(Seraphina’s Puppy Yoga and Adoption at Gym and Tonic)

[Tue Sep 23 2025]

In the meditation room at 8983G8983y7776m7576 75a1110n1110d0498 04T9862o2662n2662i26c
Fully enclosed and visually sequestered from the rest of the gym, this room is accessed through a dark oak door with brushed brass hardware set into deep navy walls. Flooring follows the gyms palette: polished dark oak hardwood, adding warmth and a 01soft reflective sheen underfoot. One full-height wall is mirrored with a slender brass frame about its perimeter, and lighting is handled by concealed perimeter strips and dimmable overhead fixtures with brass housings, offering 31w30ar29m28 27am26b20ie14nt14 20il26l27um28in29a30ti31on.

Structured greenery, including rubber plants and sansevieria, lines the base of the unbroken wall. Planters are matte black 01cylinders with subtle brass bases, reinforcing the rooms palette without visual excess. A gentle eucalyptus aroma is delivered via a recessed diffuser near the entrance. Storage is streamlined40 into a wall niche with matte black shelving, concealed hardware38, and no visible branding – emphasizing utility over decoration.

It is night/i/span, about 69F(20C) degrees, and there are clear skies. The mist is heaviest At King and Blackstone/span
There is a waxing crescent moon.

Sofia leans down over the group of puppies with a grin, kneeling and saying, “Oooo, we do have some cute ones here though…” She glances up to Navessa and beams a smile saying, “Hey you, been too long!”

Why yes, Navessa did absolutely buy some appropriate yoga clothes. Most of her working out is not.. this. But hey, puppies. She does grin at Sofia as she makes her way in, approaching to claim a spot next to the woman. “It really has. How have you been? Still tits deep in your new business venture?”

Seraphina unleashes one puppy at a time, getting numerous kisses in the meanwhile, that cause her to crinkle up her nose. Each puppy, once freed begins to wander the room, and sniff at the women who are in attendance. “I do! The local shelter did a raid at a nearby puppy mill, so we’ve got some designer ones. The mama’s are still at the shelter and getting the help they need.” She scritches at one ear of the corgi. She’s clearly claimed her, already.

Esme is awwing over the puppies and maybe taking a few pictures also. She flashes a smile to Navessa, “Good to see ya.” She greets and then adds toward Laine, “I don’t think we’ve met before. Name’s Esme.”

Sofia points a finger back to Navessa affirmatively only to be interrupted by a headbump from the dalmatian, which she translates into a few scritches behind the ear. “Yeah, you got it in one. Been traveling pretty constantly for that, trying to get recipes mastered from all across the world. Gonna be a whole thing when we get there. I’m excited for it though.”

Laine has re-emerged and quietly joined the group, changed out of her sweaty clothes into something else. She lifts a hand once she’s addressed, “Laine.” she greets, “Good to meet ya.” she supposes, standing like she’d really like to have her hands in her pockets, but, she doesn’t presently have pockets. Her attention drifts to the puppies from time to time, too, though she’s -obviously- too cool to oo and aww about them. Not with this many people here, at least.

“Hi,” Seraphina says to Navessa, wiggling her fingers, which is then nipped at. She stands and heads to the mat in the very front by the mirrored wall. “Glad that you all came.” She says, “We will start with some basic yoga, and maybe something a little more intermediate, given our group, then we will start. I have ten puppies tonight, but whatever does not get adopted will be brought again.” She winks at Sofia, “Maybe even a dane.”

Seraphina uses a dalmatian 42puppy/i: 40The puppy flicks its ears at distant sounds, body still but alert.

Navessa wiggles her fingers at Esme as well. “I still need to get those last finishing touches done. I’m sorry. I thought I had it ready and then…” A sort of sheepish shrug. “Perfectionism, I guess. I do think you’ll be happy with it. And with the sketches I’ve got coming for the auction house.” She, too, looks toward Laine. “I’m Navessa. Nice to meet you, Laine.” And then she’s crouching to greet puppies. Because you must. There’s a wiggle of fingers back to Seraphina, or maybe puppies. Or both!

“Nice to meetcha, Laine.” Esme smiles toward Laine with a nod and then tells Navessa reassuringly, “I get it. No rush at all yeah? I look forward to seein’ ’em when you’re done!”

“Sofia Delvecchio,” Sofia replies back to Laine cheerily in introduction, booping the dalmatian on the nose as she comes to a stand. There’s a pause and a flash of her eyes as Seraphina mentions the Dane, and says, “I did see this huuuuge breed in my travels lately, a Neapolitan Mastiff, that’s where my family is from. Biggest drooliest dolts, just loaf around all day and stand guard.”

Gabriel walks in with a wave to everyone before he flashes a grin to Esme, “Not gonna lie to you. I had to run to the store on the way over and find a decent pair, that’s why I’m late.”

“Hey, Gabriel, grab yourself a mat and get ready to get some limbering in.” Seraphina tells Gabriel, standing upon a mat and spreading her feet apart at shoulders apart.

Esme moves toward one of the mats to claim it and focus up on Seraphina. “I admit I don’t know much ’bout yoga in practice. But I think I’ll be able t’ keep up.” She decides, giving Obadiah a wave when he comes in. She also takes off her shoes so she can just be in her socks.

Obadiah is definitely ready to go for yoga today. Probably rushed right over not thinking of what to wear. “Hey hey,” he greets those he knows with a broad smile and moves to hold up one of the walls.

Gabriel flicks Obadiah a wave before nodding to Seraphina and finding a mat for himself, already limbering up with a few rolls of his shoulders.

Sofia waves a hand over at Obadiah with amusement and jokes, “You look like you’re about to investigate a dicey supernatural yoga murder in that purple getup.”

Having claimed a mat by Sofia, Navessa is already going into the limbering up herself. Though flexibility does not seem to be an issue for the auburn-haired woman. Still, she is applying herself to it all the same. You don’t stay flexible by skipping the stretching parts! “Hey, sir,” she offers over her shoulder to Obadiah with a wink. “But I agree. That’s definitely investigation wear.”

Seraphina winks at Esme, “I am not going to get into advanced moves. Just a few simple ones like last time.” She does have a little mischeviousness in her gaze though. “We will begin in the mountain pose. She puts her feet together, toes pointing forward, and her hands at her side. We will begin and end each standing pose with this, also known at tadasana.”

