Originating in the island of Crete, the Teresi family is one of the more influential families in the island. Known for their involvement in biomedical research, the Teresi also sponsor numerous medical research projects at both the University of Crete and the Foundation of Research and Technology. The family was led by its patriarch Stephanos Teresi, a neuro-surgeon and business man, and his brother Andreas.
As the eldest son of Stephanos, the expectation was that Stellos would inherit his father's position as leader of the family. To this end, the Teresi patriarch ensured that Stellos received the best education available, leading to a degree in Biochemistry and a path to continue on to medical school.
With Stephanos acting as the poster boy of the family, the more insidious business interests were left for Andreas to manage. It was also Andreas's responsibility to teach Stellos about the family's unethical medical research practices, which led to research the family then would sell to the highest bidders. Stellos developed a marked interest in this side of the family and Andreas was happy to mentor his nephew. Andreas and Stellos grew quite close, and it was Andreas who sponsored him when Stellos joined the Kalopsian Mysteries, a group of hardline Greek loyalists.
Andreas also became Stellos mentor within the Mysteries and under his tutelage, Stellos quickly advanced through the ranks showing lot of promise. That is until a fallout with his uncle due to philosophical differences within the Mysteries, led to Stellos having to leave the country and Andreas stealing his birthright by taking over his family. Stellos has now found his way to America, hoping to connect with others of similar beliefs to his.
