(Constance’s Wednesday night odd encounter(Constance):Constance)
[Wed Jun 25 2025]
An alleyway where reality doesn’t seem altogether correct
It is night, about 75F(23C) degrees, and there are clear skies. The mist is heaviest At Carnation and Oakwood/span
There is a new moon.
(Your target discovers a seemingly abandoned occult shop whose proprietor has been trapped in a binding circle by a would-be thief. The proprietor promises a reward if freed, but the circle’s warnings suggest they might be something far more dangerous than they appear.)
is walking down the street when she simply happens to come across Gwyndolyn. She squints, holding up her shotgun, before seeing the symbol etched upon Gwyndolyn’s quartz ring. She nevertheless grimaces, and is about to ask a question when an abandoned storefront nearby suddenly has all the glass bust out from within it, littering the street with shards. It looks like a dusty old antique store – no, on second look, the nameplate says JACOBY’S TAROT & OCCULT ACCESSORIES. The huge woman swears and spins on the store, pointing the firearm into its dark depths.
Gwyndolyn freezes as soon as the shotgun is pointed her way, though it seems she is more-so confused as to why Constance wouldn’t recognize her. She raises a hand – “Sister Constance?” She smiles charismatically, though it was, admittedly, a bit late to be walking outside. All that is moot, as the storefront collapses right next to her, and the woman protectively lifts her trench coat to shield herself from the falling shards.
There’s a grimace, once the noise settles and the shock is over, and she peers inside, her eyes adjusting to the darkness of the tarot reading shop.
Constance turns and squints as the apparition, evidently just not recognizing her at all. “I have no idea who you are,” she mutters. “But something’s going on in there so I’m going to see what.” She steps over the blown-out window frame and heads into the stacks, and there’s a flash of red light and a startled, masculine yelp shortly afterwards.
Gwyndolyn follows close by, chalking up the non-recognizance to the poor lighting at this hour. Gwyndolyn seemed fairly relaxed, still, the blown out window the least of her concerns for someone who had recently dealt with ghosts and all sorts of mist creatures. Nonetheless, she had quietly slipped an axe from out of her guitar case, keeping it held in one-hand. Her eyes follow the flash of light, immediately running ahead towards the sound. “Bonjoour?” She calls out, in a voice a bit too playful for the situation.
Gwyndolyn comes across Constance overlooking a strange scene – held in a red-limned ritual circle drawn with chalk and blood is an elderly man, bleeding from the head, on the ground. He taps idly at the ‘walls’ of his invisible prison, and a masked anthropoid figure with a small pistol in his hands – and a piece of chalk in the other – is boggling at the two interrupting women. “You there!”, the man states. “This thief is trying to steal my life’s work! All of my – I – My name is Jacoby, you can have anything you want from my store if you stop him and let me out!”
Gwyndolyn didn’t need to be told what to do twice. This seemed a good excuse for violence as any. She darts forward at the masked figure, looking to leverage her size and toughness to get in close and wrestle with his arm for the gun, not intent just yet on resorting to lethal force – that being the axe in her other hand.
Constance is startled as Gwyndolyn darts in and utilizes her training in grappling to pin the thief’s hand behind his back, the pistol clattering to the ground – and going off, putting a bullethole in the wall. The man shrieks in pain and fear, and starts babbling – “No, please, fuck, don’t let it out it’ll- it’ll fucking kill me-“, he gasps, begging. Constance narrows her eyes, pensively…
Gwyndolyn narrows her eyes back to Constance, sharing in her suspicion – but not before she drives a foot onto the back of the ‘thief’s knee, letting go of him at the same time and inevitably sending the man tumbling to the ground. She kicks the pistol away towards the busted storefront, for good measure, before crouching near him and taking a hand to the collar of his shirt. “Calm down, now.” She demands, rather paradoxically. “From the top. Who are you, and what is happening here?” She exchanges looks between the man she had just disarmed, and the old man trapped inside the ritual circle.
Constance comments, “Sounds like me like someone’s trying to make a bargain,” as the ‘thief’ starts talking, whimpering in pain from his knee being kicked in. Faced with so many armaments, it seems like he doesn’t intend to try getting back up. “Look, I came in here to rob this fucking place because it’s empty and – and the fucking – that guy – that’s not a guy, man-“, He’s interrupted by Jacoby asking, “Would you kindly smudge the damned circle so I can call the police on this wretch?”
