Job

Struggling Soul Singer

"Summer nights in mama's kitchen where she was long gone. Grandma used to tell me stories. Some made up. Some real. At the end she'd always send me off with some gris-gris. Little bracelets and charms. I used to sit in mama's kitchen. Waiting to hear her voice. Waiting to hear the sounds of catfish frying on Saturday mornings before choir practice. Mama was in all white. Hair wrapped up white, too. I always wondered why she wore all white but never to church...”

A distant memory, Cole

A struggling soul singer from the dirty south leaving his sports days and childish things behind has arrived in Haven. Not much may be known at the man but he's on a mission. What that is has yet to be known. Some may have heard him asking the locals about a woman named Thereze Page.

Overview

The Core

Hood Shit
"Naw, run that shit back." Born and raised in some of the tougher parts of New Orleans and Baton Rogue, his sense of awareness of danger has toughened up over the years. Still... Very much unaware. Find him in town smoking blunts, blasting trap music, and hustling for extra cash.

Southern Charm.
"Excuse, me sir?" He was raised by his grandmother and father, both are old school and country in their ways. Expect some of that southern charm when you ask a favor of the man.

Baptist Boy/Soul Singer
"God what have I done?" Baptist Boy all his life. He knows he isn't right with the Lord right now but uses his voice to sing in church once in a while. You might see him at a jazz club or records pub using his god-given gift.

[Gentleman by Gallant] "Tell me, have you ever had a gentleman? If not, then girl you deserve a gentleman..."

[Goosebumps by Travis Scott ft. Kendrick Lamar] "I get those goosebumps every time, yeah, you come around, yeah You ease my mind, you make everything feel fine Worried 'bout those comments, I'm way too numb, yeah It's way too dumb, yeah I get those goosebumps every time, I need the Heimlich Throw that to the side, yeah I get those goosebumps every time, yeah, when you're not around (straight up) When you throw that to the side, yeah (it's lit) I get those goosebumps every time, yeah"

[Two-Faced Woman by Curley Weaver] "Everytime I see you woman, I'm glad that knife is clean."

Comments

“Daddy, dear, spare your feelings- I'm reliving moments feeling more residual. I can buy the building, burn the building, take your heart, rebuild the building just to fuck some more. I can justify my love for you and touch the sky for God to stop debating war. I'd put you on a pedestal... I'd put you on a high horse... I think you're to die for- I know you're to die for. Peter Piper picked a pepper, I could pick your brain and put your heart together. Weed apart the shady parts and party hard, the diamonds yours but the Coupe forever. You're my best shot and I just might shoot forever.” – Lil Mama?
