(Nemi’s Workshop Club First Meeting)
[Mon Jun 30 2025]
A Vast Gothic Academy Cafeteria/span>/spanThe cafeteria occupies a vast rectangular space with high ceilings supported
by thick wooden beams that have darkened with age. Long tables of scarred oak
fill the center of the room, their matching benches polished smooth by
countless students over the decades. The serving area runs along the northern
wall behind a counter of stainless steel that reflects the harsh fluorescent
lighting overhead, though several fixtures remain dark or flicker
sporadically. Tall Gothic windows line the western wall, their leaded glass
panes casting fractured patterns of light across the linoleum floor during
daylight hours. The walls display faded murals depicting scholarly pursuits,
though closer inspection reveals strange symbols and figures worked into the
backgrounds that seem to shift in peripheral vision. A persistent draft moves
through the space regardless of season, carrying the mingled scents of
institutional food, cleaning solution, and something faintly metallic. The
eastern wall opens directly into Melville Hall through a wide archway,
allowing the sounds of footsteps and voices to echo between the two spaces.
In the corners where shadows gather, the temperature drops noticeably, and
the ancient radiators tick and groan even when the heat is off./span>/spanIt is about 70F(21C) degrees. The mist is heaviest At King and Woodcrest/span>/span“Hello, Miss Callum. Careful that you don’t overheat in that hoodie,” Mirabel tells Sophie and brings her attention back to Matthew. “Well, that sounds perfectly reasonable, just so long as you don’t give the world the impression that we’re cluttered!”
Sophie flits her eyes to Buck, “Really? That’s rather exciting.” She looks at Mirabel and then down to her hoodie, “Oh!” Without another word she takes it off.
“Wait for it, she’ll ask you to put it back on,” Kai tells Sophie when she reveals the zipper-fronted tube top beneath, he holds out his hand, four fingers extended and starts to close them back into a fist, pinky first in a silent countdown.
Buck gives a nod to Sophie, “Well, there was a need, I had some free time, and Miss Kane imparted on me the importance of passing on knowledge to the next generation.”
Matthew laughs easily, shaking his head to reassure Mirabel, “Oh, no, definitely not the goal. Clutter is what the kids these days are using to say something’s in fashion. Used to be drop, now it’s clutter.” He looks about as lost as the explanation maybe lands, “Some Gen Alpha working upwards into Gen Z or whatever.”
“Goodness. Well, it *is* summer,” Mirabel supposes after looking Sophie over. “Just try not to jump around too much, sweetie.”
Nemi clears her throat as she stands behind a podium quickly setup next to the display tables. “Please gather around the food, display area, socialize, or setup you’re own crafts for others to view. Sadly I was unable to source a large amount of paper for people to gather and use to act as display cards!” She states and nods.
Matthew says, scratching his head, “Was it drop or drip… “
Matthew looks to the younger people in the room for clarification.
Sophie turns a soft shade of pink and nods at Mirabel, “Got it, no jumping jacks.” She focuses on Nemi and listens.
“Is it? Huh. I haven’t got the faintest chance to keep up with the vernacular these days,” Mirabel sighs and shrugs helplessly at Matthew. Next she turns back to Nemi and says, “I’ve got some paper if you need it, Miss Ivorstead.”
“Unbelievable,” Kai tells Sophie when Mirabel doesn’t chastise her, he gives a glance to Buck and dips his head to the man in a knowing nod, then glances to Sophie, “I’ll bring a trampoline for you to bounce on next time. Also one in our room,” he informs her with a little waggle of his brows.
Sophie leans over and kisses Kai’s cheek, “You are the trampoline in our room.”
Nemi nods again. “Otherwise At Two thirty We’ll be discussing the future meeting structure of the club as a group to take creative inputs and further build this club in a way that may comfortably work for most if not all future attendee’s!”
“Remember the rules, you two,” Mirabel interjects.
Kai almost chokes on his taco-bite and sucks in a bit of air through his nostrils as he takes a seat by Sophie, “Truuuue,” he says and finishes his other taco.
Nemi turns to Mirabel as she smiles and nods. “If you have a nice stack please set it on the display tables! I’m sure others have writing utensils to write on the paper to note aspects of their craft if not just the theming Like I did.”
Buck glances at his phone and then furrows his brow, moving over to pick up a slice of pizza before wandering back near Mirabel.
Nemi clears her throat. “A nice stack of paper that is.”