Gwyndolyn aggressively pushes the thief away, letting go of his shirt. She motions for Constance to keep an eye on him. Instead, she walks over to the ritual circle, where she stands and stares at the old man inside. “Oh, please! It is just chalk.” She leans forward and taunts, her accent really showing in the last word. All the while, she tries to discern the origins of the circle and what its purpose might be.
The more Gwyndolyn stares, the more it makes zero fucking sense.
Gwyndolyn shoots a confused look to Constance, hoping still to draw some insight into the situation from the old man’s reaction.
Meanwhile, Constance Constance seems to just be smirking at Gwyndolyn, arms crossed, as if waiting to take Gwyndolyn’s lead on things. The guy subtly attempts to start crawling away out the rear exit, as Jacoby burns holes into him with eyes full of hatred. Metaphorically. He doesn’t have laser eyes. That you know of.
Gwyndolyn sighs, taking a step back. “What are the chances the old man is not some kind of demon? I don’t think normal people get trapped in ritual circles all the time…” She turns back to the room around them. Maybe there was something she missed? She still wasn’t sure what that red glare, earlier, was. Still, her eyes were well adjusted to the darkness of the room.
Constance shrugs. “Probably pretty high. What do you want to do about this?”, she wonders to Gwyndolyn. “I’m not invested in this anymore- I doubt if some random human could trap him that he’s high level, if he IS a demon.”

Luka does orange justice whilst he waits for the encounter to start
“That…. sounds kind of like you mean date them, Alphie. But I guess the former’s also sort of true.” Stacy says idly. Her eye flicks over the man’s shoulder for a moment, blinking and then wrinkling her nose ever so slightly. “Weird.” She murmurs to herself, then looks back toward the others.
There is a sudden tension in the air as the others feel something a bit off, if only for a moment.
Luka wonders in sleepily from the pillow pit. Dressed, but only just. He blinks slowly as he looks between Alphonse, then Lupita, then Jenny, then Stacy, the man blinking slowly to himself as he tries to wake up. “Huh? Something happened?” Luka asks Stacy, picking up that she’d picked up something but far too oblivious to have picked anything up himself.
Jenny perks up from her lounging on the sofa at the odd shift in the air, taking a look around the room. “Wha’ is weird?” She mumbles out
“Yeah, it is pretty odd. But like. If you wanna televise your dating life, I guess why not?” Alphonse shrugs, his eyes squinting slightly. He squeezes Lupita tighter at the tension, but doesn’t react further yet, just glancing around to see what might have thrown his instincts.
Lupita looks to Luka in response to the feeling, though she also squishes into Alphonse more.
“Yeah. I guess so.” Stacy admits idly, then leans against the back of the sofa, toying with her phone. “Could def be worse though, I guess. At least they make money off it, right?” She lets out a sigh and is about to say something but then the doorbell rings, echoing through the house.
Alphonse glances east towards the door as it starts to ring, his head tilting. “We aren’t expecting company. One of the guests from the past few days, maybe?” Alphonse seems inclined to go answer it, but is stopped by his be-lapped naked woman. “One of you mind seeing who it is?”
Lupita dressed, for once.
Luka nods his head twice, getting up to his feet to head on over to the front door “If it’s a man with a gun, I’m screaming. If I scream, come beat his ass” Luka tells the group with a lazy wave of the back of his hand as he sleepily trudges his way towards the front front door and opens it up “I better know you or you’re getting your ass beat”
Jenny whines not choosing to volunteer to go to the door, looking over to Luka “No idea who it is. But yeah, not gonna be serious dating. But should be fun..”
“I’d question who at this time of night but… we’re all up,” Lupita points out, smoothing out her skirt properly.
“Uh, S-.” Stacy begins, but Luka beats her to the punch, and climbs to his feet and makes the long trek to the mud room and to the door. Meanwhile, the brunette finagles with her phone again and lets out a sigh. “So who’s the bachelor or whatever for the show? Anyone hot enough to make it worth the public spectacle?” She asks idly.
“Might be Malin Havstrom?” Alphonse muses, eyes on Luka as the man walks off and opens up the door. “Thats who set up the event, at least. Don’t know their socials off the top of my head otherwise though.”
Jenny eyes the entryway as she replies “No idea, mystery bachelor. But pre-signed people get some sorta prize.”
Luka looks to see if there’s mist outside tonight …
“All I’ve seen is he’s bi, but… that’s… I dunno anyone in this town enough to know anything about anyone,” Lupita says softly to Stacy, shrugging. “People love a spectacle, though.”
