Amber suddenly freezes in place.
Ambrose peels from the multiple engagements to try the same, but it doesn’t look like he’ll get there in time to even try a swing or a shot, himself.
Navessa gives a little wavery smile back. “Sorry, first time.” She is peeking over the desk a little and wiggles her fingers as Stelle leaves the safety of the desk.
Stelle ducks back from a rattle of gunfire but then she’s on the door and Stelle is every door’s worst enemy.
Alice spits a word in French: ARRETE. She packs that word with magic, pointing at Amber as she does. “You’re not going anywhere.”
Alas, the second necromancer of the pair does not deign to still his own legs, and Ambrose starts to take off out of cover. The French have no sway over him.