Seraphina uses a 29a group of curious puppies: 16The pomeranian spins in place, fluff trailing like a ribbon, then sits like royalty.

Obadiah winks at Sofia and someone, “Just call me Carlos San Fransisco.” He laughs then and says, “I forgot where I was going, or why I was coming here. Besides, this coat has a mind of its own.”

Esme sends a quick text before putting her phone to the side and watching Seraphina get into the pose. She looks only mildly suspicious for a fleeting moment to that mischievous glint but then she’s adjusting and getting into the mountain pose – maybe possibly around some pups as they scramble about.

Laine lopes along to her own mat, peeling off her shoes before she steps onto it as she surveys the others, gaze flicking to Seraphina as she offers instructions and following along with them, her gaze distractedly flitting toward the puppies from time to time, even if she is -obviously- too -cool- to be that interested in puppies. Obviously.

“It is a very cool coat, Mr. San Fransisco,” Navessa says to Obadiah with a barely suppressed snicker. A flexing of her feet against the mat and she settles comfortably into mountain pose. Well, after lifting a foot to let a puppy scramble by.

Sofia stretches out herself in her seated position by Navessa, laughing warmly as she glances back to Obadiah and telling the former, “Carlos San Fransisco, watch out, he’s gonna steal the Eiffel tower or some shit.”

“From here, we are going to drop into the chair pose, or utkatasana.” Seraphina demonstrates by performing a squat-like stance, her arms reaching skyward, her torso straight. “This will help your core and leg strength.” As she tries to maintain her stance, one of the puppies comes up to investigate, hopping up to rest its front paws on her shin.

Seraphina uses a 29a group of curious puppies: The beagle howls softly during a guided meditation, tail wagging in apology.

Obadiah snap points at Sofia, “You understood the assignment. Good for you, Acme Agent Delvecchio.” He sighs then and shrugs out of the offending purple gear and starts to roll his shoulders, “Might as well stretch a little bit I guess.”

“Hold your breath, in a count of four, hold for six, and out for eight.” Seraphina says then says to the beagle, “That means you too.” She calls Obadiah out, “And yes, you too.”

Sofia focuses a bit better on Seraphina but the swirling of the puppies distracts her, her squatting pose looking more like a Russian gopnik than a chair, having achieved the Ushankasana pose.

Seraphina uses a 29a group of curious puppies: The shiba inu stretches beside a yogi with perfect form, then walks away mid-motion.

Gabriel squats down in his best attempt at mimicking Seraphina’s moves, minus the breathing anyway, he seems to be exceptionally good at holding his breath.

Esme tries to ease down into the pose with a little unevenness. The husky gets close enough for it’s wagging tail to thwack against her which almost makes her lose her balance. She makes a mild ‘eep’ noise before managing to keep still.

“Yes Ma’am,” Obadiah says to Seraphina with a mischievous grin and takes a deep breath, holding it and letting it out to the pace dictated by the instructor.

It appears that Navessa can carry on a conversation and do the poses. Unfair? Unfair! But some people get to be good at some things and maybe this is one of them for the Irish woman. “Yes, stretch with us Carlos. You’ll need it for your plans.” Hopefully no puppies run off with that hat, though! She does lower a hand to ruffle the ears of one of the dogs running by.

“We will do this three times, always returning to tadasana.” Seraphina says, repeating the action to get mauled again by rambunctious puppies. “When we have all completed our repetitions, at your own pace, we will then drop into the downward facing dog, otherwise known as Adho Mukha Svanasana.”

Seraphina uses a 29a group of curious puppies: 55The husky howls during a quiet moment, convinced its part of the soundtrack.

Seraphina uses a 29a group of curious puppies: 16All the puppies chase a rolling water bottle across the room, ignoring every command.

Dovie rushes in, breathing a sigh of relief as she realizes she’s not too late! She grabs an open yoga mat, stopping to pet one of those cute lil puppers.

Esme does a little bit better on the second repetition and nearly has it all correct on the third! If not for the fact that those chasing pups cause her topple on her ass instead of into a squat. She lets out a laugh and does another rep to make up for it before returning to the starting position as instructed, in preparation for the next move.

Laine likewise seems untroubled by taking the poses and dealing with the occasional distraction of puppies, reaching down to pat at ones that pass by, with attempts at stealth, lest someone think she is some normie that adores dogs. Her balance steady and her breathing even as she follows instruction with quiet calm. When she rises to the starting position again she faces the trouble of a dog nestling between her feet, having to awkwardly half-hop into the position at a bit of angle to avoid disturbing it.

Seraphina grins at Dovie, finishing her reps of the chair pose, moving from a squat to a relaxed stand, to the beginning of downward facing dog, her feet spreading on the mat, and her torso bending, so that her hands can touch flat on the mat.

Seraphina uses a 29a group of curious puppies: 16The corgi snuggles into a folded blanket and falls asleep mid-stretch, nose twitching.

Sofia would absolutely be following along with Seraphina, or chatting away with Navessa, but whirling dervish of pups is a constnat distraction and she’s really just posing completely halfass, following along a good ten seconds behind the guided lesson and not really getting the positioning right in the process.

Gabriel flashes Dovie a smile in place of a wave as he continues trying to follow along, and doing a decent job of it aside from some unsteady wobbling. “Now wait a minute, I don’t bend that way.” he says as Seraphina practically folds herself in half.

“I’m sure you are familiar enough with downward dog…” Seraphina teases Gabriel.

Seraphina gets a kiss on the nose by a random puppy, before it finds her hair far more interesting and tries to play tug of war with it.

And from that chair pose back to mountain and back to chair. Sure, the more squatting chair is a bit harder BUT… it means puppies and even if they are running by, then Navessa can pet them on the way back. And again to mountain. Where she gives a wiggle of fingers in greeting to Dovie and now, yes, she follows into downward facing dog. There is a deep breath before she relaxes properly into it. There is a lean backward, too briefly: stretching her back just a bit more before she eases into the more proper pose for the duration.

Gabriel opens his mouth as if to retort Seraphina’s statement only to give a slight, conceding motion with his head before he tries, and fails, to bend and place his hands on the floor, barely making it a few inches beyond his knees.