Luka would not notice anything unusual about the early morning, but it is rather dark for Highgate.
“Malin Havstrom?” Stacy asks Alphonse, cocking her head to the side and then looking toward Jenny. “Oh… mysteries are fun, but what happens if it’s like, a fat old rich white guy with a small dick?”
Luka looks around, noticing the mist all around them before frowning. It’s very clearly strange for someone to be at their doorstep this late at night, and he knew there were people after him that wanted his head. He seems for a moment like he’s about to tell the girl to fuck off, a scowl coming over his face and his grip tightening on the door.
But, he doesn’t, me taking a step back “Come in.” Luka tells her, glancing around one more time to make sure no one else was about to jump out at him “Sit in the living room, tell us why you’re here” Luka instructs her, closing the door and walking behind her as she enters the room
“He might have a good personality.” Alphonse argues to Stacy, his mouth twitching in amusement. Lupita’s comment catches his attention, then. “Bi? Really? I guess thats a relatively common thing, in New Haven. Might change up the formula enough from my expectations to make things interesting.” Alphonse glances at Luka as he invites someone in, eyebrows raising.
Jenny shrugs over to Stacy “If it was the bachelorette i’d be more serious. But just doin’ it for the prize and fun.” she says chuckling over to Alphonse. She looks over to the door as Luka invites someone inside?
Lupita nods a little at Alphonse, saying, “You give me sass about always being on my phone, but…” trailing off as Luka comes back.
“Thanks!” The mysterious girl chirps lightly, stepping in around Luka. She looks Luka over once more before glancing down the hallway. “These halls are lovely, if a bit messy. I appreciate you letting me in like that on such short notice. I’ve got someone following me and I rather didn’t like the look of him.” She shares now that she’s inside. She shivers just a bit as she says it, then brings a hand up to her face and brushes her cheek lightly with it.
Fortunately for Luka, it doesn’t seem anyone was going to spring out from the darkness to attack the man, and he’s able to close the door with no trouble. The young woman gives him a small nod. “A gentleman would lead the way.” She tells him lightly.
Stacy offers a small shrug to Alphonse. “Sure, he could. But odds of all those things lining up are pretty small I think. But def whatever. And yeah… I think bi people are just more common these days anyway. My theory is people usually are, but like, repressed religions kept people from admitting it. Or like, we’re going the way of Rome.” She offers a shrug and lets out a light giggle at the thought before tucking her phone away.
“Lupita.” Alphonse teases, eyes sparkling in amusement. “That was NOT an appropriate time to be on your phone. I don’t mind if you’re glued to it otherwise, as long as you’re in my lap when you do it.” Alphonse snickers at Lupita. “A guest, huh… I wonder if she knows exactly what she’s walking into.” Assuming the lady does not have supernatural senses, the wolves on the couch will hear her long before she can pick up their idle chatting.
Jenny looks over to the door, keeping her eyes and nose pointed at the mystery guest. Staying silent and putting her phone down to try and figure out this visitor.
Luka nods his head slowly, looking at the back of the woman’s head warily as he leads her in. “Well … The locks are pretty good here, so he’ll struggle to get in.” Luka tells her before smirking as the four other Werewolves in the house all look over at her “Maybe I’m just not a gentleman, then” Luka tells the girl as he walks past her, splaying himself out onto the couch as he looks over to her. “You wanna give us your name?” Luka asks the girl gruffly, continuing to be very much not a gentleman as he interrogates the young lady stuck in a strange house with a bunch of strangers.
Stacy offers Alphonse a shrug. “Dunno, she sounds cute though.” She then leans back into the couch a bit more and crosses her legs, letting herself melt into the leather. “Fuck, why’s it so early and late all at the same time. I’m getting beat already.” She pauses a beat, then looks to Jenny and Lupita. “So, do either of you two play games?”
Jenny thinks it over sniffing the air before saying to Stacy “Sometimes. Shadows of Doubt is fun. But mostly just watching like… The Expanse and… reading.” she finishes off vaguely focusing more on the stranger now
The mystery woman simply follows along after Luka with dainty steps, the heels of her mary janes making a soft clack on the wooden floor. “That’s a relief. It would not be ideal if he were to get in. I mean… if he were following me.” She admits, her words slightly stilted as she says this. “Not much of a gentleman, you say as you do as one would.” She teases, then pausing at the entryway as she looks at the group draped across the couch with nary a care. “Rose. I’m Rose.” She tells Luka as she flicks a discerning gaze over the others. “It does seem that there is quite the assortment here tonight. You having some sort of dinner party?”