“Sure thing, dear. I can get some more as well,” Mirabel says and opens her handbag. “Jenny is on her way. She overslept.”
“Anyway, part of this will involve some photos and interviewing students about their dorm room choices and decor,” Matthew continues to explain to Mirabel, “but my producers aren’t exactly sold that WIndemere will have this.” His producers not him, Matthew looks like he can’t believe that would be the conclusion drawn by anyone, or so his expression would have you believe. “So I need to just get a few quick photos of the dorm rooms, cherry pick the best ones and then reach out to those students!”
Sophie winks at Kai and then nods to Mirabel, “Apologies.”
“Their dorm rooms?” Mirabel asks and peers curiously at Matthew. Her face scrunches up in consideration, and she glances sideways at Buck before adding, “That’s a peculiar request, but perhaps young Mister Ashford and Miss Callow here will agree to show you theirs.”
Mirabel says “Er, Callum.“
Nemi smiles softly, watching the current gathering take place as she hums and nods softly
Sophie refocuses, “Mine? It’s rather..boring and not decorated.”
Kai nods in agreement, “The only thing notable about mine is my name on the door,” hegrins a bit, leaning on Sophie a bit.
“Miss Kane, I believe is may be easier if they self select and you gave out your number, Mr. Montrose. Then they could send you all of the photos of the dorms you want and it would be much easier to collect the best fits.” Buck mentions.
Matthew doesn’t seem to take issue with the suggestion, looking between the students like they may be his saving grace. “No?” He sounds disappointed but accepts it without much argument. Kai’s answer earns more of a frown, “Actually Kai, I would like to see your room.” Matthew looks to Buck, looking vaguely confused by his input.
“Fifty bucks,” Kai decides almost immediately, lifting his brows at Matthew with a little shit-eating grin on his face, he glances to Jenny and gives her a wave, “Hey Jenny, come sit with us,” he indicates the table.
Nemi smiles softly, giving a wave to Jenny as she watches over everyone in attendance, a soft and happy smile on her face as she chuckles softly.
Speaking up to Kai, Buck says, “I’m certain that Mr. Montrose is planning on paying you in ‘exposure.'”
Sophie glances at Buck, “Isn’t it up to him to say what’s easier?”
Jenny steps inside sniffing the area “Ah.. just follow the smell of people.” she says. Her clothes are -fucked- up. Torn and covered in ginger fur. And she grimaces with each movement she makes. Moving over to find a seat at the table as far away from Matthew as she can
“Long day?” Kai asks Jenny sympathetically and indicates his own bloody clothes with a little grin as he takes in hers, he looks to Nemi and Buck, shrugging a bit at the latter as he wraps an arm around Sophie’s waist.
“Well, so long as you don’t go around breaking into their dorm rooms, or coercing them into unlocking their doors if they’d rather not,” Mirabel ventures and takes a sip of her beverage, “I suppose there’s no great harm in getting some pictures. I just don’t want you to go about it the way Miss Havstrom and her grumpy friend did.”
“Kai,” Matthew says, features easing into a wider smile, “I believe we can make something work out,” he reasons, hardly noticing Jenny or the wide berth she is affording him. Probably for the best.
“Miss Amber Blake.” Buck offers to Mirabel as he finds a beverage of his own, picking up a soda to sip.
“Right. Her,” Mirabel remarks and nods to Buck.
Matthew then looks to Mirabel, “IT seems your class is will be underway soon, Miss Kane, I’ll…” he starts to backtrack towards the door, “return. Thank you so much for your time.”
Kai nods to Matthew, “A hundred,” he decides after Matthew smiles wider, his eyes narrowed a bit to see just how much he can negotiate.
Sophie gives Jenny a warm wave and a smile, “Heey.”
“Oh, it isn’t my class,” Mirabel mentions calmly to Matthew. “It’s Nemi’s workshop club. I’m just here to make sure they get off to a good start.”
Kai leans away from Sophie and turns to hold his phone up and snap her picture, he nods a couple of times as he looks down to the phone’s screen.
Matthew only smiles sweeter, “We’ll discuss the details with Coretech and the VP,” he says easily, “She’ll–” Mirabel’s clarification earns a nod, but the Montrose doesn’t care about the details. “She’ll want to participate in these negotiations.” No deal struck, he lifts a hand and waves.
Kai waves back at someone, “Sounds good to me! Two hundred!” he calls after the man.
