Custom Defense Stat – New Haven RPG

The help file for custom defense stat says it gives 10% mitigation against all offensive disciplines, specializing in nothing specific.

Does this include against sorceries, which normally only Ballistic/Medieval Shields offer mitigation against?

Does it include monster disciplines like Dark Fighting etc.?
