players re-enter the field, a glance passing back to Avi with an amused grin. "I mean, I -suppose- the wolves do make for a good workout.", he deadpans, his eyes flitting upward for a moment before tacking on his favorite phrase. "In a video game."

This quarter the Wildcats start with the ball and as the snap happens the bleachers errupt in cheers, Carter and Avi leading one section with wild applause as the wildcats claim yards quickly. They're held in place for a few minutes, unable to make ground but when Ryan calls out a withering insult to one of the blockers the team breaks through and scores the first touch down of the game. 7-0 to the wildcats. The game resets with the corsairs in possession but as the quarterback throws a pass the receiver is distracted by the acrobatic feats of Samantha and Charlene as they tumble in the air, as he glances in that direction he spots Olivia and stops momentarily dead in place, the football bouncing off his head and being grabbed by one of the wildcats, who intercepts and charges up the field. As Alison and Joel cheer wildly the player dodges one after another tackle while Antwon insults the fool who failed the catch. The intercepting player charges up the field, leaping over the next tackle and scoring once more. Touchdown1 14-0 for the wildcats!

Alexander leans against the bleacher and closes his eyes, smiling faintly. He listens to the crowd cheer, the energy of the assembled, the cheer of the competition and dozes sleepily.

Throwing his other arm around Alexander as the Wildcats score, Ryan jumps up and down, "Oh my god! Oh my god, honey! We scored! Twice! We're in the lead!" Ryan raises his hands up and starts to high five everyone around them, "Fuck yeah, Wildcats!"

Throwing his other arm around Alexandra as the Wildcats score, Ryan jumps up and down, "Oh my god! Oh my god, honey! We scored! Twice! We're in the lead!" Ryan raises his hands up and starts to high five everyone around them, "Fuck yeah, Wildcats!"

Ryan will get this right eventually lol

"Sounds like they are winning. That's good at least," Alexandra points out to Ryan, like he needed that news flash of an update. She lets out some cheers for the team and fist pumps a couple of times.

Olivia seems to be holding herself back from too much moving around--her bouncing and cheer-calls are in place more so than the flips Charlene and Samantha makes, often giving an eye to the enemy quarterback until at last she lights eyes at a timely moment. A blown kiss and a field-crossing whistle accompany a sultry look that somehow works! The Wildcats make brutal capital on that fumble and Olivia erupts into a flurry of shouts and high kicks.

Samantha jumps and cheers for the team, watching Olivia and Charlene out of the corner of her eye as the other girls are ready she steps into the braced hands of one of the guy cheerleaders, being flung up into the air and tumbling end over end before being caught as she falls back to the ground as one of their players intercepts the ball and makes a touchdown she yells out. "Fuck yeah!"

"Hell yeah! Go Wildcats!" Charlene shrieks, thrusting her arms triumphantly into the air. "This town ain't big enough for two teams, partner! We're gonna gun you down!"

Harriet calls to Avi from her place beside Alison, "I feel like you might simply pretending to be modest because you know your legs are better than most, or something along those lines." She looks impressed suddenly as their team scores another touchdown. "Maybe wearing panties is the secret method to winning, after all."

Antwon comments, "Look at how them Dartmouth boys playing. They heart ain't in it, for sure." He looks down at the field, watching the play. "I thought about being a wide receiver, no cap. I played some Pee Wee, but by the time you get to high school you got to choose." He looks over at Avi. "How Ari doing? Last I seen him he seen hella stressed."

"Fuck yeah!", Carter exclaims as the Wildcats land a touchdown, throwing his fists up once more, before he's showing even more enthusiasm after the second one, cheering brightly as he circles around to give Ryan his high-five with a winsome grin. "We're going to put the 'L' in Dartmouth!" There isn't one there. Yet.

Alison gapes at Harriet for a few moments, "Wait, did you really try to get them to...?" she starts to wonder, then shakes her head with another little giggle. Her face is a tapestry of emotion. Well, a few of them, anyway, mostly amused relief that such a plan did not come to fruition...mixed with some clear disappointment that such a plan did not come to fruition.

"You can't touch these wild cats, they've got all the moooooves!" Ryan taunts as he stands in the bleachers and wriggles his hips at the Dashers, "Dartmouth? More like Fartmouth!" he jokes as he upnods to Carter.