“Mhm. Sure thing,” Mirabel says and gives Matthew a mild nod. “Have a nice day, Mister Montrose. Don’t get lost!”
Kai waves back at Matthew, “Sounds good to me! Two hundred!” he calls after the man.
Nemi nods softly to someone. “While Allowed by the school non of the college staff is in charge of the clubs affairs.” she states with a smile and another nod and then raises an eyebrow as she walks over to Mirabel.
Nemi sighs softly, walking over to Mirabel. “What was that about?” She wonders with some curiosity.
“That was a little odd, wasn’t it?” Mirabel remarks quietly to Buck and looks over at Nemi. “Well, Miss Ivorstead! Let’s hear what your plan is.”
“I just made two hundred bucks so this guy can take a picture of my smelly unmade bed,” Kai informs Sophie, as if the deal was done, he looks Nemi’s way and grins at her a bit.
Jenny smiles back to someone nodding to Kai “The mist is some -bullshit-.” she says crossing her arms “Had like a group of five roll up on me and manage to somehow catch up to me when I was almost out of it.” she looks as the man leaves “Good fucking riddance.”
Jenny smiles back to Sophie nodding to Kai “The mist is some -bullshit-.” she says crossing her arms “Had like a group of five roll up on me and manage to somehow catch up to me when I was almost out of it.” she looks as the man leaves “Good fucking riddance.”
Nemi nods softly in agreement as she heads over to the Podium once more.
“Young lady!” Mirabel yells across the cafeteria.
“This town is full of odd. It pays to just roll with it and observe if it’s a habit or if it’s out of the ordinary for the person’s behavior.” Buck mentions back to Mirabel.
“Jenny, language.” Buck murmurs quietly.
“Ma’am Miss Trails is just engaging her first amendmend protected rights!” Kai huffs back at Mirabel, “It’s fucking patriotic!”
“I’ll shoot you with a blunderbuss if you get any more patriotic, you two!” Mirabel warns Kai and Sophie. “Be quiet while Miss Ivorstead speaks.”
Jenny sighs closing her eyes for a few moments “Sorry. Matthew has been a donkey and I have just barely gotten some good sleep after being tied up in an alleyway for like four hours with nothing but a sand statue for conversation.” she looks over to Nemi giving Nemi her full attention finally
Sophie blinks and quietly squeaks, “I didn’t say anything..”
“A what?” Kai asks, his brows furrowed in confusion, “Is that some kind of arrow shooter from when you were young?” he asks Mirabel innocently.
Mirabel shushes Kai huffily.
Slipping his notebook in his pocket, Buck reaches up and rubs his forehead with his hand, taking in a deep breath through his nose as he shakes his head, “That’s called a Ballista, Kai.”
Kai looks to Sophie with a mournful shake of his head, “You’re catching strays, that’s not fair,” he gently rubs her back, “We should probably go home so you can recover,” he tells her, a little gleam in his eye.
Nemi claps softly at Kai. “Language.” She states firmly. “So! To start off with, thank you all for attending thus far. It’s a pleasure to see you here with some interest. And no kai. If you got shot with a blunderbuss it’d be far more lethal than a 5.56 bullet to the chest.” She states. “That, Is a threat.” She states with a nod. “Now, For the very first matter of the club, the structure of our meetings is currently up for minor debate and adjustment. Given this was an out of pocket meeting I hope to secure some sort of wealthy sponsor soon for further investment.” She states with a smile. “We’ll have three to four meetings per month. In a structure of Planning. Producing And teaching. And Final Touches and Display.”
“You’re not going anywhere,” Mirabel/span>/spanNemi clears her throat again. “Ah- I’ll wait a moment and recap that last part for him once he arrives.”
Kai sits up straighter, as if he realizes he’s been caught in a trap, “Oh no…” he looks to the food, then back to Nemi, “You didn’t bring us here to hang out… you brought us here to work!” he ejaculates at this revelation.
“You’ve organized it splendidly already, dear. I hope there’s an interesting final result. Maybe we can mount it near the fountain,” Mirabel ventures and smiles blithely at Nemi. “I don’t know how long Mister Harrington will be, but you may also have to explain all of that again at the next meeting, in case more newcomers happen to join. In my experience, a group never stays the same size for long.”
“Nobody knows where our storied cafeteria is,” Mirabel mutters to Buck.
