In Master Bedroom
This windowless bedroom is a dark sanctuary against any outside influence. There is no natural lighting, instead being lit primarily by various ambient lights and lamps set about the room. A large dresser and larger wardrobe are the principle furniture aside from a queen-sized bed placed more centrally.
It is about 60F(15C) degrees. The mist is heaviest At High and Atlantic/span>/span(Your target stumbles upon a black market auction selling dangerous magical artifacts. When they’re spotted as an outsider, the auctioneer declares them part of the merchandise – unless they can prove their worth by demonstrating supernatural power or connections. They must either escape, bluff their way through, or shut down the operation before becoming the next item on the block.)
In modern Haven, evening comes on with the hum of headlights and the glow of storefronts switching from day to night mode. The little caf on the corner pushes tables closer together, fairy lights strung above the patio flickering on as regulars settle in for coffee or a late meal. The main street fills with a gentle rhythm of trafficnothing hurried, just the steady flow of commuters heading home and a few teenagers circling in cars with music low but present.@line someone is Lillian up to on this average day?

What is Lillian up to on this average day?
Lillian returned from work to find mists thick at her front door. She ran her sword through a few rats, as a proper big cat might do, and then decided she didn’t want to fight another dozen rats and thus took a stroll through the southern end of the park, enjoying the evening air there.
A text comes in, a chime. Perhaps if she has set up a chime, she’ll know it’s Meridith. Or she looks at her phone. Either way.
>Help [address]
Lillian knows it isn’t too far away…but nothing is there but a warehouse? Hm.
Despite the suspicious nature of the address, Lillian isn’t going to ignore a call for help from a friend. She rushes off towards the address, wasting no time in doing so.
Lillian arrives within twenty minutes or so, and sees nothing outside. But there’s a lot of vehicles and eyes on the street. An alley stretches around the warehouse. There appear to be no windows inside.
Lillian hums thoughtfully. If there’s no obvious entrance to the warehouse she can see, she might as well try searching the alley.
Well there is a main bay door, large enough for a truck, which is sealed shut. The there’s a second metal door, with a man watching it. The back has the same set up. But no one is guarding the side door. Lillian could make her way in quiet, or, try to sneak in the front? Course loud is an option.
There’s no need to make this more complicated than she needs before she figures out what’s going on. Lillian tries to go through the unguarded side door. She’s kinda sneaky.
Lillian makes it inside silently, there’s a loud murmur from the far end. Like a large crowd chattering. In the back area she spies, crates, objects, doodads, and an energized crowd. There’s several rooms for full of merchandise.
Lillian takes a peek over at the crowd, if she can. She needs to figure out what the fuck is happening.
Lillian poking her head out is grabbed from behind by a powerful hand. “No wandering about, wait your turn.” She is guided back towards one of the rooms. The hand feels like it could snap her neck, painful and hard to break the hold of.
Lillian hisses in irritation. She writhes and twists to try to get a good look at whoever is manhandling her. “Hey! What the hell is going on here!?”
“Whatever, wait here.” The figure throws open the door and throws Lillian in, slamming it shut behind. She sees a tall woman leaving the room behind. Inside is like a dressing room, and in it is a very dazed and confused Meridith, who looks otherwise unharmed, if entirely naked aside from a collar.
Lillian blinks and stares at Meridith a moment. “What the fuck!?” she says, quietly on instinct, after a moment. She rushes over, checking her for wounds just in case she just couldn’t see any on first glance. “What is going on, Mer?”
Meridith blinks and stares at Lillian, confused. She shifts a bit, but doesn’t reply. No injuries aside from some nasty bruising about her neck.
“Fuck, okay.” Lillian inspects the collar to see if it’s simple to remove.
Lillian decides after a moment to just get her underneath the thing and try to pull back to cut it loose.
Lillian manages to get it off, but only when the door is flung open. The woman wears full medieval armor she notices and scowls “Trouble maker, I suspected, I’ll sell you next…” She reaches forward to grab Meridith.
Lillian dives in between the woman and Meridith and points her sword at the newcomer. “Fuck all the way off. I’ll be taking her and going, and you’d be smart to just let me.” She grips her rapier tight and bares her teeth.
Lillian finds herself smashed with a gauntlet, but gets her blade about in time, in order to fend the woman back a moment. As the woman wheels back with her own blade Meridith slams into her knocking her back, as she regains some of her senses. There is an opening now, to retreat out with her, if Lillian thinks it’s wise
Lillian is prideful. She -wants- to fight. But she can’t let pride win when Meridith is so in danger. “We’re going!” she declares, grabbing Meridith’s hand to tug her along after her, perhaps even scoop her into her arms if necessary.
Meridith is in a bad state, Lillian hauls her out before the woman can recover herself, and the duo make it outside, where the witnesses make retrieval difficult. Meridith groans.
“What the hell happened? Are you okay?” Lillian asks Meridith in somewhat of a frenzy as she absconds with her, occasionally glancing back behind to make sure they’re not being followed.
Meridith groans gently and rubs her head. “Y-yeah I’m…” She shakes her head. “Groggy…messed up. I was trying to shut it down and got caught….thanks for showing up…”
“What was it? How long did they have you?” Lillian’s rash of questions probably doesn’t help much, but she’s not really thinking much about that in such a panicked state.
“Dunno…twenty? Shhh…” Meridith mumbles. They arrive back at Lillian’s front door.
