Clues
Clues are hints to various IC events, there are four types of possible clues.
Plot Clues: Created by SRs with the plot addclue function, these go to random
characters in the game. Characters with those clues can give them to others
with give plot clue (character) Or they can be tortured out of them by
using victimize (target) sublimate. This requires the torture to have been reasonably
successful to work.
Scheme Clues: Created automatically when someone creates a scheme and held by
all members of the faction that scheme is being run by. Characters with these
clues can give them to others with give scheme clue (character) Or they can
be tortured out of them using victimize (target) sublimate. Characters also have
a one in three chance to get a scheme clue when they ‘roughup’ a member of the
faction running the scheme. Alternatively scheme research spends 100 favor to
get the intel without needing to acquire a clue. Once this has been obtained a
character can see the full info with scheme info and attempt to thwart the scheme.
Witness Clues: Given out to characters in the borough that a haunting is
taking place in, or if they are the target of a predatory patrol of someone with
a haunting in that borough. These characters can share the clue with an investigator
by using the witness command.
Haunting Clues: Created by the individual haunting a borough, these need to
be rundown using the investigation rundown command.