Sophie leans on Kai and rubs his leg, “You get to be creative and have snacks.” She smiles at Nemi, “Sounds wonderful.”
“Should I walk around and start posting signage, Miss Kane?” Buck asks as he tips his hat back, looking around.
Jenny looks over to the boxes of food. Her stomach grumbling “Had me at food…” she says eyeing the boxes hungrily
“They should learn how to find things without simply following a sign. It builds character,” Mirabel opines.
Kai looks down at Sophie and her hand on his thigh, “They got to you too… and you’re here for the final nail. Trapping me with your sex!” he peers at Sophie, “Everyone here… is part of the trap!” he looks to Elliot, “Run! They want us to work!”
“From my observations there certainly are a bunch of characters already in here.” Buck muses back to Mirabel.
“Each and every one of them is a character,” Mirabel agrees and nods grimly to Buck. “Welcome, Mister Harrington. Go ahead and sit over there with your friends.”
Buck motions to Kai with his pizza slice, “Kai, don’t be crude.”
“I’ve been working the entire time, on my manor,” Elliot annoyedly tells Kai with a wrinkle of his nose. “Hard work may do you good.”
Jenny nods to Mirabel “Yeah.. I just followed the smells. Not that hard.” she says as she gives a wave to Elliot. She looks pretty fucked up. The only non-torn piece of clothing on her is her shorts.
Sophie asks Nemi, “I’m a little hazy on the details, but can you elaborate on the first steps? I like goals and I want to set some.” She gives Kai a soft nudge.
Nemi nods softly, turning to Kai and Sophie. “Surely, one Moment dear.” She states to him clearly and sighs softly. “Right- That’s only three meetings though. The fourth Will however be our break and hangout period- Or possibly, a guest speaker who can teach us about their specific area of expertise in a workshop, whether it be forging, leather working, wood working, full smithing, alloy mixing. Such will vary. All good skills that can be combined together that eventually I’m sure I can get guest speakers to cover.” She states and shakes her head at Kai.
“So, the first meeting following this one we shall gather and plan a project together. Each member that shows will be assigned a piece of that project to complete and finish by time of the third meeting of the month.” She states with a firm nod. “The second meeting of the month will be us hanging out in the work shop helping each other work on our parts of the project, consulting the other members and using our combined knowledge to get said project done.”
Jenny frowns looking down “I had to shift suddenly before I could get on my bike as five deep mist monsters started showing up. I guess its fortunate my shorts didn’t get torn.” she stops speaking as Nemi starts back up, looking up to the podium
“These young lycanthropes always struggle with the adjustment. It takes time to get used to that sort of life,” Mirabel mentions quietly to Buck. “It’ll do them all a world of good to have something practical to fiddle with.”
Nemi clears her throat. “The Third and final meeting of the club for that project will be us combining our respective produced parts to accomplish our final piece. Now- I know some of us have never set foot in a workshop- or forge maybe ever in their life. So I don’t expect any perfectly made pieces or anything. The point is to work on this stuff together to share our knowledge in what we do know, with others, and learn together over all.” She states again to everyone present. “As such the second and third meetings of the month will most definitely take place in the workshop in the basement in the north west building of campus.”
“Don’t I know. I’ve got a bunch of cousins that went through the process. We’ve got plenty of resources in my family for working through the transition and how to deal with the monthly cycles.” Buck replies to Mirabel as he finishes his pizza slice and washes it down with soda.
Kai exhales a sigh as Elliot turns on him too, he relents and leans up against Sophie, listening to Nemi more intently, though he does turn his head to murmur something to Sophie softly.
“How exciting,” Mirabel remarks and gives Nemi an enthusiastic grin. “If I may make a suggestion, I think it’ll be easiest not to complicate it too much. They’ll probably be fine to just show up and hear what you want them to do at each meeting.”
“I see,” Elliot remarks of Jenny, knitting his eyebrows in concern as he surveys the woman again. “Normally, I suggest avoiding the deep mist, however, sometimes it’s not exactly avoidable. Next time you’re particularly stuck, contact myself and I’ll see if I can round up some of my colleagues to assist you out.” Attention drifts over towards Nemi, who presents, and a gradual sigh drifts past his lips as he hears of projects. “I… am quite perturbed with the expectations here. I do like work, but, I’m not an engineer of any sort. I can do plenty of things, write poetry, play politics, but… beyond ordering my contractors to commit to my planning, the physical aspect is rather out of my league, for capabilities. I do know someone who may help, but, I doubt she would have the time or the desire to do so.”
