Autumns Ghost Banishing 240120

(Autumn's ghost banishing)

[Fri Jan 19 2024]

On the Sprawling Hillside of Arkwright Cemetery

It is night, about 1F(-17C) degrees, and there are a few dark grey stormclouds in the sky. There is a waxing gibbous moon.

A brisk wind picks ups, blowing into the gaveyard from the ocean. Dark clouds start to gather overhead and with a crack of thunder lightning strikes the gravestone! As an eerie cackling starts to echo through the area a terrible coastal storm starts to lash the graveyard.

"I've yet to see a single human in the Temple around so as far as I'm concerned I'm a free agent." Jodie says with a smirk, "But with no where else to go I think I'll stay right where I am."

It's then the storm begins to roll in and she does up her jacket tighter, "Stupid weather." she says, not understanding the gravity of the situation

"It is just the wording," Savannah says to Autumn as she begins to brace herself with the cold wind and the storm that begins to lash at the graveyard and the three women. She thins her lips and leans in towards the wind now, coat buffeting around herself as she looks over to Jodie, "Yes, unfortunately, it seems like quite a few people have been sent elsewhere more often these days."

A fierce howling wind gusts through the graveyard, kicking up sharp branches and brambles that tear at clothes and skin.

Taking a step back when the lightning strikes the gravestone, Autumn stands and braces the storm as she raises both of her heads out. "Another one of those ghosts," she mutters while the branches tear her up. With a low chant, her hand bracelet starts to glow as she channels her magic.

"So this is a ghost doing this?" Jodie says glumly, she seems more pestered by the weather than threatened by it. "I can't say I have much of a talent for magical stuff so this is really on you."

"I have found that over time, it is just about lending your focus," Savannah says to Jodie as she is whipped at by the wind, brambles lashing at her pants and coat. She braces herself for now, letting Autumn do her work while trying to keep an eye about the place just in case something else comes at them instead of weather, her braided hair whipping around behind her.

A brilliant flash of lightning blinds anyone who hasn't covered their eyes.

"Yes it is so that is why it needs to be banished," Autumn mutters towards Jodie, her cloak and hair swaying from the winds. "Spirit who summoned this storm, seize your hex or be banished to Hell-" She is then interupted when the flash blinds her, causing her to stagger back and rub her eyes.

Jodie slams her eyes shut after getting eye blasted by light. "Fuck." she swears harshly and puts her arm over her eyes for more cover, "What's got this ghosty so pissed off?" she cracks her eyes open to peek over her arm at Autumn and says, "Oh yeah just ask it nicely to fuck off, that will totally work." her tone is sarcastic

"We have enough storms and problems with water as it is in this town," Savannah calls out to Jodie and Autumn, speaking louder now that the wind and storm is worse. That flash interrupts everything though, and she lifts her arm up to cover her face and eyes, crying out, "Damn it!" She seems to stumble some, moving closer to Jodie and Autumn as she wanders in that direction, "Maybe we have to tell it harshly to fuck off!"

A heavy tree branch, flung by the storm, crashes into Autumn's mid-section.

"How about you be quiet for once and let me concentrate?" Autumn seethes at Jodie once she regains her sight. "I know how to banish bad spirits like this one. Damn, so tedious." Turning back to the grave, she starts chanting once more, her voice growing deeper and growing rage in her eyes as her left hand's bracelet glows brighter. But then she is struck by a heavy branch and falls to the ground, which only causes the dusky person to let out her rage against it, her magic pulsing as the branch starts to smoulder.

"I dont think the ghosty liked that." Jodie tells Autumn as she observes the tantrum with a hint of amusement, but this amusement is clouded by the insane weather that threatens to batter her down along with the others.

Savannah crouches down to take some shelter behind one of the larger monuments of death within the cemetery. She looks over towards Autumn, about to say something, but that branch crashes into the ground and she shakes her head, letting the woman work in quiet for now as she nods to Jodie in agreement.

A heavy tree branch, flung by the storm, crashes into Autumn's mid-section.

The only real threat to the ghost seems to be Autumn and as a result Jodie just sort of stands around avoiding tree branches and the like. She could probably help Autumn by shielding her with her own body but she does not seem to have an inclination to do so.

"You are not helping at all," Autumn mutters as she gets out from under the smouldered branch and gets to her feet. Facing the gravestone, she gets hit by another heavy branch. "Damn ghost. I will banish you to eternity of suffering," she struggles to move the branch away and get back up while she taps on her earpiece.

Autumn says "Yes, it's at lawn northwards. I'm currently dealing with this damn ghost with one of sun human's Demolisher, and the spirit is getting on my nerves."
A wave of sharp hail lashes the group, stinging their skin and tearing at their clothing.

Autumn says "I doubt it would work on this one. It's attacking me with branches."
Upon pushing the second branch away, Autumn slowly gets back up, her right arm clutching her abdomen as she holds her left hand out. "I command you to leave this realm at once or I will make it painful for you," she seethes and she falls into deep chants.

Autumn's back suddenly arches, their eyes glowing briefly as they chant out suddenly "Row... Row... Row..." before their body returns to their own control.

Jodie side eyes Autumn with skeptism as she tries to command things to do what she wants. Thats seemingly weird to her. But singing row row row out loud is a whole other level to the woman and she goes, "What was that?"

Jodie's head cocks at the howling that pierces through the wind. It's not connected to what is happening here but it does seem to take her interest even though there is more pressing matters right now

Autumn pauses as she becomes possessed, chanting 'row' before she regains control. "Whatever is causing these spirits to appear will have special place in Hell," she mutters, ignoring Jodie as she channels her magic towards the grave, the glow pulsing until it flashes red-orange.

A disturbing giggle turns into a scream as the spirit is finally banished, the dark clouds overhead rumbling as if in impotent rage as they slowly begin to retreat. The rain finally stops and the wind settles, in the distance off the coast a dark ship can be seen slipping away.