“Pleasure to meet you, Rose.” Alphonse answers Rose politely. “Not quite a dinner party, just family on the couch. I’ll let Luka have the pleasure of more.. robust introductions. Welcome to the mansion, I’m Alphonse Fairfang. The definitely not a gentleman there..” Alphonse upnods Luka. “Is my older brother, Luka. And of course, the loveliest lady around is my girlfriend Lupita.” Alphonse bumps his chin into the stop of the lap sitting girl’s curls.
Lupita blushes faintly at the introduction, bapping Alphonse in the chest with her hand, though it isn’t paired with any real complaint. “Not sure if you were being followed…?” she asks Rose, glancing past her, down the hall, then back to her.
Jenny stays silent for the moment, just watching from the couch.
Luka hits up the double peace signs as Alphonse introduces the both of them and Lupita. “Jenny” Luka nods to Jenny “And Stacy.” Luka gives Stacy a nod, completing the introductions. “She’s the one who’ll tear your head off if you do anything sneaky.” Luka tells her, flashing her a bright toothed smile that did not suit what he had just said in any way whatsoever. “Who are you running from, Rose?” Luka asks the girl in a chipper tone as if he hadn’t just threatened her.
“Yes. There was a man following me down the street and -… well I can’t be sure, but it certainly was an unpleasant experience.” Rose admits, shifting her gaze over her shoulder in what an astute observer might find a deliberate gesture. Now that the group has a clear view of Rose, they’d note she’s barely five feet tall, blonde, has light eyes and is wearing a ruffled white blouse, knee length black skirt with an accented bow, as well as leggings and a pair of mary janes. She’s rather light in complexion, but nothing too abnormal for what one might expect. She smells normal enough as well, considering she’s walked into a den of wolves. For all intents and purposes they can’t get any inkling of the supernatural off her.
Stacy looks up to Rose, offering a little waggle of fingers. “Okay, yeah she -is- pretty cute.” The brunette declares, then seems ready to offer her own name before Luka gets to it first. The added line from Luka has her offer Rose a small wink.
Rose then looks back to Luka and offers him a smile. “To be honest, I’m not quite sure who it is.”
“Well, Rose, it really doesn’t matter too much.” Alphonse has to say thoughtfully. “After all, you just so happened to knock on the door of the Howler’s mansion.” Alphonse gives the blonde a little smile. “Not much could walk into a den of werewolves and come out with all its pieces, night of the New Moon or no. If you find yourself with an invite from one of us to stay…” Alphonse begins, his tone of voice implying he’d be unlikely to offer that. “Then you’ll no doubt be safe as sound in the morning when you leave.”
There’s a confused looking blink from Luka as he listens to her story “So you’re not even sure you’re being followed, and you chose to knock on a stranger’s front door to ask for shelter?” Luka asks the woman, his tone holding a suspicion to it. “Do you have some kind of reason to suspect someone might be trying to follow you? That’s pretty jump behavior” Luka tells the girl before looking over to Alphonse and smirking “And yes. You chose a hell of a house to knock on.” Luka informs her
“Well… it’s hard to be sure of anything like that if your pursuer is good at it.” Rose tells Luka matter of factly, her gaze flicking back to Alphonse. “That could be a relief, supposing one of you would let me stay.” She admits, her tone almost matter of fact. She looks back to Luka and cocks her head slightly, giving just the slightest uptick of her jaw. “There are a lot of reasons I suspect, this town isn’t particularly welcoming for some.” She takes a few steps in as she looks around the place and grins. “Interesting choice of decor, I do rather like the seating arrangements and the pillows.” She makes her way onto the rug in the center, or at least, pausing right before it. “Should I have known I walked into a den like this?” She wonders, glancing back up to Lupita and Alphonse particularly.
Stacy sits up a bit straighter, watching the woman a little more warily now as she speaks, her nose twitching slightly. “Interesting choice of words.” She murmurs.
“The collection of Harley’s just outside a mansion might’ve been a clue you were walking into *some* kind of pit of toughs. Though, you might be forgiven for assuming Sons of Olympia, rather than the Howlers. We’re a relatively new addition to the town, by contrast. As much as anything can be in the City Between.” Alphonse chuckles a little at that. “I think you have more reason to suspect your pursuer than you wanna reveal to us, Rose. But I personally don’t really care if you bring trouble to our doorstep. I just want you to make it worth our while. Can’t be offering safe haven to just any stranger who walks in, hmmm?”
