The Keystone Foundation's tenets are those of honor, charity, education, faith and social responsibility. Throughout history there are examples of those from all walks of life who have embodied these goals and bettered the lives of all. While it is undeniable that the temptations of power and wealth often taint, The Keystone Foundation hold that it is possible to resist them and find a higher purpose in one's life. Historically they can point to numerous examples of scientific and cultural advances made by such persons that have benefited the world in general.

Primarily concerned with research, the Foundation runs a number of laboratories that work to find answers in the realms of medicine, psychology, physics and metaphysics and even the occult or arcane sciences. Their research work includes making use of various tech and methodologies recovered from the fallen 'big three', partly through the assistance of their benefactors. They believe that it is their job to assist those with exceptional ability to pursue their works in the hopes of finding ways to improve the lives of all while maintaining a balance between their supernatural tendencies and a moral and ethical life. For those who struggle with the temptations of the supernatural or who are drawn towards the darker side and the corruption that often comes with power, they offer a helping hand through various charitable programs.

The Foundation maintains that it is their duty to promote their work, offering opportunities to the community to participate. As such, they are known to run research projects and trials, some in-house, some open to the public. Their works include (but are not limited to) the use of drugs and other therapies to attempt to slow or halt the slide into corruption, research into the process of supernatural activation and experimental treatments of latent or passively supernatural gened humans or those who have recently activated. They believe that working in Haven, in close proximity to the gate and a large supernatural population, will provide more opportunities for advancing their understanding in these areas.

The Keystone Foundation's general activities revolve around offering mediation and diplomatic services, charity on a local and regional/national/world scale, support of those involved in scientific research and the protection of those in need, particularly those who are resisting corruption and seeking to better the world as a whole though they also run general outreach and community support programs. Some consider them to be scientific zealots, their methods occasionally causing questions of ethics despite their insistence that all is for the greater good. It has also been noted that they are secretive with their methods and results at times, claiming that it would do more harm than good to be shared with the general public and pointing at unfortunate past events that had devastating results as proof.