"Fartmouth!" Clap clap clapclapclap! Olivia's spins back toward the bleachers, rattling poms off toward the crowd. Alison gets a delighted whistle and hopping dance.

Cheering alongside with Olivia, Ryan starts a chant, "Fart Mouth! Fart Mouth! Fart Mouth! Fart Mouth!"

As the quarter ends Samantha grins at Olivia and Charlene, "That was brilliant Liv." She claims, "Charlie what's with all the weird advertisements though? Did you become a crack addict or something?"

Alexander sits up upon hearing 'fartmouth'. He's unsure he's heard it, then he hears it repeated again. He smiles faintly and winces as he sits back up. He lets out a low whistle for the home team.

"Right, right - in a video game," Avi confirms in solidarity with Carter, before erupting into applause as the home team scores not once, but twice! "Fuck yeah! Go 'Cats!" Getting to his feet, Avi stomps on the bleachers loudly before he drops back down to his seat, voice a bit hoarse as he tells Harriet, "Magic succubus panties." A pause, then he reiterates, "You know, from a video game." He asks Antwon, "How long ago was that? He was fine last night," Avi says confidently.

"Put it back in your pants, Fartmouth Flashers!" Ryan yells.

"Whose child is that?" Avi wonders idly.

"No I didn't! It's just how America works, okay? Sheesh," Charlene mutters and makes a face at Samantha. "Holy crap, it's cold."

Harriet gives a very innocent expression Alison's way. "Well, I was coming up with strategies to attempt to distract the opposition," she confesses, smiling slightly right after. The mention of the magic succubus panties gets the brunette laughing, though, and she looks over at Avi. "Is Ari hiding in the bushes again?" she teases.

"Go Li- uh, Cats!" Alison saves it, super smooth style, "Wooo! Shoot the Flashers!" she definitely mixes some signals with previous callouts, just getting swept right along to terroristic threats with utmost enthusiasm

Alexander is worried he's passed out and is the midst of a fever dream, he gazes around the crowd uncertainly.

The teams head back out onto the field for the third quarter.

[Send me actions for the third quarter if you haven't already please, tell or stalk]

Joel cheers for the team's fortune, though he doesn' get quite as carried away as some of the other fans. Possibly he's not been here long enough to recognize this as an unusual occurrance. He shifts a little on his bench, as if seized by a strange restlessness, his attention steadily flickering between the game and the cheerleaders' display.

"You don't have to bring that up, I was clearly under the influence," Avi insists in response to Harriet.

"Again?", Carter wonders of Harriet's question to Avi, his brows shooting up as if there was something to that one, a little grin coming across his expression, his eyes passing back to the field as the players head back onto the field, squinting slightly. "Mm.", he hums quietly.

"It's not too bad for Haven." Samantha claims to Charlene as she heads back out to the cheer section.

Antwon tells Avi, "It was a couple days ago -- like the basketball game." It's a shrug. "I mean I was in a shitty mood, so maybe I was projecting and shit. Though not gonna lie..." A low smile. "I mean I feel bad I hurt that dude, but it was nice to win."

Quite suddenly, Harriet just starts smiling. She's beaming, really, and her sides tremble as if she's holding back girlish giggling. Her throat has to be cleared through two gentle noises made in the back of it, and she wiggles a bit on the bleacher where she is seated beside Alison. "It was a wonderful time," gets insisted to Avi, and then she tells Carter, "Again!"

"Wildcats claw and Wildcats bite, we are here to win the fight!" Charlene chants as she follows Samantha onto the pitch again, making each step a showy bounce. "Come on, let's send them back with some scars, okay?"

"Fuck yeah! Fuck you Fartmouth! Flash your mom and your grandma! You have terrible taste in shoes and cars!" Ryan yells as he adds insult to the already losing team, "We're the best! White Oak Rules!"

"Sheesh, that guy is a lot," Charlene remarks with a glance in Ryan's direction.

Alexander blinks, something appearing to catch his eye. He sits up and rubs his eyes, then exhales and shakes his head and slips off sometime in the third quarter.

