Multiple Groups – New Haven RPG

Out of curiosity, since I’m always interested in the topic of specialists vs generalists in games:

1. Is there any benefit to being part of only one group (cult/society/faction)?
2. Is there any penalty?
3. Is there any benefit to being part of multiple groups?
4. Is there any penalty?

This includes things like favor payouts or influence gain or anything else that might be affected. I tend to prefer to focus my efforts in one area in games, but often that means being disadvantaged.

You get a bit higher contributions for things which split contributions and when you have an item obviously don’t have to choose between your groups when contributing it so you’re likely to have higher contributions in your group if you’re single faction. On the other hand you can only get rewards from one group as well.

There’s no hidden mechanics or anything though so the benefits or drawbacks are pretty much just what you’d expect.
