Based loosely off of the Five Families and the Commission that runs the Mafia, The Association is an organizing body for a certain criminal element in the northeastern United States. They apparently possess strong ties to the American Mafia, an organization for which they occasionally serve as enforcers for. There are rumors that the body has existed in secret for some time, but, more recently it has made itself known in, of all places, the small sleepy town of Haven, Massachusetts. They appear to have similarly strong ties to Wilson Syndicate and the rumors of those ties are deep enough that they might considered to be 'wholly owned', but the truth of that remains to be seen.
They have strong ties to organized crime, but are known, by and large to avoid the outright slave trade -- whoring, hooking and the rest however are rather fair game.
Their core tenants are simple:
- Loyalty: Be faithful to the organization, for they are your brothers and sisters
- Silence: Be silent on regards to matters of importance to the organization
- Honor: Deal faithfully but treat any betrayal as an act of great disrespect