"Oh, maybe? That was a wild night all around, from what I heard," Avi nods at Antwon. "He's fine now though, whatever happened." He gives Harriet an aggrieved look. "You just like to see me suffer," Avi accuses mildly.

"Why would they do that?" Alexandra asks Ryan curiously, not commenting about how it sounds to her. She seems content to stay cuddled against him and watch the game with occasional cheers to support the team and show team spirit.

Carter snickers after Avi's insistence to Harriet, giving a flash of his eyebrows before he looks down to the game. "This is Wildcat Turfffff!", he calls out, pumping his fist as his green gaze flits between the players on the field, watching with a grin, glancing back between Antwon and Avi. "I hope he's doing alright.. Buuuuuut, we did get the dub.", he supposes with a wrinkle of his nose.

As the whistle blows the Corsairs start with the ball, the wildcats are in good spirits as Alison leads a group in the bleachers in cheering for the cheerleaders who in turn rile the crowd up with team spirit chants. Charlene taking the lead as Samantha and Olivia echo her chants and the cheers are picked up and echoed by Joel in his section of the bleachers. The player who scored the second touchdown, number seven, seems to be in particularly high spirits especially as Avi cheers him on and he grins. But as the play continues one of the corsair players rushes number seven and takes him out in a nasty tackle. The whistle blows and the corsair is sent off for the rest of the game, the wildcats being given fifteen yards. But the mood is a lot more subdued and the wildcats aren't able to make the yards they need, forcing a turnover. The corsairs seem determined as they push the dispirited wildcats back and the jeers of Ryan and Antwon seem to only spur them on as the push through for a touch down of their own, pushing the score to 14-7. As the next play starts it looks like another corsair player is looking for a harsh tackle but as Carter gives him a funny look he trips and the rest of the quarter drags out without anyone scoring again.

"Hey Ref! That's bullshit! You see that guy hurt our boy? Get them outta here!" Ryan yells.

"One, two, three, four, let's show Dartmouth out the door! Goooo Wildcats!" Charlene shrieks and does an energetic hop. Once in a while, she glances into the stands at Antwon, but her attention is mostly on the game.

Antwon tells Avi, "He a good dude. Motherfucker keep the Sigmas together, no cap, and I ain't expected that from a cop, you know?" He looks up, not super caring about the score of a demonstration game -- his eyes find Lilah, curious. He upnods her. "Sup," he tells her. "I'm Antwon."

Samantha stands next to Charlene as she echoes the other cheerleaders chant. "Win the fight!" She calls out, rustling her pom poms in front of her. When that hard tackle on number seven comes in she winces, and blinks. "That's fucked up..."

Late, late, late. She's no white rabbit but Lilah scurries in and drops into the first open spot on the bleachers, bookbag hugged in her lap as she tips a look to the field. "Winning?" she asks, before the greetings her way have her offering a quick smile and, "Hey, I'm Lilah."

"No!" Avi leaps to his feet. "That's bullshit!" he shouts as their player is taken out of the game. "Well, that's that," Avi drops back to his seat in the bleachers, looking disgusted. "They're going to score now," he predicts, and when it comes true, he swears again. "Okay, so we just need to hold them off in this last half, we can do this," he says, daring to sound hopeful, despite all evidence and history to the contrary.

Joel seems to grow a bit more subdued as the game goes on, not seeming able to match the more aggressive mood that starts to settle on the crowd. His expression grows a little distant as he shifts in his seat, idly brushing his fingers through his hair.

"We gotta hold them here! Defense! Defense! Whoop their GED asses back to Freshman Year!" Ryan yells.

Harriet is still smiling way too much, and she's flashing those teeth at Avi, not denying his claim at all. She cannot help it, and she winks over at Carter some before she's getting grips on her high and trying to bring herself back down casually. Staring out at the field now, she looks like she has no idea what is actually happening. "This kind of football is so very confusing," she murmurs to Alison.

"Nope, there is no 'this kind' of football," Avi disagrees with Harriet immediately. "There's only football-football. You keep your love for soccer tucked in tight until this game is over."

