Autumns Odd Encounter Sr Lilah 240314

One eerie night in the lighthouse bedroom, Autumn finds herself caught in an unexpected hex that converts her from a mundane evening into a whirlwind of magical chaos. As she browses on her phone, a mysterious glitch overtakes the device, and a cascade of transformations ensue, twisting and warping her into bear form. Despite her efforts to call for help using her Order comms, her human voice fades into an ursine roar, leaving her struggling with her new unwieldy form. In the midst of confusion and fear, she knocks over items in her room, reflecting the disorder of her transformation. This dramatic scene sets the stage for an urgent search for a solution, with her identity locked in the body of a bear, anxiously awaiting rescue.

Alexander, a fellow Order member, rushes to the rescue, encountering Autumn in her beastly state amidst the chaos of the transformed room. After a moment of stunned disbelief, he bravely confronts the situation, asserting control with magic in an attempt to communicate with Autumn. Realizing the severity of the curse, possibly linked to a glitch within her phone's Myhaven app, Alexander devises a plan to reverse the enchantment. Together, they perform a ritual, focusing their combined energies against the malignant spell. Their efforts culminate in the undoing of the curse, reverting Autumn back to her human form, albeit leaving her in a peculiarly vulnerable state of nudity. Their successful collaboration not only restores Autumn's humanity but also reinforces the bond between these two characters, highlighting their resilience and teamwork in the face of bewildering magical dilemmas.

In the lighthouse bedroom
This small room is sparse and serves as living quarters for the
lighthouse keeper. Rough stone walls form an insulated barrier from the sea
and begin to curve toward the entrance of the stairwell. A bed rests in the
corner of the room beside a porthole-style window while bookshelves line the
wall with numerous old volumes of marine history.

It is night, about 41F(5C) degrees, and the sky is covered by dark grey stormclouds. There is a waxing crescent moon.

(Your target has been hexed and transformed into an animal against their will. Unable to turn back they need to try to find allies who can understand their problem and find a way to undo the curse.
)
Autumn is lying on the bed, browsing on her phone while her legs are crossed a bit.

It's just another night in Haven. At least the weather's cleared up a bit? It's still chilly, but no snow, no hail, nothing out of the ordinary is going on. Or is it? As Autumn chills out, her Myhaven app starts to blink and flash on her screen - even if it wasn't open, before.

Her screen blinks off, then on again but when it comes on, its an odd reddish tint, instead of the usual bright light glow. Then off it goes again.

Puffing her cheeks when the glitch interrupts her private business on the phone, Autumn examines the device, turning it around before tapping on the screen. "Must be hex," she mutters to herself while checking the settings screen.

Ah, a hex it is, and one that very quickly prevents Autumn from using her phone any longer. But it's not the sort of hex that merely affects technology. No, this particular magic affects Autumn herself. Thankfully, Autumn is in fairly good with the strongest sorcerers in town, right? So it can't be them.

But something happens. First, she'll find herself unable to use her hands properly - her thumbs just stop working. Then, they seem to twist, to fold in on themselves until they're gone. Her nails grow thicker and longer, more like claws. Autumn's already tall, but even so she can feel her body stretching, growing bulkier. Her clothing tears, shredding from her body, but she'll no longer have need of it anyway, as thick black fur grows in a wave down her body, covering tanned skin in a thick, warm pelt.

As the transformation from human into bear begins, Autumn might have time enough to reach out for help. Maybe, if she's quick, she might get a message out on her comms before her voice becomes nothing but an ursine snarl.

As she notices her hands changing and her clothes ripping off, Autumn frantically tap her earpiece into her Order comms while she watches her nude body change. "This is Autumn Lynx speaking and I need help and lighthou-rrrooar!" Her eyes widen in confusion and panic until she rolls and falls off the bed, causing her earpiece to fall off her ear.

This is definitely not a wolf. Larger, shaggier, bipedal and with the ability to almost use her front paws the way she would have used her hands prior to the transformation, Autumn is decidedly a bear. Black furred and far too large for a small light-house bedroom, as the magic finishes washing over the woman, all that's left of who she used to be is locked within. Her mind is hers. Her body is definitely not.

The call over comms for the Order sounds confusing, huskier and deeper than her usual voice, but Alexander will hear: "This is Autumn Lynx speaking and I need help and lighthou-rrrooar!"

Alexander is in the car and off, he's like. Kind of just ready for that, you know? He's used to it. Like where does it sit on the scale? A six? Maybe? He humms as he drives, listens to some tunes. When he arrives the bedroom, he's...well. It feels a little weirder when he sees it for himself, that's for sure.

Getting up to her bear feet, Autumn looks around the room with more confusion until she catches sight of a mirror, in which she doesn't see herself but a black bear instead. She lets out a roar and scrambles back, knocking over stuff as she flees into the kitchen.

There may well be a collision of man and bear as Autumn barrels backwards in confusion, charging for the kitchen after a look at herself in the mirror. To Alexander, at first glance, there's no sight of the woman at all, any longer. Shredded clothes lay scattered on the bed, her phone there abandoned, but where a woman once lived, a bear reigns now. Standing a massive six and a half feet tall, with claws and an expression that changes from dazed and scared to enraged and back again in heartbeats might scream a WARNING to the man.

Alexander yelps. "AH!' he bellows, as a bear pulls on him, for a moment he's left stunned by it. He is no cowardly normie. He doesn't flee at the sight of a wild animal! He's a brave and bold wizard! A magical man! But, then again it's a fucking BEAR. He staggers back and takes a deep breath then, holds his hand up, ring shining as he bellows out a command to the beast, "SIT!""

