(Eloa’s Saturday morning odd encounter(Eloa):Eloa)
[Sat Aug 2 2025]
At Plymouth and Washington/span>/spanmorning/span>/span55F(12C) degrees, and there are clear skies. The mist is heaviest At Foxglove and Oakwood/span>/span(Your target discovers a young werewolf who has just experienced their first transformation during the full moon. The confused and terrified teenager is hiding in an alley, covered in blood with no memory of what happened during the night. They’re being hunted by both the police and a pack enforcer who believes unsanctioned turnings must be eliminated to protect pack secrecy.)
“Most templars do that if they don’t die young” Avalon tells Lykaia with a nod of his head, commenting “Except for demolishers, those are the ones one should be worried about… Humans are fragile enough, they age and break, demolishers don’t tend to if they are strong enough”
Whilst our heros are sitting around chatting, the smell of blood reaches those with more acute noses. Or maybe just the vampire because they’re more hungry. The smell is dull as if the blood is old, but as the wind blows towards the group, it is definitely STRONG. There is alot of blood. From a nearby alleyway, there is a growling and a snarl before a grey wolf, clearly a werewolf given the much bigger size than normal stumbles out of the alleyway. It’s fur is matted with blood and it stares at the group of people standing there.. Before it turns into a rather naked young boy with a crop of blond hair. The boy looks remarkably like Avalon really, the two could totally be related in some world! But the boy’s bones start snapping, skin rolling until he’s there on the ground on all fours, covered in blood and …transformation goo. “Help me…” He croaks.
“Why are there so many werewolves in city?” Eloa wonders as the wolf comes out, putting her face in her hands, “There was werewolf that come into thrift store today. Good thing the security threatened arrest and it ran riiightt out.”
“Might be they count the Demolisher on it as well.” Lykaia says, making a slight nod to Avalon. “Will need to get my old equipment later.” She then does give the werewolf a look and reaches down to her holster, calmly, casually to withdraw the silver handgun, and then reaching up the silver baton as well.”
She lets out a little sigh into her gas mask “Yeah. Far too many werewolves. He’s probably not a Howler. Maybe he’s one because of them though.”
“The real keepers are the ones who give you the dirty gossip from inside the Temple and train you to use modern weaponry.” Roberta mentions to Avalon. “I learned a good deal about triage from a Templar in the war– I ate him after the fact and he was the pet of my ancestor who cursed me fo– Oh. That was in a NDA, too… Poo…”
“You heard none of that.” she tells someone, Avalon and Eloa.
As the wolf appears, Roberta -helps- It’s a blond werewolf and it’s asking for help. What else is there to do, really.
Roberta chambers a silver round and aims her pistol at the wolf. “Sure. I’ll help.” Vampire help, of course.
Avalon points a finger at the unshifted werewolf that seems to start decomposing, telling the others he’s gathered around with “Look, that can happen if you mess up shapeshifting badly enough… They tend to die once something like that happens- Don’t play with changing your body without knowing what you’re doing” He lectures, but doesn’t really seem all that worried about him, despite the resemblance, he even further adds “A lot of people change more magically, but with those primal, it’s not unusual to hear bones cracking when the shift happens”

“Today I’m observing a sit’ of, when a vampire turns werewolf hunter.” Lykaia says, deadpanning. “Maybe she’ll be paid for by toilet seat purchased someday, too.”
The boy is clearly not expecting all this help in the form of silver, he cowers on the ground as his back ripples, still with the wild primal magic of the werewolf that seems to be hard to leash for the especially willless boy given it’s no where close to full moon infact it’s probably a nice quarter moon. “Wait wait!” The man shouts, holding up a hand, “I claim venetian hospitality!! I was…. attacked when I just got to this city! And it’s your home!!” He cries out, sitting up in all that naked glory but happily a glob of goo slides down from his chest to his lap to hide the naughty bits.