Carter wrinkles his nose as Dartmouth scores a touchdown, crossing his arms. "Not cool.", he mumbles as Number Seven gets tackled and taken out. "Come on, QB! Fuck 'em up! You can do it!", he cheers out, giving an applause as his glance flits back to Harriet, a little grin coming onto his expression. "Mmm.. did you ever watch Rugby? It's.. Well, a little more like that than, well, -soccer-.", he supposes with a little lift of his shoulders, quick to assert that this is indeed football. "Buuuuut, still different."

"Oh, no yeah I have absolutely no idea what's going on." Alison assures Harriet, "Dumb boy stuff." she reasons, very maturely. She has no idea who Lilah is, but she wiggles her fingers over that way, exclaiming, "Your ears are awesome!" with the same lack of shame she does everything with.

The teams head back out onto the field for the final quarter!

[Send me actions for the fourth quarter if you haven't already please, tell or stalk]

"Let's do a high V with lift, okay? Arms up," Charlene tells Samantha and grabs her squadmate by the waist, grunting faintly with effort to lift her up. "Make sure they can see you properly!"

"Let's gooooo boys! Just hold them one more quarter! Let's do this! Wildcats, WildCats, WILDCATS Hoooooo!" Ryan yells as he holds up his hand like he's holding a sword like the Thundercats, "Beat them down, Jesus Style!"

"Let's go Wildcats!" Stomp-stomp, clap-clap-clap. "Let's go Wildcats!" Avi cheers from the stands as the team heads back onto the field without number seven, unfortunately.

Samantha blinks. "Wait what..." She says as Charlene grabs her but then relaxes as she prepares to do the lift.

Harriet shoots her head over Avi's way before she smirks at him. There's no disagreement with his response to her words, and then she simply waves a hand dismissvely at him. Carter gets a confirming nod, though. "Still different," she agrees wholeheartedly. Relief spreads across her facial features as Alison, too, has difficulty following the rules and plays. She then watches Charlene and Samantha.

Alison jumps up and down, still in position to cheer the cheerleaders, but this time she has channeled her ancestors, and is instead coming up with attempts at morphing the opposing team's name into various unfortunate combinations of bodily functions and body parts, and eventually begins to bypass use of the name at all and simply repeatedly and colorfully implies a lack of masculinity, skill and attractiveness on the away team's part.

"I hope they practiced this," Avi says as Charlene goes in to pick Samantha up. "But if not, I'll be sure to sign Sam's cast if she survives."

"Quit being a baby!" Charlene remarks and hoists Samantha upwards, and with the help of Olivia, she gets the Salte into the air and holds her leg steady. "Come on, Sam! Yeah!"

Carter cheers brightly for Samantha as Charlene moves in to pick her up. "Dude, they -definitely- practiced it.", he asserts to Avi. A moment passes, and he's tilting his head as if suddenly doubtful. "...Right?", he asks a bit quieter.

Harriet gives a faint look of horror Avi's way over his comment about Samantha.

Alexandra lets out some cheers and whoops and fist pumps, calling out, "Go Wildcats!" at various intervals when it seems appropriate for the situation. But mostly she leans against Ryan, watching the game and trying not to look too put out by some of the things he shouts at the visiting team's players, even if she occasionally smirks or snickers at them.

The wildcats get the snap but the QB seems intimidated by what happened to number seven last quarter and as the corsairs rush in he dashes backwards, giving up way too much territory in a panick before Carter's supporting cheers rally him and he makes a pass. But the wildcats can't make the yards they need to and the turn over leaves the corsairs in prime scoring position. They surge forwards but are distracted as Avi's cheers for the cheerleaders draws attention to Charlene as she lifts Samantha up in a dazzling display with the other cheerleaders and the wildcats hold the line. The next surge the large corsair players rush towards the intimitated wildcats and score again, leveling the score at 14-14. The wildcats get the ball and start making decent ground as Alison yells down insults at the corsairs, causing a few irritated looks at the bleaches by their players. As the game draws on the spirit of those in the bleachers flag, almost no cheers are coming from the crowd anymore and it shows as the wildcats fail to make the gains they need and after a hand over are slowly pushed back. They two teams teeter on the edge before the corsairs finally go for a field goal, sailing through to score and put them up, the score is 14-17 when the final whistle blows and the game ends with the corsairs victorious.

