Selinas Odd Encounter Sr Trevor 240609

In the tranquil yet subtly tense ambiance of a well-lit bar, Selina finds herself at the center of an odd encounter that would soon unravel into a perplexing adventure. Seated alone, with an air of detachment and keen awareness, she piques the curiosity of a seemingly out-of-place waiter. This slender man with dark eyes, already a subject of whispers among his colleagues, approaches Selina under the guise of casual conversation. Despite his flustered introduction, marred by what could easily be misinterpreted as a lewd act due to his nervous fidgeting, Selina's sharp retort slices through the discomfort, setting the stage for a revealing dialogue.

The man, eager yet hesitant, finds in Selina's daunting presence a confidante, or perhaps a challenger to his secretive excitement. It's this mix of apprehension and thrill that leads him to share hints of a clandestine meeting he's involved in—the Sapphire Martyrs' gathering. This group, obsessed with the activation of an ancient artifact believed to hasten Earth's destruction, unwittingly entangles Selina in their web of fatalistic endeavors. The conversation between Selina and the waiter serves as a catalyst for her involvement in a dangerous game of moral choices, stealth, and potential confrontation. Through sharp wit and a dangerous blend of curiosity and courage, Selina is thrust into the heart of an impending crisis, setting the tone for an intricate dance between the preservation of order and the allure of chaos.

At the bar
This well lit area is home to a long, polished bar that stretches from
west to east along the centermost portion of the northern wall. A number of
refrigerators and shelves within have been filled with various drinks and
town memorabilia for display, but the large head of a black bear mounted
higher on the wall attracts more attention. Food for the bar is prepared on
a cast iron cooking surface behind the bar, but well within sight of
patrons. It's so large that several different meals can all be cooked at
the same time.

Starting to the side of the Lodge's entrance to the north, several booths
follow the old hardwood walls and wrap around the pool tables to the east.
Their sequence is only interrupted there by the exit to the courtyard in the
distance.

A small HD flatscreen television hangs in the southwestern corner, open to
sight for all of those at the bar.

It is morning, about 85F(29C) degrees,

(The characters stumble upon a hidden meeting of the Sapphire Martyrs in an abandoned warehouse. They overhear the Martyrs discussing a powerful, ancient artifact located in the town, which they believe, when activated, will hasten the destruction of Earth. The characters must decide whether to intervene and stop the Martyrs or to let them proceed with their plan. The encounter could involve a mix of social interaction, stealth, and combat as the characters navigate the situation, perhaps trying to steal the artifact, convince the Martyrs to abandon their plan, or alert the authorities. The Martyrs, despite their fatalistic outlook, are not mindless zealots and may be reasoned with, possibly leading to complex moral choices for the characters.)
Selina is seated at the counter, legs crossed at the knee, eyes closed, just Listening to her surroundings in the early morning. Several stools around her are left empty, and the wait staff mostly seems to be avoiding her in general. Several occasionally whisper and point at her, since htey presume she is not looking.

It's unfortunately another disgusting morning in Haven. The outside air is hot, and inside - in this air conditioned Bar seems to be a good enough place to chill out. Both, literally and figuratively.

One of the wait staff seems a little animated about something, that part might be obvious to Selina - the way they talk, the way they move. They're obviously trying to hide something or the other, but they're also somewhat.. bragging? This particular figure, a man from the looks of it, stands at about five foot seven, he's got dark eyes and a rather slender frame. The rest of the wait staff seem to be avoiding him as well, he must be new and not particularly well-versed in waiting tables.

Taking the eyes closed Selina for someone he could talk to, the man breaks plenty of social cues to slide into a stool next to her. "Long night friend?" He asks of Selina, fidgeting excitedly with something in his pocket.

Selina slowly opens her pale blue eyes and turns both her body and gaze toward the stranger next to her. "Nothing the hot brown morning potion cannot cure," she assures him, though her verbage may be confusing. She notes the man's hand fidgeting in his pocket and says, "Touching yourself in public is a terrible first impression." Her coolly neutral face makes the observation so much more cruel than if she had a look of disgust, as a denial of any real reaction at all to what could be perceived as a lewd act. Her gaze narrows as if daring him to prove her wrong about his current activity, with a hint of amusement in her eyes that does not reach her lips.

The man looks over Selina with a curious gaze, the fidgeting stopping for a moment. He was definitely not touching himself in public, but, the woman has sort of challenged him to revealing it, and seemingly wants to play some sort of mental game with him. But, no, he's here for a purpose - Selina seems like someone who's got no cares left, judging by the cool, neutral expression she gives the man.

He chuckles lightly, eventually sliding his hand out of his pocket. "You're right, it's definitely a terrible first impression." He inhales, and calms his excitedness, "Sorry about that," he admits freely. Judging by his breath that washes over Selina, he might be a few drinks in - and he seems rather loose, and affable. "I'm just having a good week." A grin pulls at the corner of his lips, and he sort of leans in. Whatever's got him excited, seems like he's willing to spill whatever it is.