“Oh boy. An amateur.” Lykaia says, her head motioning an eye roll that’s hidden behind sunglasses now. “Negative. This street isn’t my home. Name. Cause of transformation, and explanation to your blood. Now.”
“It’s just a dog.” Roberta shrugs. “It’s my civic duty to put strays down.”
It’s not. That’s for the civic authorities, but werewolf/vampire animosity is well known. Her finger tightens on the trigger.
“Hospitality only applies,” Roberta happily informs the man, “When the property belongs to me, if you’re in a faction I share, or if you’re part of an agreement that I’m made aware of via the societies. You’re just some pest.”
“Boy, that is something that needs to be offered, not claimed at will” Avalon replies dryly to the young man, watching as his figure keeps on breaking, glancing to a side to Lykaia as she speaks, and then to Roberta, before adding himself “But if you want to stop breaking apart, maybe try shifting again- See if that helps at all”
“Maybe try,” Roberta suggests -helpfully- after Avalon, “Shifting into not my problem.”
The man’s eyes desperately look over the four infront of him trying to notice symbols, “Um um… I’m in the court!! I’m uh… a fae that got bitten! Look!” With shaking hands he puts his hands into his mouth and… starts gagging himself. A bit of choking and gagging later, he throws up a ring clearly with the court symbol on it. He shows it to them, “Um…. Please help me!” He begs as he looks up at them and at Avalon’s words…. turns back into a wolf. The wolf whimpers, looking up at all cutely with ears downcast as it whines a little.
“I can call Temple to have this handled.” Lykaia says, giving the thing a stare. “It hasn’t answered my questions. And it’s evidently assaulted a Court member.”
“Now you naturalize him” Avalon tells someone on the side, pointing with a finger towards the wolf and commenting “If he’s somehow messing up the shifting process, maybe simply kicking him out will fix it” He says with a shrug of his shoulders, before adding “He’ll have the same issue next time he shifts… But hey, incentive to learn”

“It has very clearly assaulted a Court member.” Roberta agrees with Lykaia. Though it may just be that she wants to shoot the puppy.
Avalon’s suggestion is equally as good. Roberta produces, levels and fires the naturalizer pistol.
Lykaia does rise the silver handgun up and fires it off at the boy, forcing him to de-shift.
Roberta says, looking on as she slips her own naturalizer away, “Now we handle it.“
The poor wolf gets shot twice! It whimpers and whines as the fur from it’s body shrinks and it turns back into a naked man whose huddling down on the ground again. “Please!” Clearly not having the mental capacity to realize Lykaia’s question, he rubs his face. “There’s.. there’s another court member! I was with someone when I… .blacked out! Um… We were at a bar… Please….” If you kill me you’ll never find their body! The man doesn’t say but it hangs in the air as he shivers on the ground all naked like.
Lykaia lets out a long sigh and picks up her phone “Then you fucking answer my question. Name?” She demands now, talking into the society comms. “We got a dog claiming to be a court member. Looks freshly shifted. Trying to find out his name. If he doesn’t comply, I’ll call another party to handle him.”
“What bar?” Roberta demands, not lowering her pistol. “Directions, address or name.”
Once she has the information she’ll likely shoot the man anyway just to see what happens. That’s obvious enough.
Avalon glances at the wolf becoming human again, and points out to the others “Well, he doesn’t seem to be melting or breaking apart anymore, does he?” He asks rhetorically to the women gathered around, tilting his head towards the werewolf, adding “Well, now you owe me for the lack of melting… And these two can handle the rest…” How helpful of him
“He doesn’t.” Roberta responds easily to Avalon. “Maybe you should claim him as a vassal.”
“Thank you! Thank you!” The pathetic man tells Avalon from the ground holding both his hands in supplication. “Um.. My name is… Dobie uh… Monstrose.. ” The no longer breaking or melting man says as he looks up at them tearfully, “Please the the… police are after me I think… And and … some wolves too! The bastards from the pack who turned me said they need to get rid of me! You guys are court you have to save me! And uh … find Bob who I think I attacked..” He pats at his chest as if trying to find out if he has any clothing or anything left.