Esme upnods to Dovie and seems skeptical of being able to bend down as neatly as that. “Damn, maybe I -do- need to start doin’ yoga…” She murmurs, mostly to herself. She bends down as far as she can – which brings her hands to about halfway down her calves, but there’s a little grimace on her expression.

For whatever reason, Laine looks behind herself, and shifts to aim her backside away from any possible rear neighbors before she goes into this pose, though she has equally little trouble with it, aside from having to suddenly squirm as her mat-mate rises from its brief rest to start sniffing at her face and nose. Maybe she -isn’t- actually too cool for puppies, but she still has to try and shift her face about, dodging puppy kisses to her actual mouth, that’s a bridge too far.

Dovie gets situated, waving to everyone before moving into that downward dog position, seeming familiar with it already, letting out a sigh as she does so, though a roving puppy catches her eye and causes her to wobble a bit.

Trying to keep her position steady with one hand, Seraphina uses her other to try to retrieve her hair, but she’s now getting swarmed by other puppies who want in on the action. In the end, she ends up on her rear end. Flopping down onto her posterior, she watches Gabriel, Esme, Navessa, Sofia, Dovie and Obadiah in their yoga stretch. She, however, is in a puppy cuddle. And that is more important.

Seraphina uses a 29a group of curious puppies: 80All the puppies form a chaotic cuddle pile on someones mat, tails wagging in tangled sync./span>

Petting and squishing puppies, Seraphina says to the group, “I was going to have us go into the tree pose, but since I am already seated, please seat yourself!” She tries to push a few puppies off her mat so she can stretch her legs out. “We will stretch out our spine and hamstrings with the Paschimottanasana, or, more easily known as the seated forward bend.”

Seraphina uses a 29a group of curious puppies: 55The pomeranian hums softly when praised, tail vibrating like a pom-pom.

Dovie takes a seat onto her mat, her eyes going wide as she stares at the puppies lolling about, squeaking out, “God they’re SO cute!!”

Esme easily topples out of the downward dog, happy to get back to sitting on the mat. “I’m learning I don’t stretch enough.” She laughs. “They are -adorable-.” She agrees readily with Dovie. “All of them.”

Gabriel takes a little bit to catch up, seemingly a bit distracted by something as he slowly lowers himself down into a seated position on the mat and pets one of the passing puppies.

Seraphina uses a 29a group of curious puppies: 55The husky howls during a quiet moment, convinced its part of the soundtrack.

“Should stretch before and after any workout.” Laine advices as she lets herself sink into a seat, following into the familiar seated forward bend, able to fold herself up pretty compactly into the pose, though she does at least have the good grace to look mildly uncomfortable after a few seconds of it. Especially when a pup jumps onto her back in attempts to climb her to her head.

Esme attempts to wrangle one of the puppies as it comes closer to help keep Seraphina’s mat a little clearer. She pets it for a few moments as she watches the stretch but it wriggles away from her. Oh well, she tried! She stretches her arms upward briefly in preparation before starting to bed forward, “Well see, that’s tha thing.” She tells Laine, “The workin’ out I do tends t’ involve fightin’ or fuckin’.” She laughs. “Not a lotta time for stretching before those.”

Joining the others in a seated position, Navessa takes the opportunity to gather a little Australian Shepherd with mis-matched eyes into her lap for a brief cuddle before letting it go on about its business. Which is mostly bounding around.

Seraphina stretches out, trying to touch at her toes, perhaps just making a show of it, herself, while puppies seek out to investigate other laps, or like Laine, backs and heads. Hopefully not the Bernese. “The latter is a stretch of its own,” she tells Esme. She holds her pose, breathing steadily. In, four, hold, six, out eight.

Seraphina uses a 29a group of curious puppies: 30The poodle curls its paws and mimics a seated posture beside a yogi.

Dovie is fully distracted now as she sits, petting a husky puppy who has climbed into her lap, the stretching forgotten as she coos, “Who’s a good doggy??”

“I stretch before fucking if at all possible.” Laine provides casually, “I guess surprises are surprises, though…” she does reason, eventually shaking the pup off and corralling it next to her so she can scratch at its ears.

Esme winks toward Seraphina with a chuckle, “Fair point.” And adds to Laine, “More patient than I am thats’ for sure.” With some amusement. She draws in a breath, starting to try and ease out of the stretch with another little grimace.

“I don’t actually know how to do yoga,” Sofia admits to Esme and Laine readily, as if it weren’t readily apparent from the awful technique of her poses, before clarifying, “But I do work out a ton. And stretch a ton. But it’s like, mostly lifting, endurance training, sprints… I dunno, a lot of sports training I’ve carried over into my day to day.” Supporting her weight on an arm and waggling her hand over in Seraphina’s direction, she concludes, “This stuff is beyond me.”

Playfully, Seraphina covers the ears of the beagle after she has seated herself proper. She begins to fluff them about with happy glee. “From here, we will end our stretching with the corpse pose.” She lays back, and lets fate take over. “Oh, Sof! I will take you aside and we can yoga together,” she assures Sofia, as she is walked over by puppies who are now curious as to what is in everyone’s bags, and dragging things out.

Gabriel tries this stretch with a lean forward and quickly gives up before things begin to pop, instead turning his attention to one of the pups that has come over to give him a sniff. “I’m with Sofia, there. Definitely got the strength, but apparently I do not have the flexibility.” he remarks as he looks around at the others making it seem all too easy.

Seraphina uses a 29a group of curious puppies: 30The beagle curls up inside a forgotten sweatshirt and naps through the cooldown./span>

“Yoga is a good way to… relax,” Navessa tells Sofia as she goes into the stretch. “For some it can be a good way to keep limber after an injury.” Not a hugely common issue in this city, but! You never know. “And, y’know, after certain activities-” a smirk sidelong to the pizza queen, “it can be part of aftercare.” She has no bags in here! All in her car. That does not stop any puppies from climbing all over her, however.

Esme holds an upward arm stretch for an extra beat or two but then she lays backward, letting her arms flop out to her sides. She tilts her head back a little to get eyes on the people behind her and see how they’re doing before she looks up to the ceiling, prepared for any potential wandering pups.

