Laughing at that, Elaine settles in right beside Yukino, shifting her shamshir to observe its edge. “You are quite influential, Miss Yukino. It is an honor to serve a leader of two factions.”
“One finds she was leading the Temple for a while…” Yukino mentions, watching the lighthouse keeper finally defeat the legion soldiers. “When there wasn’t anyone nearby to assist it… One largely only happened to support some local societies a little bit once in a while…” She presses the button on her wrist, watching as the keeper begin their approach to them. “One finds it might be best to wait for a while now… and slaughter them as they draw near.”

Tossing out her knives as the specters approach, Elaine then draws her shamshir, white fire blazing up along its blade as she positions herself to intercept the ghosts before they reach Yukino. “I have been too lax of late…” She notes, flexing her wrist. “I need this.”

Leaping, and then continuing her speedy approach, Elaine makes contact, spinning around the ghost as her shamshir slides in under its arm, the strange, seaweed like tendrils that snare her seemingly not too much of a concern as she lifts the thing’s arm with her weapon, before slipping it away with a ring of metal on ghostly metal.

Elaine says “It is a relief. I have fought none but the Legion of late. Two Lieutenants have I sent back with the help of the enforcers Miss Campbell placed me in command of. I have to clean their demonic blood much more. This? This is almost pleasant.“

Elaine says “Perhaps. In large numbers, and as I am now, they are terrible opponents. But… they do not seem to do much aside from dominate the popular votes.“