Lupita glances from the woman back to Alphonse, letting him speak for them both, her voice quiet as she says, “Strange.”
“Can’t suppose offering a date would suffice, considering your lovely lap partner.” Rose says coyly, then she brings a hand to her face as she brushes her thumb to her cheek for a moment. “Well, I do suspect that the rather uncouth brute that was following me had reason to follow me, that much is true. I think he rather didn’t like the situation he was in.” She then drops her gaze to Lupita and shrugs, “It is strange indeed.”
Luka didn’t take to Rose trying to change the topic too kindly, the man frowning before leaning forwards to rest his forearms onto his knees. “Rose. Why is someone following you?” Luka asks her directly. He’d been on edge ever since he answered the door and the woman dancing around what exactly it was that was going on here was starting to rub the man the wrong way. “Who are you?”
A snarl rips its way out of Alphonse‘ chest at the sound of the door splintering, lips curling up to show his teeth. He sets Lupita to the side and behind him, tearing off his comfy onesie to stand nude in just a moment as he turns to face whoever was dumb enough to break down just the wrong door tonight. “Sounds like your trouble is here, Rose.” Alphonse grumbles, arranging himself in front of the couch defensively. “Luka. Take it alive, or rip it to shreds?”
“I told you that already. I’m Rose. Rose Luthwen.” Rose tells Luka, looking straight at him now. “He’s likely chasing me because his friend was quite rude and I turned him down. I’m not the type just go with any man, you know.” There’s a certainty in the words she’s saying, the under the silken tone, they seem somehow rougher. She takes a step forward, and suddenly she’s next to Luka. She looks over to Alphonse and nods. “It’s a rather unfortunate evening I’d say.” She admits, as she then glances back to Luka, wondering how he’d likely respond.

Luka gets up to his feet as Alphonse alerts him of the door being broken down. “Stacy, watch Rose.” Luka tells Stacy as he starts to tug off his own clothes “Lupita, Jenny, back up Alphonse. Bring him in alive.” Luka tells the rest as he himself starts to shift also, the room filling with the brutal sound of snapping bones as the Howlers get ready for action!
“Uh, yeah. Sure.” Stacy says, having followed suit, standing and preparing to run into the hallway as well.
Jenny perks awake standing up and stripping off her clothes with oddly practiced ease and shifting
Lupita growled softly at the implication of a date with Alphonse(wolf) but the moment he tensed, she stopped. She easily falls in, following orders.
Once Alphonse(wolf)‘ family is fully furry, and Luka(wolf) has given the orders, the bundle of energy and tension is let loose. Sharp claws scrabble against the floor as Alphonse(wolf) accelerates into a blue-gray blur towards the inhuman monster that dares step foot in werewolf territory.
Luka(wolf) lets out a small yip of warning to Alphonse(wolf) as it charges forwards, seeming unsure about something, though it’s hard to tell without the capacity for speech. It’s warning Alphonse(wolf) to be careful whilst it dashes along behind Alphonse(wolf) as he takes point
Lupita(wolf) follows as closely behind her mate as she can, clearly the most comfortable able to ensure his safety for herself. She seems to have no issues keeping up, even smaller than the rest and with a slightly maimed paw.
Jenny(wolf) follows behind Alphonse(wolf) ears perked up as she keeps her attention on the door
Luka(wolf) looks confused as they find the door still very much in tact. It growls before turning around and immediately sprinting back to the living, snarling loudly as he it tries to find Stacy!
Jenny(wolf) sniffs the air looking around for the woman that was just here.
Alphonse(wolf) trusts Luka(wolf) will handle anything unexpected. He continues dashing forwards, flanked by Lupita(wolf) and Jenny(wolf) on either side. A sharp bark is given to Jenny(wolf), and Alphonse(wolf) begins trying to get at the creatures flank, aiming to nip at anything vulnerable on the lamprey that seems more jaw and bone than living thing, herding it if he can. He just needs one good shot.
Stacy is standing in the room, still dressed and looking very confused. She glances around once Luka(wolf) barrels back in, shaking her head. “Wha-…” She blinks in confusion.