Sophie turns a marvelous shade of pink and eats her pizza.
“If people were always afraid to do something they weren’t already good at, nobody would know how to do anything,” Mirabel remarks to Elliot.
“You could just bargain with a demon for some basic talent,” Kai tells Elliot with a little roll of his eyes, “Even you could learn how to fingerpaint something nice, or something,” he grins a bit at Sophie when he makes her turn pink and leans in to kiss her on the cheek fondly.
“Have you ever heard of Ikigai, Professor Kane?” Elliot asks of Mirabel, lifting an eyebrow.
“The famous Japanese ramen maker,” Kai nods to Sophie wisely when Elliot brings up ikigai.
“No. I don’t much hold with foreign food,” Mirabel tells Elliot plainly.
“The term hasn’t crossed my desk, so I assume it doesn’t pertain to Oni or other eastern supernatural concepts.” Buck notes as he raises an eyebrow to Elliot.
Nemi nods softly to Mirabel and Elliot. “Such is reasonable professor. And elliot that’s also a fair point. As said some of you may have no skills related to this. But if all of the aspiring members feel as if they’d rather have meetings more focused on teaching the basics of the workshop- Which by all means is not that heavy and exhausting work- and by no aspect compares to construction at all in terms of labor, we can and shall spend the first meetings teaching safety regulations, guidelines, and how to work with the machines and objects available in the workshop.” She states with a smile. “This is why we are having this meeting, an open discussion on what we could and should do first with the club and address the concerns of people who do wish to participate.”
Kai stands up and raises a fist in the air, “The first thing is we organize a mass walk out to have the wards on sex removed from the dorms! We’re adults. We fight mist monsters, we wield powers beyond normal human comprehension. I want to be able to get a blowjob under the bleachers in the gym like my forefathers,” he brings his fist down in a light smack on the table, “Thank you,” and he sits down.
“It is a philosophy regarding purpose,” Elliot bluntly tells Mirabel, slanting his eyes. “I’m not talking about ramen. Do I seem like someone who wasted his time talking about ramen?”
Nemi nods softly after a moment. “My end goal by five months maybe is to at least give most if not all members a sense of confidence and knowing of what they are able to do with these machines, and give them the sense of being able to trust, and be proud of what they can produc-” She stops, looking into her bag for something after Kai speaks.
Nemi says “I forgot my cast Iron frying pan, A shame knocking kai out would have spared us.“
“Maybe Miss Ivorstead will agree to show you how to make an artful protest sign in wrought iron,” Mirabel informs Kai and adjusts her glasses. “Like those banal ‘love, love, laugh’ ones people put in their houses.”
Jenny gives a nod to Nemi “Sounds good by me.” looking aside to Elliot as she gnabs one of the pizzas, quickly getting to work on it. Reavenously even but as quiet as she can be “I mean. Ramen is pretty good.”
Kai folds his hands together as he looks from Nemi to Mirabel to Sophie, he sighs and slouches forward against the table, resting his cheek in his hand, “Ramen is great,” he mutters to Jenny sulkily.
Nemi nods softly. “That could be covered in a woodworking Or metalworking portion indeed. As well as a portion that shows how to make long term weather resistant signs like stop signs and road signs.” She states.
Elliot says “May I not grow enraged.“
Nemi nods again. “And hey, cheers up Kai! You might learn to make an array of swords for yourself you can hunt with that fit your style of fighting. Or whatever weapon you use to hunt with or other day to day objects.” She states again with a nod. “Any other SERIOUS concerns. Unlike immediately making protest signs.”
Sophie tilts her head, “Under the bleachers…” She shakes her head and asks Nemi, “Machines?”
“You’ll do no such thing,” Mirabel tells Elliot primly and takes a sip of her soda. “In any case, all I expect from you eager youngsters is that you apply yourselves and make something that we can put on display without embarrassing the Board of Trustees.”
Nemi turns to Sophie and nods. “While in the past days we used hammers and other tools we have machines for many different processes, some that cut metal, some to engrave metal automatically, three-d printers, Tables saws for wood working… such and so.” She states with a nod.
“And this pizza is coming to each of these meetings?” Buck asks as he gets another slice.