Seraphina uses a 29a group of curious puppies: 55The husky drags a yoga strap across the room like its leading a sled team.

Laine eyeballs a pup trying to rummage in her thankfully zipped bag, but eventually surrenders to destiny and flops back, immediately having to fend a dog off from her face again. Gently, of course, attempting to coax it into a cuddle, not that she’d ever confess to doing more than trying to safely contain it.

Dovie watches the husky wander off, her eyes big as she returns her attention to Seraphina, glancing around to also figure out what she’s supposed to be doing yoga-wise.

Sofia doesn’t seem to notice as the Pomeranian absconds with a pill bottle from her satchel and begins batting it about with a rattle, too focused she is on the pair of Seraphina and Navessa as she grins back at them, flopping back like a corpse in the offered pose. “I dunno, something about like, enforced relaxation always made it less relaxing for me, Yoga just has the effect of ramping my anxiety up and I don’t know why!”

The pose: Seraphina is laying on her back, with her arms spread out at her sides, like she were simply a corpse. Her chest rises and falls, and so does she, when the Bernese walks right atop of her, onto her belly. “Ooooof!”

Seraphina uses a gentle 55bernese 40puppy40/i: 40The bernese curls into a perfect loaf when sleeping, paws tucked beneath its chest.

Seraphina uses a 08pomeranian 15puppy08/i: 80The pomeranian watches others with quiet judgment, head tilted slightly./span>

Seraphina uses a 44dramatic 48husky 52puppy/i: 55The husky leaps over obstacles with ease, body arcing like a bow.

Leaning over toward Sofia, Navessa whispers something to her before maneuvering into corpse pose herself. Definitely one of the easier poses! And relaxing! She even lets her eyes close… until a cold nose ends up in her ear and there’s an “Eep!” as she twitches to the side and catches up a golden retriever pup in her arms to cuddle with it instead of, well, lying there like a corpse.

Obadiah snaps back to reality at the wall having been doing his own thing for the time being, probably watching the dogs and not at all perving on Gabriel.

Seraphina sits up after being stomped on by big paws, grinning gleefully as the big bear curls up at her side and she can dig her fingers into its multicolored fur. “Don’t worry, Sof, we’re done. With the yoga. But we will start on the bidding for the puppies.” She gets up with ease, without her hands to help, and tries to smooth out her hair after its been tugged on by puppies, a little damp at the tips by puppy saliva. She doesn’t seem to mind.

Sofia snerks back to Navessa and waggles, reaching an arm over to break the corpse pose and gently bump her fist into the other woman’s bicep. “Not sure that’d solve my root issues, but good to know what’s on your mind she muses, before she gets caught with a few licks in the face and flails around in a fit of laughter, not seeming to even process that Seraphina has started the process.

Dovie looks torn as she looks between all of the puppies.

Esme takes a moment or two longer in the corpse pose before finally starting to ease back up into a sitting position with a bit of a grin as she looks over the puppies.

Navessa grins at Sofia, shameless. “I blame Preston.” Easy to blame someone not here! But she does it up and goes into a more relaxed pose, legs crossed at ankles and knees partially winging upward to drape her arms over. “Think he’d forgive me for bringing home a puppy?”

“Of course! Why wouldn’t he?” Dovie remarks to Navessa as she melts as one of the puppies rolls around.

“He is easy to blame.” Seraphina tells Navessa. She chuckles, “I think he would forgive you, yeah. I’m sure you’d have to fight him for it to snuggle with.”

Obadiah steps off the wall and moves closer to Esme, before he says to her, “I of course think the beagle will get along well with Rascal, but if you would rather something else I am game. So long as it isn’t the Shiba.” He glances to Dovie with a knowing grin then falls silent while the bidding begins.

“Yeah, I mean, if we’re talking big old softies… how’s Preston gonna get mad about a puppy?” Sofia asks of Navessa with a grin.

The percussive THUNK of Celestine’s cane heralds her arrival far before she manages to shamble into the room… each forward press of the butt into the mats beneath dragging her forward with the inevitability of an oncoming plague. Her leftmost leg seems to shudder as she walks… locking in place only as she settles all of her weight upon it… the sound of metallic creaking filling the room with sound. Pausing by the door… wide, owlish eyes gaze upon the room like twin full moons… basking the puppies in the intensity of their silver glow. “I am not too late to be doing of the yoga, am I?” She asks in an oddly syncopated, soft-spoken voice… lowering herself to the floor with a shuddering creak.

Dovie gazes over towards Celestine. “We just wrapped yoga, but you’re just in time for the puppy auction!”

“We will start bidding on the chihuahua, named Pepe.” Seraphina says then to the group. “I’m lowering the cost to seventy five to start, putting some of my own money in for the spay and neuter.” She takes the leash and puts it on the tiny thing, even if it eyes her like he’s going to pounce. “Late for yoga, but in time to buy a puppy,” she tells Celestine.

Seraphina uses a 80fierce 55chihuahua 80puppy30/i/b/b>: 30The chihuahua sleeps with one eye open, ears twitching at every shift./span>

Esme grins to Obadiah, “Beagle’s cute. I’m fine with it.” She figures to him.

Or… it wants to sleep instead of eye Seraphina, at least with both eyes.

“True, true,” Navessa says as she considers all of the puppies, chewing at her lip. “I guess that begs the question then… Which one?!” Because there are just so many cute ones. As in: almost all of them. The chihuahua, however, does not get a reaction from her. Nope. That one is definitely not on the list.

“Don’t feel bad if there isn’t a taker on any of the dogs. I’ll be working hand in hand a few times a year for adoption.” Seraphina says, giving the large ear of the chihuahua a rubdown.

Seraphina uses a 80fierce 55chihuahua 80puppy30/i/b/b>: The puppy stretches with tension, limbs taut and deliberate.

Seraphina hands the chihuahua leash off to a worker, who walks it about, then over to a play pen where it is then contained. “Pepe will find a home I’m sure. At least with me for a while…. This will be a surprise for Thomas.”

Sofia sits up and folds her legs up into a lotus position, seeming entirely acceptably flexible and able to pose when she isn’t being told what to do. She observes the chihuahua with some mild amusement and a smile, before grinning to Seraphina and saying, “I feel like that one would feel at home in some Montrose’s purse.”

