During the server hang I wrote down a bunch of questions I hadn’t been able to resolve IC, or ones that had come up in newbie and hadn’t been put to the forum. Heeere they are:

What languages are spoken on the other worlds and are they distinct from Earth’s? I believe The Wilds was simply Wildling? Did the Godrealms homogenize their tongues or simply hold to their Earth counterparts? (House of Zeus speaks Greek, etc)

To what extent can Higher Powers effect the dreamscape? Would mythological powers of this domain; Hypnos, Mamu, Morpheus be merely deific experts in its study or could they have been born from it? Can they evoke the material from the psychic domain, which is to say, if Dreamchildren can manifest in a physical way, can the gods manifest other things through this means?

What characterizes the activation of Elseborn and Dreamchildren, psychologically? All beings have their faults and ties to corruption, yet EB and DC don’t possess those or weaknesses, are there any limitations/things to deal with to being a Dreamchild? The study of the occult, mechanically, activates them but at what point of study? Just learning facts? Doing Rituals? What about their nature allows them this avenue of activation where others cannot? Or, are there examples of naturals becoming supernatural through similar means, and Dreamchildren/Elseborn simply are surefire in their activation through this method?

If one is mute, can they therefore not train incantations? If one cannot talk, should they be unable to make rituals progress faster and train this skill? Should werewolves be unable to howl, as well?

Are the monsters in the mists sentient? Of course, because we only see them in antagonistic means through the game’s mechanics as lack of need to portray them otherwise, characters will often conclude that they are mindless. Many of them use tools as a sign of intelligence (bows), whilst others are merely animated objects given movement. Is there a reason they all work together, and are there peaceful variants of these creatures in their respective worlds or otherwise complex societies; Satyrs, Minotaurs, Boarmen, Snake-people, etc.

When we bargain for purity, do we reach for a cognizant power or is it something more self-introspective? I believe we have an example within The Order’s file, the Grove, that could be the ‘powers of good’ that we bargain to. Are there certain powers that you would say are not options of good? I.E; God(Yahweh, Jehova), Any other supposedly ‘divine’ beings? (Less a question about content in the Bible and more a question on the separation of the Temple’s God and how other deific beings could be considered morally good).

Is invitation a universal concept, and not something witnessed exclusively in Haven? What about Charon coins and bringing back the dead, is that an opportunity that lures people to the city or can it be done anywhere? If Zeus were on the loose, would by being in his presence would you become doomed almost immediately to invitation 10?

Why did my unicorn turn into a pony? Was I simply not a good enough virgin, or are monstrous beasts not welcome as options for mounts. What are the restrictions? No fleshformed horses? Is a skateboard unsuitable as a cheap cruiser motorbike? (Could a price range be added for mounts to be acceptably exotic?)

    Ouroboros
    Keymaster

Wildling is a sort of catch-all language for the wilds and other worlds, I’d think of it like a common tongue but different regions will still have their own dialects or use languages from Earth regions.

I suppose a dreamchild could have become a god or fae or something if they were created long enough ago, there could be higher powers with more connection to the dreamscape but there are none with unique powers over it, no they can’t manifest things from the dreamscape. Even dreamchildren aren’t manifested directly, they’re always born as humans.

Just represents some sort of history/familiarty with magic that can be used to gain access to supernautral powers.

I think it’d be fine to RP a mute as being able to use rituals and just doing it some other way.

Mist monsters are all created by some higher power through some act of fleshforming at some point, they don’t talk to PCs and do not seem to be sentient although as pointed out they do use tools, that’s what people know about them.

You could RP a purity bargain as some self meditative thing or as some deal with something where you trade power for purity.

Invitation is useful but more pronounced in Haven, just living in Haven is to some degree an invitation to the supernatural. Charon coins are Haven specific but there are other unspecified means of resurrection around. You don’t gain invitation from just being near someone so no…

Monstrous beasts are not valid as mounts, or for that matter futuristic technology like hoverbikes. That would be RPing your character having an ability(unicorn taming) they have no coded support for.