Yes Monstrose.
Avalon tells Roberta “Not interested… If he shifts again on his own he’ll likely melt again anyways… I’ll just take the name and collect the debt if I ever need to” He says with a shrug of his shoulders, before telling the werewolf “Now, I recommend listening to the ladies- I think they-” He pauses though as the man speaks, and he tilts his head to a side “Dobie Monstrose?”
“Clearly fake name. I’m out.” Roberta announces, aiming to shoot one of the man’s knee caps, then pulling the trigger.
“Dobie Montrose. Does that say anything? We have Dovie Fairchild.” Lykaia talks into her phone to the society comms. She sighs, and gives the briefest look to Roberta’s conclusion.
Bang. The man’s high pitch screams fill the alley and the street as Roberta takes out a kneecap. How cruel!
“You have one cap left, try again.” Roberta decides.
The society comms come back, “There is a Dobry Montrose reported missing as of 24 hours ago.”
“Affirm.” Lykaia says into her comms, but then lets out a long sigh. “Surrender yourself into my custody, dog. You will be investigated. If your words ring true, the Court shall handle it as her highness finds most eloquent. I am going to cuff you. I will beat you down and silver collar you if you resist. Do you understand?”
“Why are we even trying to ask normally? We have a vampire, do the eye thing on him, and if it fails, we just got our answers” Avalon tells Roberta on the side, sighing at the whole thing
Roberta hears the announcement, but she doesn’t let that show on her face. Instead, she waves the pistol’s muzzle teasingly across the man. “You’re too suspicious. I don’t like suspicious.” claims the suspicious vampire.
Never the less, Lykaia steps forward, and just like Avalon, she’s perfectly willing for someone else to handle it.
“Pleaseee!” The man sobs, now bleeding out on the street as well as he lies there flailing like a well.. naked almost middle aged man with a bit of a beer belly. His knee is a mass of gore with some white bone showing and the scent of blood is heavy in the air now. “Oh you’re going to help me? Please… please help me!” He begs the mericless Lykaia as she offers to take him in. “Oh god.. my knee… help….” There’s some more squirming and someone should probably put some pressure on the wound unless they want the man Roberta shot to bleed out.
At the back, Eloa looks like she isn’t sure if she should help or not, kindof peeking out from behind of Avalon like she doesn’t want to see knee bones on display.
“Cursed by a fae when you’re clearly a dog.” Roberta sniffs in contempt. “I don’t believe you even now.”
From far away the noise of sirens start to get closer. The man on the ground starts hyperventilating, “Please!! They will lock me away!! They don’t know how to use charon coins! You gotta hide me!”
“Bob. Remember political thuggery. This is in public. You can’t get away with killing someone.” Lykaia says, reminding Roberta. She sighs, again, and now gives a call to a private line to the PD instead. She is still sitting back against her bike, just with one hand holding the silver baton and her other having the naturalizer hang from her wrist with a band while holding a phone. “Heard you’re chasing a dog. We found him. He’s a person of my interest. Some dumb bitch shot his leg off. Need a medical. Moderate danger. Will accompany transit.”
“Well, if he’s an important Montrose, you two are probably in some sort of trouble… Some sort” Avalon tells dismissively to Lykaia and Roberta “If he’s lying, you two are probably in luck…” He doesn’t seem to care either way, at this point simply watching the scene unfold, he’s after all already got a debt out of this, but he does point out afterwards “But again, we don’t need to work on terms of believing… We can mind shamble people… Just compel honesty or obedience or something…”
“I can and will.” Roberta cheerfully informs someone, “Just by virtue of not binding that wound.”
Motioning to the man, she informs him. “Bullshit. Everyone in this city are aware. They all know how to use coins.”
“I can and will.” Roberta cheerfully informs Lykaia, “Just by virtue of not binding that wound.”
Motioning to the man, she informs him. “Bullshit. Everyone in this city are aware. They all know how to use coins.”