“Next, we have Princess the pomeranian…” Seraphina says, giving Sofia a shake of her head. “We were trying to get Avalon to buy him last time.”

Seraphina uses a 08pomeranian 15puppy08/i/i>: 30The pomeranian guards its toys like royal treasures, paws planted firmly.

“Either Pepe or Princess. I would even spend some money to purchase him a murse!” Seraphina remarks. “I should reach out to him though, see if he is okay. I heard he got snagged in the mist.”

“I’m just not ah tiny dog kinda person.” But he is cute.” Esme chuckles at the idea of Avalon having such a pet. “Too bad he ain’t here.”

Sofia does seem more visibly swayed by the pomeranian that comes up to show, swooning ever so slightly, but she chokes it back and stands her ground, not chasing after this particular dog.

“I’m just not ah tiny dog kinda person. But he is cute.” Esme chuckles at the idea of Avalon having such a pet. “Too bad he ain’t here.” (Fix)

Dovie waits anxiously, trying not to stare at any dog too long, so as to inadvertently give away her secrets…!

“Princess is a toy pom, so she will not get bigger than, well… a teacup.” Seraphina says, nodding to esme. “Again, we will begin at seventy five.”

Seraphina uses a 08pomeranian 15puppy08/i/i>: 55The puppy hums softly when surrounded by familiar voices, tail flicking in rhythm.

Seraphina uses a 08pomeranian 15puppy08/i: 16The puppy circles its bed, anywhere soft and fit for a Queen, with theatrical flair before settling into a perfect coil.

Laine tilts her head at the THUNK sounds, peering over at Celestine, watching Celestine with a sort of disturbed fascination for a few seconds before she looks to the puppies as they’re called out. She is also not trying to look too hard, though perhaps for different reasons than Dovie, glancing occasionally toward the door, then remaining where she is a bit awkwardly.

Navessa does seem to be considering each dog in turn, but none have specifically stood out just yet. She keeps arms wrapped around her knees, save for briefly pulling her phone out of her sports bra to check her messages.

“Oh.” Celestine says smoothly, her expression actually seeming to drop as she realizes the Yoga is already over. She limps over to take her place upon one of the mats, her prosthetic leg juttering unevenly beneath her as she unsteadiky drops into the mats below. “I will put a starting bid on Mademoiselle Princess in Avalon’s stead, so long as I am also allowed to bid on the Shiba later.”

“I have been told by the shelter that they would prefer that one pup goes to one household, but if you are seeking to bid for Princess on Avalon’s behalf, I don’t see an issue.” Seraphina says to Celestine, gently petting the little pom, so very carefully. “Seventy five for Princess. Any others?”

Seraphina uses a 08pomeranian 15puppy08/i/i>: 16The puppy stretches with flair, limbs extending like ribbons.

“OH! Also I do Zelle. Just remember that there is a surcharge!” Seraphina says, cradling the tiny little thing in her hand a moment, then setting her back down to prance and preen like the princess she is.

Seraphina uses a 08pomeranian 15puppy08/i/i>: 55The puppy climbs onto cushions like ascending a throne, fluff trailing behind.

“You may give of the puppy to Avalon yourself, if there are any concerns as to the validity of mine word.” Celestine reasons evenly, folding her good leg beneath the loose hinge of her prosthetic. She pulls a notebook from her purse, pulling her boots off and her sweater up and over her head… before jotting something down within. “…The shiba sees the world through eyes which are not its own. Their well was no more real than a rabbit of Ra.”

“Seventy five to Celestine!” Seraphina says, handing the leash over to her worker who then walks over to Celestine with it.

“Sounds like Avalon’s getting a little floof ball then,” Sofia mentions between Celestine and Seraphina as her upper body relaxes in her folded up pose.

“Zelle is Seraphina, if you need it. Some of you may have it from the boxing match.” Seraphina says, beckoning the worker back to her, so that she can place her in the pen also. “I’m sure Avalon will be okay with it. He wanted any that were not taken.”

Dovie glances at Celestine at the mention of the shiba, her brow furrowing slightly as she looks to the puppy.

Esme gives a small applause for the rehoming of the pomerian with a smile and then murmurs something to Obadiah.

“Next up! Our little beagle. He’s gotten the nickname Moose.” Seraphina says, urging the beagle to prance about as she walks him back and forth.

Seraphina uses a 30curious beagle 30puppy/span/b: The beagle follows invisible trails with purpose, tail wagging in sync.

“Moose!” Dovie exclaims with a chuckle. “How adorable.”

Obadiah takes a seat somewhere between Sofia, Esme, and Dovie, watching Seraphina work as he sits crisscross applesauce pulling out his phone then nods to Esme, raising his hand, “75!”

Gabriel snaps out of his puppy petting to start paying attention to everything else going on.

Seraphina uses a 30curious beagle 30puppy/span/b: The beagle stares at the horizon like it knows somethings coming.

Esme grins at the floppy little beagle. “He’s so cute!” She nods readily.

Lifting the puppy into her arms as it is delivered to her, the owlish intensity of the twin moons nestled into her gaze seem to examine the Pomeranian with a methodical intrigue, hear falling slightly askew. Her head tilts as if to imitate a doll devoid of its stuffing… the slightest smile spreading along the length of her lips. “…Hello Princess. You are going to be liking of monsieur Avalon, oui?” Celestine murmurs.

Sofia shudders slightly when Seraphina mentions the name moose, and a smaller one when Dovie repeats it, offering over to Obadiah, “That name just made me think of that awful guy… the Harrington kid who hexed me? Man, why can’t I even remember his name anymore?” She squints for a second, then recounts, “Uh, Elliot?”

Esme looks toward Gabriel, “Are you gonna get ah puppy pal for Pip?” She asks with a lifted brow

“Seventy five!” Seraphina says, ever-so-happily to see that another puppy will find its home. “Any others? Beagles are a bit stubborn so he needs to have a bit of a stubborn owner, too.” Her eyes linger on Obadiah a moment, a bit of smirk playing on her lips as she calls him out.

Esme looks toward Sofia and lets out a laugh, “Fuck, I forgot that was somehow one of his nicknames.”