Autumn the bear roars again, claws clashing on the floor until she finds Alexander. She stands up, bumping her head on the ceiling and she starts to go wild until the man's command causes her to pause.

Alexander uses the beat to poke his head into the room and looks for...well. Blood. Gore. A maimed Autumn.

There is no maimed Autumn to be found. As the bear rages and then freezes, Alexander can see into the room. There's no blood at all. No gore. Nothing to suggest any type of frenzied attack except for the shredded clothes that so clearly belonged to the woman in question. But his magic won't hold forever, and Autumn the bear is going to have to be dealt with in some way -- perhaps Alexander would choose to ensnare her mind with a quiet command and let her wander off into the forest to live with others of her kind?

Alexander gazes at the bear and then tilts his head. "...Autumn?" he asks.

Upon hearing her name, Autumn rears her furry head towards Alexander and lets out a low roar. A cry for help, perhaps, as her eyes stare into the man. She then struggles to stand still while letting out a whine.

Alexander...reaches out for a moment and tries to pat her head gently. "Worry not...was this a cursed item? Experimental mishap?" he peeks around the room and frowns.

Autumn lets Alexander pet her as she whines again. Lifting her paw, she points it towards her bed where her phone sits.

On the bed where she's dropped it, Autumn's phone continues to flash. The screen shuts off, going entirely blank, then lights back up with a pale red light behind it, flickers, and shuts off again. Should Alexander take a closer look, he'll see that it's the Myhaven app, of all things, that seems to have glitched so badly, though nowhere near as badly as Autumn has.

Alexander grimaces. "I heard people could use the app for...hm..." He shakes his head plainly and looks to Autumn. "I can unwork a curse maybe. But if it's something else I may need help," he notes. He scratches his chin a moment, and moves to try to inspect the phone careeeefully.

The phone itself doesn't seem to be a problem. Nor does the app, though it flickers and blinks that unpleasant red light. But as soon as Alexander picks it up, there's a tingle through his hands that screams of magic. Of something cursed. Unfortunately, this curse isn't quite as simple as the typical flashes of lightning and bursts of heat and cold that so often find their way into the hands of Haven's arcanists. This one - well, it won't take long to figure out that this one is the cause of what's happened to Autumn.

But wouldn't it just be easier to leave her as she is, a simple bear without the conflicted loyalties between demonic pacts and do-gooder organizations?

Alexander doesn't seem to think so. He gives Autumn a smile and beckons her. "We're going to lift this curse together, alright? I need you to come here, and I'm going to work a circle around you and this phone."

With a slow nod towards Alexander, Autumn gets down on all fours and pads back into the bedroom. She watches her phone glitch again and looks back to Alexander, nodding again before she pads towards him.

Alexander offers her his hand, reassurence. It might be a little condescending but she -is- a bear. "Now, do your best, join me in the chants, maybe little...bear grumbles. It'll help me, promise."

Alexander might be lying. He also might be recording this

As Alexander creates his circle and brings Autumn the bear into it, the phone sparks. This is undeniably a warning to the would-be sorcerer not to tamper with it, and it hurts. Is it enough to make him drop the device? A moment later, Alexander will feel something far worse than that spark though, as the tingle of magic runs through him, causing his palms to feel numb and his thumbs to grow stiff and unwieldy. It seems to be taking over him a lot more slowly than it did the woman. Perhaps the spell is reaching its limits?

Alexander says "Fuck... "
Alexander exhales softly, he works faster, trying to get the circle set, trying to elaborate the parts of the ritual he'll...well. Need to be human for? The phone clatters and he uses his foot to nudge it into position.

Autumn squints her eyes at Alexander before she places her paw onto his. She starts to grumble with a glance at her torn clothes. The sparking phone, however, catches her eyes and, with a frown, she grumbles more before she lifts her head up and roars out, as if calling out for something.

The phone sparks again, as Alexander and Autumn join hands, or what now currently serves as hands. This time, the electricity arcs from it, distinctly and definitely trying to separate the pair by striking that connection. It spins on the ground, sparking and flashing and looking for all the world like a technological temper tantrum is at play. And then it goes still, though it's not dead. The screen still blinks between black nothingness and that eerie red.

Alexander groans and takes her hand. He tries to work through the words that he can manage quickly, between them the phone. Perhaps spent. The magic joined between the two of them.

Holding onto Alexander's hand, Autumn continues to roar and grumble as she hangs on, trying to channel her energy and spirit against the phone despite being a bear. When the phone emits electricity, she winces but she still stands next to her fellow Orderlite.

As Alexander completes the ritual, the first noticeable signs are the return of feeling to his limbs. His thumb finally closes over Autumn's paw. Then, as time wears on, her own limbs start to return to normal, the fur shrinking back off her body - her suddenly naked body. She shrinks down, losing mass in ways science claims is impossible, but then again she's also just changed species. The phone sparks again, then goes dead - drained of power in more ways than one.

Alexander exhales in relief as they managed to unwork the spell together. "Thank you Autumn, that would have been unbearable..."

It was, in fact, unbearable. But now neither of them needs to bear the burden of being a bear any longer.

// Let me know where I can drop you off, if you need a ride!

With the curse broken, Autumn changes from bear to bare naked human. "Yeah," she lets out a low chuckle despite her full nudity before Alexander.

Alexander blushes brightly. "...Um. You're bare naked."

"Oh right," Autumn blushes as well, moving her hands to cover her groin.