“You understood me?” Elliot asks of Mirabel, with a skeptical squint, eyebrows knitting together. “Surely you haven’t. You don’t even look like one of the Abenaki…”
Nemi nods softly to Buck. “Pizza OR Tacos. Not both as this broke about five hundred from my personal funds.”
Kai crosses his arms on the table and drops his face against them while the others talk after Sophie shakes her head at his idea of what to do under the bleachers.
“No, but I’ve walked these halls long enough to understand what you youngsters mean by the sheer tone of your voice,” Mirabel assures Elliot.
“If you get some sponsorships from businesses in town, I’m sure they’ll cut you a few deals. Sofia might even throw in some special new recipes as a test kitchen to see what sticks.” Buck adds.
“Consider my admiration earned, Miss Kane,” Elliot mutters at Mirabel, hawkishly squinting those almond shaped eyes of his. “Not everyone can glean much from the plethora of indigenous tongues. Luckily, I don’t speak a dead one.”
Jenny takes a bite of the pizza and she freezes, pulling back and staring at the thing before she starts to vibrate, wiggling in her seat as she chomps away
Sophie giggles at Jenny, “It is good. I’m spoiled to work there.” She gives Kai’s thigh a squeeze before nibbling on her food.
“That’s enough of that. We can talk later,” Mirabel calmly informs Elliot. “I’ll entrust Miss Ivorstead with the title of Workshop Deputy. You’re to listen to her when you’re all in there. I don’t want to have to come in and pick up severed limbs.”
“I’ll just regrow ’em.” Jenny says easily enough nodding to Sophie
“Very well,” Elliot expresses to Mirabel, his squint not straying away from her for a moment, until Nemi once more, earns his attention. “What exactly are you intending for a large project?”
“Oh! I haven’t had these in ages,” Mirabel remarks and helps herself to something from the table.
“If you do end up maiming yourself on the equipment, make sure you use the buddy system to drive you to the hospital or you’ll bleed all over the car’s interior.” Buck notes.
Nemi nods softly to Buck as she smiles brightly. “Good to know, I’ll contact you about such later or earlier on next week.” She states with a smile. “Otherwise I’ll do my best to contact around the immediate town to see if anyones familiar with any immediate practices to maybe step in as a speaker for our first month of the club.” She states with a smile. “And yes, workshop safety is very important. As even though it is not heavy labor you can easily, crush, cut, severe, pulverize, or burn any of your limbs or accessories if you do not follow safety guidelines and goof around. My father lost his big toe and second… biggest toe I can’t remember that toes name- From that as a kid.” She states with a nod.
Kai peers over at Elliot and sits up, “Tell me what language that was will you?” he asks.
“Abenaki. A tongue you’re not likely to learn,” Elliot tells Kai with a tilt of his head. “It’s a tribe. I’m surprised you didn’t already assume that the tribe that I have blood from, had its own lamguage.”
Mirabel chortles lightheartedly at the fate of Nemi’s father.
Nemi nods softly. “And I’m sure-” She turns to Kai for this. “You don’t want to lose any reproductive parts because you decided it’d be funny to stick a piece of metal against a wood working table saws blade.” She looks over at him for a moment to really nail in the fact he’ll need to not mess around in class before she nods. “I think that concludes our first meeting? The next I’ll schedule as soon as I can finish planning and acquire a proper date for it and time that won’t interfere with classes.” She states with a nod before stepping down.
“Well done, young lady,” Mirabel tells Nemi and gives her an approving smile. “I look forward to seeing what you young miscreants come up with.”
“Young academics.” Buck offers after Mirabel as he motions to the tables where they are working.
“Well, I don’t want them to think they can only be one thing,” Mirabel calmly answers Buck.
“Yeah, dream big, guys.” Buck says as he makes some vague motion like a rainbow, “Nothing can stop you but violent death from Mist Monsters.”
Kai rolls his eyes a bit at Nemi, “Even if that happened, I could probably grow it back,” he leans on the table and looks to Elliot, “Why would I know that? I’m not your biographer…” he blinks at the man with a grin and shakes his head, turning his gaze back to Nemi, though he slips one hand under the table to give Sophie’s knee a little squeeze.
Nemi nods softly and chuckles to Nemi. “Yes but the process is very painful and not in the way that you like as it’ll come from yourself.” She states witha smile.
Nemi nods softly and chuckles to Kai. “Yes but the process is very painful and not in the way that you like as it’ll come from yourself.” She states with a smile (fix).