"Thanks," Lilah says with a quick, delighted smile, though the ears in question are likely more than a little pink, thanks to the chilly air. As is her nose. But she waves back to Alison, before her phone's beeping yet another alarm. "Crap," she mutters, easing to her feet ot scoot herself away from the crowd, backpack slung over her shoulders as she darts off.

"Ok ok..." Samantha replies to Charlene and is hoisted up in the air, pushing her arms out in a wide Y-shape as she brings her other knee up to stand on Charlene's hands one one foot for a few seconds before she drops back down to be hopefully caught.

"Son of a bitch!" Ryan complains, "We had this! Come on, my dudes!" he frowns as he plops back down on the bleachers, shaking his head to Alexandra, "Sorry, honey. We totes had them most of that game. Them putting our dude out really hurt us."

Harriet holds her breath, hoping, indeed, that Charlene catches Samantha.

Joel shifts a little on the bench, rubbing his forehead a little as the various enraged and grieving calls rage about him.

Carter groans as he watches that field goal, crossing his arms and rolling his eyes with a huff. "Lame." he bitches, sitting back down on the bleachers and scowling at the field for a moment, not looking at anyone in particular.

"They killed it," Avi cheers for the cheerleaders as they manage their stunt without anyone dying, but his cheers die down themselves as the game gets tied up, his fists clenching at his side as the opposing team nails that field goal. "Fuck," he swears, kicking the bleacher in front of himself regardless of who is sitting there. "We were up!" he bitches. "How did we lose!"

Charlene manages to hold Samantha up without an excessive amount of wobbling, and even catches her on the way down again, grinning enthusiastically. "Now they just gotta--aw, come on!" she yells, waving her arms dramatically as White Oak lose. "We almost had them!"

Samantha gives Charlene a relieved grin when she's caught. "Never doubted you." She claims, hopping up and smoothing out her skirt just in time to look up and see their team lose. "Well... that sucks."

Alexandra lets Ryan stand up for the yelling at the defeat, but blinks a couple of times. "I have no idea what just happened, but that looks like a terrible way to lose," she comments to Ryan, shaking her head. She stands up though and holds her hand out to Ryan to help him back up off the bleachers. "Losing our players certainly did not help, no," she says in agreement with him, even if she has no idea what actually happened.

Ryan sighs as he lets Alexandra help him up and nods to her, "Well, we'll get them next time. It's good to come and support it." he grins at Alexandra's jersey as he says, "At least we got to wear our jerseys out, right? That counts for something. School pride!"

"We were leading like the whole time, too," Charlene complains, giving off dejected body language as she watches the players trudge off the field.

The teams exchange handshakes, although the mood isn't great and the corsairs are heading off the field, chatting amongst themselves about celebrating at the Nymph while they're in town. The locals engage in Haven's favorite passtime, explaining why the last football loss was unfair as they start to drift away from the bleachers...

Antwon shrugs. "It's a demonstration game," he says, rising from the bleachers. "We just gotta have the edge when the season starts."

"We would have won if they hadn't fouled number seven with that illegal hit," Avi complains irritably. "I say we take a bus over to their school next weekend and toilet paper their gym."

Alexandra snickers quietly at Ryan and puts her arms around his neck. "But, important lesson time here. Some times, even the team that loses can get to have a happy ending," she tells him before giving him a quick peck on the lips.

Harriet relaxes again once Charlene successfully catches Samantha. She releases a wolf whistle at them, and Olivia as well.

"You should organize an afterparty or something." Samantha tells Charlene, bringing a hand up to stifle a yawn. "I gotta go lay down for a bit." She explains.

"Mmm..." Ryan says as he grins down at her, "Well, yeah. And hey, maybe if you whip them up in that phys ed class of yours, maybe we'd win a few more games, right?"

"Woah there, Ted Kazynski," Charlene quips as she treks up into the bleachers, giving Samantha a wave. "Okay, Sammie. See you later."

"Could always fast travel. Fun little video game trick.", Carter quips to Avi with a lift of his brows as if referring to something, before letting his shoulders fall, relaxing after a moment with a sigh.

"I heard they were going to the Nymph, we need to sic our ugliest strippers on them." Samantha proposes, giving her friends a small wave before she slips off the field.