“But this Moose is so much cuter!” Seraphina insists.

“How do ya even start gettin’ called ‘Moose’?” Laine has to wonder as she looks at dogs, in moderation.

“I think his myhaven profile was something to do with a moose?” Sofia mutters back to Celestine and Esme offhandedly, before smiling, “I do like this Moose though, he’s cute as hell.”

“Yes, Elliot,” Obadiah says to Sofia with a nod. “I am glad he left. If he had lingered much longer I probably would have stabbed him.” He squints slight, “Why is stabbing always the first thing I go to for conflict resolution?” He shrugs then and glances around, waiting for someone else to bid on what will for sure be a howling hound dog with the floppiest of ears.

Gabriel shakes his head at Esme, “Probably not. Just here for the yoga and the cute pups. They’re much cuter when you don’t have to look after them though.”

“Seventy five to Obie!” Seraphina coos, walking the beagle over to him, though slowly since the poor think keeps stepping on its long ears that he hasn’t grown into yet.

Seraphina uses a 30curious beagle 30puppy/span/b: The beagle trots with ears flapping like flags, gait steady and rhythmic.

Dovie claps for Obadiah, “Congratulations, you’re a doggy daddy!”

“You know I normally prefer using my words to violence when it comes to most folks,” Sofia tells Obadiah. “But that one time in the bayou I did threaten to punch his face until the airboat was full of bloody chicklets.” She lets out this statement without venom, cheerily clapping her hands together as Obadiah wins the bidding.

Esme chuckles, “Fair ‘nough.” She figures to Gabriel. When Obadiah wins she gives another clap! “Nice!” She grins, giving the beagle a little scritch when he’s brought over.

“Lets seeeeeee,” Seraphina says, looking over the puppies. “The corgi, sorry, is not for sale…” She gives it a little scritch. “Queenie is mine!” She says, however, “But we will now move on to the Shiba Inu.”

Seraphina uses a 16wiggly 80corgi 16puppy80/i/i>/b: 80The corgi spins once before lying down, fluff settling like a cushion./span>

Dovie perks up at Seraphina as she announces the shiba.

Obadiah taps out on his phone and then flashes it to Seraphina, “Got the funds?” Whatever the answer is he just nods as he starts to pet the little fella quickly curled up in his lap. “I am just a happy fur daddy now,” he agrees with Dovie nodding gently with a small smile, though Sofia gets a wry grin, “I was there. That was a fun mission.”

“eighty for the Shiba.” Celestine immediately offers, raising a hand upright. Her eyes seem to state glassily towards the opposite wall, never entirely settled upon one place. She hums a soft, ethereal tune underneath her breath, swaying softly back and forth.

Dovie raises her hand at Seraphina, glancing towards Celestine. “A hundred for the shiba!”

“What did he did do, or .. say?” Seraphina asks Sofia, but then waves it off. “Tell me later!” She says, “This little, handsome guy is Mochi.” She walks him about in a circle of the meditation room. “Shiba are very smart, and they are also loyal.”

Esme looks between Dovie and Celestine, interested to see if there’s about to be a bidding war.”

“Fur daddy kind of sounds like an elder tech bro in a fursuit themed San Francisco gay bar in the Castro,” Sofia summarizes without filter for Dovie, grinning as the bidding war arises. She nods agreeably to Seraphina, saving it for later.

Tap tap tapping a finger against the side of her phone, Navessa is still considering the dogs. She does not get into the bidding war, but she does seem to come back into focus to see where the bidding war *goes*.

Dovie tells Sofia simply, “Yes.”

Celestine glances aside to Dovie, her head falling to one side as if tethered to her neck only by a rusty hinge. She seems to consider the woman for a few moments, before chirping: “One twenty five…”

Dovie glances at the competition, then focuses on the proud little Mochi. “One fifty!”

“A hundred to Dovie for Mochi-Wochi!” Seraphina crows, so very chirpy and happy. “His mama was over bred, and unfortunately, was in very bad shape. But the shelter is trying to get her in a better place, and may come for adoption another time.”

Obadiah glances between Dovie and Sofia, “You are both lucky I am friends with you both.” He shrugs back into his coat, watching the bidding war briefly before looking down at his phone.

“One fifty, actually!” Seraphina says, letting the shiba preen for the guests. Her gaze drifts between Celestine and Dovie.

Seraphina uses a 66sharp 60shiba 66puppy60/b/b>: 80The shiba inu maintains distance until trust is earned, gaze steady and unreadable./span>

Dovie gazes back at Celestine and shivers, though she turns her attention back to Seraphina and the shiba with a renewed intensity, or perhaps a desire just to look away from Celestine.

Esme sends off a brief text as she watches the bidding war.

“Two hundred.” Celestine seems unwavering, her eyes practically searing into the vision. Even if one were to blink or look away, Celestine’s eyes seem to flash in their vision… as if having stared into the sun for too long.

Seraphina uses a 66sharp 60shiba 66puppy60/b/b>: 80The shiba inu stretches with feline grace, limbs unfolding in slow arcs./span>

“Two fifty,” Dovie responds after Celestine, ready and unhesitating in the price for said proud little pup.

“Why are we lucky, cause you can get us easy access into the fursuit bar? Cause you’re a regular?” Sofia teases back to Obadiah, grinning ear to ear as Obadiah and Celestine duke it out for their Doge.

“Mochi here is only six months old, so he is still in training. But he’s smart as a whip, so it shouldn’t take too long to get him potty trained in your house. But we will also be giving you a two month supply of puppy pads with the adoption.” Seraphina says, her gaze returning to Celestine to see if she bids again, after Dovie’s generous bid.

“Three hundred.” Celestine retorts near immediately… no hesitation showing in that owlish, silvery stare. Her eyes seem to search Dovie’s own… though her brow seems to furrow with a slightly pitying concern. gauging just how much this pupper is wanted by her opponent.

Seraphina uses a 66sharp 60shiba 66puppy60/b/b>: The puppy perks up at familiar voices, eyes locked in recognition.

“Three fifty,” Dovie replies with the confidence of a girl born with a platinum spoon. “And wonderful news about the puppy pads!” She sizes up her competition a moment, but bites her lip.