“Very well. New haven PD will take over. There is apparently a Montrose involved.” A voice over Lykaia’s phone speaks loud enough that everyone can hear like all modern phones these days.
“Touching is not the only thing that can get one in trouble… Specially with renowned families” Avalon simply replies to Lykaia, shrugging his shoulders “Take it from me, been working with one for decades…”
The sirens get louder as the man sobs on the ground and Eloa can’t help but go wrap a bandage around his knee, cringing a little as she gets blood all over herself. The court ring on the ground is heavy set, like a signet ring and would be gold underneath all the blood and goo.
“Apparently. Creature claims to be that one, but says dumb shit. It’s at one-three-six.” Lykaia continues to talk into her phone. And then there is the sirens, of course. “Will be on standby.”
“I don’t believe that he’s not wanted.” Roberta points out to Avalon and Lykaia and Eloa. “He’s suspicious and his story keeps changing.”
“Again. Force him to tell then” Avalon replies to Roberta with another shrug, before sighing and saying “In any case the Court is coming to handle it, so it doesn’t matter”
The poor man has been neutralized and kneecapped! New Haven PD is defintely not the court though! And that’s who Lykaia called! The man on the ground shrieks and sobs, snot running down his nose as he looks up pitifully at the other three. “Please guys… new haven PD have been wanting a monstrose in their cells for ages. Please you can’t let them take me.” He cries out and then holds up the signet ring. “Please!”
“It’s them or the temple.” Lykaia just decides to point out, giving the dog-man a stare. “You will find the PD far more accommodating. They’ll at least let you go. The other will chip you.”
“Just neutralize collar him and we can leave. I think you’re right about him killing the Montrose.” Roberta agrees with Lykaia. “He’s right. Leave it to the Court to sort out.”
“They likely do want a Monstrose in the cells.” she agrees. Producing rope from her bag– why does Roberta have so many torture tools– she hands it off to Lykaia, who is ironically stronger, then turns her back, ready to leave.
Having bandaged up the man, Eloa gets up, giving him a pitiful look and then kindof.. line of sights him with Avalon’s body. Thanks Avalon.
“Well then, let’s go.” Roberta suggests to Lykaia, Eloa and Avalon.
Lykaia says “I’ll be on standby to make sure it doesn’t escape, Bob. Don’t main or shoot people like this unless you want to take the political fallout for it. You can’t get away with it for only so long.“
Roberta quips, “It’s not people. It’s a dog.”
Roberta points to the wild dog, still waiting to leave.
The poor man gives puppy dog eyes towards Roberta as she talks about leaving him, “Please! Please… Uhhh if you give me to the police I won’t tell them where the body is!!! I’ll only tell court!! You have to.. have to help so I can take you to the body!” The man does look rather pathetic on the ground covered in blood and goo.
“You have the right to remain silent, dog.” Lykaia says, turning back to it. Now, she does straighten herself away from the bike, baton in hand. “Shut the fuck up dog.”
The red and blue sirens come closer and closer and soon haven PD shows up. A fat pudgey detective in suspenders pops out of the police car. “Righteo. Thank all ye nice citizens. The New Haven PD will take care of this now. ” The man plucks at his suspenders. “There is no award though. Um you guys helped society congratulations.”
Turning back around, Roberta points out to the man, “All of us have now asked you to tell us where this body is. You ignored it. All of us have asked for actual evidence. You’ve not provided it. You are invalidating yourself.”
The pistol is slipped away, and she notes to Lykaia, “Notice how I went for the knee. Something it can regenerate from. I’m not putting it down.”
“You will be putting in extra lessons later at the firing range.” Lykaia tells to the man who plucks his suspender and talks about award. “If you do not hit ten out of teen times with your firearm, I’ll be talking to your superior.” She was a firearms instructor at the local PD after all. “Anyway, it’s done with then.”
Roberta nods to the officer, turns on a heel and promptly… leaves.
The man is packed up into the police van and off they go!