Nemi says “Overall You’ll find making something yourself you know you can trust to work consistently in a fight is a lot more satisfying than anything.“
Sophie glances around at the group before commenting to no-one, “Why am I not surprised that regrowing things is real.”
Nemi says “Or just over time.“
“I think we can be confident that they won’t cut each other in half,” Mirabel decides, turning to Buck again. “For now, I think I need to sit down and rest my mind a little.”
Nemi shrugs softly to Sophie. “You get used to it… might stop getting surprised over time.” She states with a solemn nod.
“I’ve mentioned it, like twenty times by now to various people,” Elliot tells Kai, shrugging. “I figured you were around one of those times.”
Sophie gives Nemi a little shrug and a grin, “Maybe. Or maybe I’ll perpetually be in awe.”
Nemi nods softly to Sophie. “Better than being scared and confused to just be amazed and in a state of child like amazement, amusement, and wonder.”
Kai peers over to Jenny, “You’re new to the supernatural too, or just being a wolf? Sophie here only learned like… two weeks ago, ish. So you two should make close friends.”
“I would be careful of going to anyone who might grow back you arm,” Elliot tells Sophie with a wrinkle, a wriggle of his nose, lips squirming. “They might turn you into a newt.”
Speaking up, Buck mentions, “You don’t have to be scared, confused, amazed or in wonder if you’re prepared for some of the more dangerous parts of the supernatural you may run across. Perhaps you should be on the lookout for a class on such things.”
Sophie gives Elliot a blank stare, “I ..that’s cruel.” She adds with a little grin, “I’d never be right then.”
“Yeah.. I was just about to film in one of the forest areas near New Haven. And fullmoon came and werewolf tore through my camper to maul me. Didn’t know about the supernatural stuff being real until after.” Jenny says over to Kai after snapping out of a daze
“You’d always be left, though,” Elliot smoothly assures Sophie with a snort and a chuckle.
Nemi nods softly to Jenny. “Thats…. really not a lucky way to learn about this stuff honestly.” She states in agreement.
Kai nods to Jenny in understanding, “Hmm…” but he shakes his head at Sophie’s word play, “Okay, we’re over,” he says and leans away from her, turning to look at Jenny, “How do you feel about dating someone with autism?” he asks with a waggle of his brows and a little grin.
Sophie giggles quietly Kai before saying to Elliot, “Case in point.”
Jenny chuckles raising to Kai “I mean, I am self-diagnosed myself. So… wouldn’t really mind.” she then nods to Nemi “I thought the doctor was just being an wiseass after commenting on the werewolf stuff. Like haha, no it was a bear can I get out of this hospital already?”
Kai scoots his chair a little closer to Jenny, “Really?” he asks and glances back at Sophie, grinning, and gives up on the bit to scoot back to Sophie, leaning up against her side.
Nemi smiles and nods softly. “thank you all for coming though, honestly. I can’t wait to see you at the next meeting when I can find a time that it’ll work out for everyone.” She states with a smile.
“I think you did a great job, dear,” Mirabel tells Nemi and takes a look around the cafeteria. “Feel free to keep those papers, in case you need them in the future. You should put the leftovers in a refrigerator so you insatiable youngsters have something to snack on.”
“You’re still growing, and that eats up a lot of calories.” Buck says, adding on with Mirabel.
“I’m trying to stop growing,” Mirabel remarks quietly to Buck.
“I’m good…” Elliot mutters, scanning the table at all the refreshments in place. With a squint, he shakes his head and mumbles, “I need to work on the kitchen today anyways. And the bar lounge. And… the ballroom.”
“All your extra weight goes to good places, Miss Kane, I wouldn’t worry about it,” Kai waves his hand airily to Mirabel.
“Ballroom?” Sophie asks Elliot, “Like for a..fluffy gowned event?”
Glancing over at Mirabel, Buck says, “In a rare moment, I do agree with Mr. Ashford. Your form fits you well, and this sundress looks very nice on you, Miss Kane.”
Nemi nods softly, humming a bit. “I’m still debating on what I want to… do with myself- Do I want to learn magic? Heavily lean into a specific art of fighting? If I do learn magic it could help me with psychology depending on what I learn.” She states and nods softly.
Jenny says over to Nemi “Can learn how to shift. Would be a terror up close.”
“Currently, the room has nothing in it,” Elliot informs Sophie with a vague gesture of his hand. “I haven’t had the time to venture over to that section of the manor. I still have another two pools to dig. And rooms to finish. Including my own.”