Obadiah looks up and chuckles at Sofia, “Carlos San Diego, remember? Famed detective, and apparently alter ego with with Fur Daddy. I don’t have a catch phrase.” He wags his brows, “But if you want to get into The Blue Puppy Club I am sure arrangements could be made.”

Gabriel chimes in to Obadiah, “San Francisco.”

Sofia points back to Gabriel agreeingly and chimes in ever so helpfully to Obadiah. “San Francisco. That’s why you got the line on all the hottest gay bars in the Castro.”

Gabriel bounces his brows at Obadiah.

“Is that not enough of a catch phrase?” Seraphina asks Obadiah, giggling. She kneels to give the shiba inu a good petting, from head to tail. “Three fifty now in Dovie’s court. Celestine?” she asks, looking quite suprised by the bidding war.

“I am feeling bad, Dovie.” Celestine reasons with a slight tilt of her head. “I do not mean to be making you to spend so much on a puppy. But I am rather fond of the little star.” Celestine considers, laying both hands over the clutch of her cane. She glances back, and forth… clearly pensive, before saying: “Five Hundred.”

Dovie remarks to Celestine. “Don’t feel bad. You want what you want. It just happens to be similar to what I want, so I’m sorry, but-” she adds after, “Seven hundred fifty.”

Sofia lets out a low whistle as the adoption price gets to half a grand courtesy of Celestine, then pitches to whistle even sharper once Dovie ups the ante even further. “Are we gonna see a grand on a puppy rescue?”

“Five hundred is still a low price for a purebred like Mochi is.” Seraphina says to Celestine. “And the shelter will be so pleased. Think of the rescues it can take in and feed and give a ceiling for with it.” She sighs as if in a dream.

“They are spending more than my rent,” Navessa mutters, “on a puppy.” Ever the starving artist type, she just stares. A little. Maybe a lot.

“Seven fifty!” Seraphina says, holding the puppy’s chin to look into its fox face and sharp eyes, “You hear that Mochi? You’re a good boy!”

Seraphina uses a 66sharp 60shiba 66puppy60/b/b>: The puppy rests with its paws tucked beneath its chest, ears angled like radar.

The smile dawns upon Celestine’s lips like the sun rising over the eastern horizon… Celestine’s eyes flicking back and forth between Dovie and the little Shiba. “…You will be being an incredible caretaker, Mademoiselle.” She says to Dovie, relenting the war with a nod towards Seraphina. “Better to save the rest of that wallet for her well being.”

Obadiah looks over to Navessa and explains, “See, She is dating a Mercer, and Mercers aren’t poor. And Dovie has that Fairchild money. I am fully expecting five figures if one doesn’t cave.”

Dovie smiles back at Celestine, giving a respectful nod. There’s no showboating, no gloating, simply an acknowledgment of a good bidding, “Thank you. And I am sure any of these fine little pups would be grateful to have your company.”

Gabriel lifts a brow and looks toward Navessa, “There’s places here that rent for less than seven fifty?”

Seraphina smiles at Celestine as she relents to Dovie, her smile turning onto the latter as she walks Mochi over to Dovie. “Congratulations! He’s a beauty! And I am so happy that he is going to a good home and will have brothers and sisters.”

Dovie claps her hands excitedly, pressing a few buttons on her phone.

“My place is five bucks a day.” Laine offers as she watches the small bidding war conclude, clearly a bit torn on how she should feel about it.

Obadiah thinks a moment, “You know a Gay Detective who carries around a Beagle would be a great television show. Like, I would watch Carlos San Fransisco solve crimes with his pet beagle Bear. Because of course his name is Bear.” He reaches up and scratches at his jaw, “I wonder if I can get Matt or Arachne to bankroll this.”

“Love ah good bidding war.” Esme grins a bit, tugging her converse back on after. She looks toward Obadiah, “I gotta head off back home. I’ll keep Rascal in my room for tonight just in case. Get her introduced to Moose here tomorrow.” She gives Moose a little pat on the head as she starts standing up. “Great time, Sera! And good luck to everyone and the puppies!”

“I have a small studio in Bayview that is under seven fifty. Granted, it is one room! But I love it.” Seraphina says, letting someone sniff out Dovie as he is handed off.

“I have a small studio in Bayview that is under seven fifty. Granted, it is one room! But I love it.” Seraphina says, letting Mochi sniff out Dovie as he is handed off.

“It is still a lot on a puppy,” Navessa says back to Obadiah. “I mean, they’re lovely puppies and it’s a good dog, but.” She halts, blinking at Gabriel. “Well, yeah. My brownstone is just shy. It just… needed a lot of work.”

Celestine uses a 08pomeranian 15puppy08/i/i>: 80The pomeranian watches others with quiet judgment, head tilted slightly./span>

“Matt, absolutely,” Sofia assures Obadiah without hesitation. “Arachne would probably just give you one of those ‘what are you smoking?’ sorta looks.”

Dovie nods at Seraphina before looking down at the shiba, holding out her hand. “Hello, Mochi! You’re getting a steak tonight!”

Dovie uses a 66sharp 60shiba 66puppy60/b/b>: 30The shiba inu reacts quickly to subtle changes, posture shifting with intent./span>

Glancing down to the Pomeranian with a curious cant of her head, Celestine blinks twice. Lowering a hand to scritch at the base of her head. “…This one is growing on me. Maybe I will keep her.” She seems hesitant, thoughtful. “…King night be dangerous for a little pupper, though.”

“Really? I think my brownstone was nearly thirteen.” Gabriel tells Navessa, “Still cheaper than that damn apartment though. That place was severely overpriced.”

Obadiah waves to Esme as she leaves, “Will do.” He looks back towards Sofia, “In the court I am one of her Knights, and I am surprised I have lasted this long. She either sees me as an adorable prankster, or her constant disappointment. I am not sure which.” He smirks then winks, “Guess I am stuck being an Orderite.”

“This is going a bit longer than I had intended, but we will do one more tonight, and I will schedule another adoption, perhaps at Inkwell, no yoga.” Seraphina tells the group, as Esme admits that she must be going. “Next up we’ll focus on the dalmatian. She is called Dot. For Well, obvious reasons.” She guides the Dalmation forward on its leash. “As before, we will begin at seventy five.” She notes to Sofia, “She was fond of you it seemed.”