Luka(wolf) looks around, checking Rose is still here …
It seems that Rose is nowhere to be seen, with Stacy seemingly in a daze. “Oh uh… what?” She murmurs to herself. The other two wolves might find the situation rather unusual as they see Alphonse(wolf) attempting to attack nothing but the air. Of course, just as he’s lept to snarl and landed on his feet prior to another attack, he seems to stop moving for a moment, with Rose standing next to him. She leans down and bites into the wolf flesh near his neck, her gaze not breaking from Jenny(wolf) or someone It’s a brief moment and she simply steps back behind his form before they have much time to react, pushing the door open and slipping out with preternatural speed.

Lupita(wolf) tries to stop Rose, though she doesn’t give chase much past the door if she can’t catch her.
Alphonse(wolf) turns in places, tearing into an entirely imaginary creature… from his perspective. In reality, Alphonse(wolf) sways woozily after Rose has taken her fill. The vampire, for that’s what she must have been, leaves Alphonse(wolf) dazed. He shakes his head rapidly, a small whine coming from him. The puncture wounds hidden by his fur slowly close before they have a chance to drip anything else.
Jenny(wolf) snarls and lets out a howl giving chase towards the vampire as she flees out the door.
Luka(wolf) is angry at watching Alphonse(wolf) get bit, probably
Luka(wolf) is in the room with Stacy just as Alphonse(wolf) is getting bit, though both someone and someone would be there. Jenny(wolf) would certainly be able to go out the door after Rose, who hasn’t made it particularly far onto the street at the moment.

Lupita(wolf) checks on her mate, tense, protective, and unwilling to stray too far from him without a direct order.
The thorough shaking of Alphonse(wolf) ‘s head eventually clears up Alphonse(wolf)‘ senses, paired with Lupita(wolf)’s protective vibe. He looks absurdly pissed, eyes widening and teeth fully on display. He nudges Lupita(wolf) with a bump of his shoulder, then takes off-scenting Jenny(wolf), who’s likely following Rose in much the same way. A vampire’s senses are sharp enough to craft convincing illusions of scents, but Wolves are resistant to magic, and only more so the more a type is used on them. It’ll be tight for the vampire to slip Jenny(wolf), unless Rose proves to have other tricks up her sleeve. Thankfully it is not misty outside, else tracking her would be a lost cause.
“Uh… where’s the girl?” Stacy asks, looking around, confused. “The fuck just-.” She sniffs the air for a moment and glances around, her eyes settling in on Luka(wolf)’s wolf form. Her jaw tightens as she prepares to run toward the door.
Luka(wolf) follows along with the rest of the group
Lupita(wolf) moves the second he does, following outside, doing her best to make up for the momentary distraction.
Jenny(wolf) blinks once, then twice. Eight seconds is four seconds here as resistant as a wolf can be, but a cloak is a cloak and she can’t see what happened to Rose during that lapse. Though now that the pack is in pursuit, the others are able to see her and she takes off down the road as fast as she can, though her mary janes don’t carry her nearly fast enough for the pursuit of angry wolves. Luka(wolf) is farther behind the others, and Jenny(wolf) is the first to catch up to rose, who turns in vain to swing a silver blade toward the beast.
Jenny(wolf) snarls at the sword, she tries to dodge it. But not sure how well she could when she is preparing to pounce ontop of the poor vampire.
A silver sword in the hands of a vampire strong enough to Blink through this city is likely viciously dangerous to Jenny(wolf). But their sacrifice is not in vain-the takedown is exactly what Alphonse(wolf) and Lupita(wolf) need to catch up. A primal light flashes in Alphonse(wolf)‘ eyes as he bites at the vampire, savagely aiming to tear at what he hopes is truly flesh this time, in an aim to get back a bit of what was stolen.
Luka(wolf) also attacks the vampire
Rose isn’t as fast as the wolf, and she’s brought down even as she drives the silver blade into Jenny(wolf)’s flank, the burning searing feeling flowing deep in her veins. The wound is shallow enough, but the lingering sensations provide more of a distraction than even the magic – but it’s not enough to save her from the bite. Distracted as she is, she’s not able to blink away once she’s hit the ground, forced to contend with the fight at disadvantage. Alphonse(wolf) is able to take the opening provided despite Jenny(wolf)’s injury as a result of the action, and rose is forced to defend herself further, teeth snapping at flesh and drawing blood from her normally resilient form. someone catches up shortly thereafter, teeth sinking into flesh as the group begins to try and rip her apart.