“Magic,” Kai nods to Nemi, “You send the dumb dumbs ahead with their swords,” he explains with a little grin.
Mirabel makes a noncommittal sound of acknowledgement at Kai and turns her attention back to Buck. “Well, thank you very much, Mister Ransom,” she says amiably. “For now, I’ve been on my feet since I came to work this morning, so I believe it’s time for me to head home.”
Buck nods to Mirabel, “I’ll walk you to your car, Miss Kane. I was wondering if I could inquire about an office here on Campus and where I would set it up.”
“Certainly,” Mirabel says and turns to leave with Buck. “We have several available offices. If you intend to use the gymnasium for your self-defense course, it’s easiest to pick an office nearby.”
“Big enough,” Elliot tells Sophie with a small nod. “There’s the East Ballroom and West Ballroom.”
“Goodness,” Mirabel mutters.
Kai glances to Elliot and Sophie and looks back to Nemi, “What’s with the cards?” he asks.
“I never learned to read,” Kai tells Nemi in mock-sadness.
Nemi raises an eyebrow at Kai, sighing softly after.
Jenny gives a wave to someone and someone saying to Nemi “Or could just get really good with a rifle.”
Sophie makes a soft ‘huh’ at Elliot, “One wasn’t enough.”
Jenny gives a wave to the pair leaving before saying to Nemi “Or could just get really good with a rifle.”
“I’ll be on my way home,” Elliot chuffs. “I plan on hosting someone at my pool.”
Elliot says “Who’s awake?“
Nemi nods softly. “Do stay safe. I’ll be taking my gear and heading out myself.”
Nemi nods and waves softly.
Jenny waves over to Nemi “Let me know when you wanna spar!”
Nemi says “Went pretty well, not a whole lot of attendee’s but people did show interest, we pivoted away from immediately making stuff to go over workshop safety and how to use machines as our first set of meetings.“
Nemi says “Shit he did-“
Nemi says “Finish pushing to the statue-“
Genevieve says “Back up towards the bench.“
Lykaia says “Sixty third also deploying…“
Nemi says “TRYING! “
Nemi says “Shit Shit Shit Shit Shit cedlie Incoming!“
Nemi says “Vie get back to the bench!“
Preston says “You all good?“
Preston says “Lykaia went down.“
Genevieve says “Yeah I’m ok.“
Nemi says “Shit- But yes I am- Hollow incoming-“
Preston grunts a bit, and pulls his rapier out, “Fucking hell.”
Preston says “Alright, you guys deal with this.“
Preston nods, and sends a shot out into the field.
Genevieve says “Nice nice.“
Preston looks up, “Meridith’s in the open,” Preston replies.
Nemi says “irght were good focus fire-“
Preston says “Alright, kill this fucking bird.“
Genevieve says “Tough bird…“
Preston says “They’re in cover now.“
Nemi says “Right- their hiding behind the playground and we can’t get closer without risking getting knocked out- I can’t myself.“
Preston says “Yeah, I’m trying to shoot it now.“
Nemi says “Preston just get back! They wont win if they push out!“
Preston says “Don’t worry.“
Nemi says “Vie can get to extraction faster than they can stop her-“
Genevieve says “We’ve got the thingie, so we can play pretty safe.“
Preston says “They’re pushing out.“
Preston grins, and takes a knee, taking another shot.
Nemi says “thats what we want- They’ll have to come in range now.“
Preston says “Don’t. “
Preston says “I’m good.“
Nemi says “I was prepping it just incase the bench goes down.“
Nemi says “Think meri’s got any tricks to suddenly close the gap?“
Nemi yells out. “WE WANT THIS TO BE OVER AS WELL MA’AM! NO HARD FEELINGS?!”
Nemi sighs softly as she fires at them.
Nemi says “I’ll bring cedalie an apology cupcake later.“
Preston says “Cadalie’s down?“
Genevieve says “Think so.“
Nemi nods to Amber.
Amber hops over the bench and ducks down on the other side, “Fuck me. Lured them out at least?”
Genevieve says “More drunks to the south.“
Nemi says “I’m surprised I’ve yet to be shot in the back considering the people surrounding me.“
Nemi says “Then again.“
Nemi says “Too tired to care-“
Genevieve says “Yeah, shouldn’t be a problem.“