“It was flooding terribly when I first moved in,” Navessa says to Gabriel. “That might have had something to do with it.”

“Dot is five months, they think. So she still has a lot of growing to do,” Seraphina says, lifting one of the dog’s paws to show off how big it is in relation to her height. A tilt of her head is given toward Navessa, “Oh, ours was a bit of a mess too, but we’re slowly working on it. It has its charm though. Even with the damage.”

Seraphina uses a dalmatian 42puppy/i: 55The dalmatian rests beside others without touching, maintaining quiet proximity.

“Dot,” Sofia repeats for Seraphina with a little pout, hear heart strings getting pulled out. “I wasn’t planning for a dog this energetic, I need a giant couch potato, but she’s very sweet so someone should probably adopt her OK?” She folds her arms and huffs a little, corner of her mouth twitching.

Gabriel leans toward Sofia, “You know you want her. Look at the literal puppy dog eyes.”

“I dunno,” Navessa says to Sofia, considering Dot. “I feel like she’d keep you perfectly company.”

Seraphina uses a dalmatian 42puppy/i: 55The dalmatian watches doorways like a sentry, gaze unwavering.

“But it’d be so mean to get a dog when I’ve been traveling so much!” Sofia pouts back to Gabriel, justifying. She’s snapped out of her woe by Dovie’s words though, replying in a hush, “There’s eyes everywhere.”

Sofia pauses to contemplate Navessa’s words for a moment, saying, “Come to think, I’ve already got a pale lump on the bed to keep me company, though.”

Seraphina uses a dalmatian 42puppy/i: 55The dalmatian scans its surroundings with alert precision, eyes flicking from shadow to sound.

Dovie snorts at Sofia.

Obadiah snorts at Sofia too.

Gabriel gives Sofia a roll of his eyes, “Oh please, like you can’t hire a proper caretaker for her or just take her with you. You’re just trying to justify it when you know deep down you really do want her.”

Seraphina giggles at Dovie, “You don’t even have to do that. Just put googly ones on a leaf.”

Dovie giggles back at Seraphina. “Sounds like I should hire you for that instead!”

Sofia whines back to Gabriel, making all the excuses she can in the meantime: “Yeah but then it’d just be the caretaker’s dog really, and I’d come home and she’d be like, who dis lady? I gotta be a responsible dog owner!”

Gently, Seraphina guides Dot over to Sofia, coaxing with a grin, “Look at that face! You booped her nose! She’s already imprinting on you…” The puppy looks longingly at Sofia. Then lets out a little woof at her. “And you don’t have to worry, she doesn’t have a hundred brothers and sisters.”

“Was there any particular puppies that Avalon seemed to want?” Celestine asks of Seraphina

Seraphina uses a dalmatian 42puppy/i: 55The dalmatian paces methodically when stimulated, steps measured and deliberate.

Celestine uses a 08pomeranian 15puppy08/i: 16The puppy rests with its fluff spilling over the edges, like a living pillow.

Seraphina shakes her head to Celestine, “No, he had only said he wanted whatever did not sell.” She winks at the woman, “Honestly, I think Pepe would be something. See him handle such a fragile thing in his big hands.”

Sofia tries to break eye contact with Dot as Seraphina and Dovie continue to pile in on her and finally she slumps her shoulders. “Ughf. Do I even give firefighter energy? C’mon.” She crosses her arms defiantly again and looks completely away before finally caving, and letting out a dramatic, “Fiiiiiiiine. C’mere Dot.”

Obadiah grins broadly at Sofia and Dot, “I think that is a great paring. And I am sure Ambrose will agree. And if he doesn’t well… ” His lips twitch into a mischievous grin, “Carlos San Fransisco is on the case.”

Sofia looks around the room and admits, “I have fireman carried more of the people in this room than I haven’t.”

Dovie/i holds the Shiba puppy in her arms, stroking Mochi’s head.

Seraphina nods to Gabriel, when she peers at her phone. “Oh, she’ll be at Inkwell. I promise.” She squeeeees happily at Sofia when the woman caves. “You are a hero, regardless!”

“Plus, you can fireman carry me anytime.” Seraphina admits, handing the leash to Sofia, so that she can get far more acquainted with her.

“Bring Pepe with you to the next auction then.” Celestine reasons, knuckles whitening around the clutch of her cane as she struggles to push herself up to her feet. “If he does not come, I will bid in his honor. In the meantime I will be needing to assess whether King will be safe as a pet owner or I need to find another home for Princess here.” Celestine tucks the Pomeranian in her purse… lips curling into a conflicted frown. Suddenly she seems to be eyeing the little Pomeranian with some degree of somber longing.

Sofia thumbs out a wad of restaurant worker cash, easily mistaken for stripper cash, and thumbs it over to Seraphina, getting her paid before she scoops up Dot into her arm and looks the dog face to face, nose booping and smiling. “Alright you. We’ll get you settled in soon.”

Seraphina uses a dalmatian 42puppy/i: 55The dalmatian responds quickly to familiar cues, tail wagging in anticipation.

“Well.” Navessa starts to get to her feet, still undecided on which puppy would be best to take home. Which is good! She has time to figure it out! “I guess I will have to be at the Inkwell, then.” She squints at all the dogs. “None of you get any less cute, you hear me?”

Sofia uses a dalmatian 42puppy/i: 55The dalmatian stretches with feline grace, spine arching in a fluid motion.

Obadiah scritches Moose’s ears as everyone starts to pack up.

Obadiah uses a 30curious beagle 30puppy/span/b: 30The puppy howls when seeking connection, voice rising in insistent waves./span>

Dovie uses a 66sharp 60shiba 66puppy60/b/span>: 80The shiba inu settles into silence like it was born there, breath slow and steady./span>

It wouldn’t be the first time, probably, that Seraphina has accepted a wad of cash, and she accepts it easily, even giving it a home in her cleavage.

Laine rises, after a time, without help of hands, from her cross-legged position. She gathers up her bag and, without more fanfare than a quick, “Be seein’ ya.” she wanders off.

Dovie uses a 66sharp 60shiba 66puppy60/b/b>: 80The shiba inu flicks its ears at soft sounds, body poised and listening./span>

Seraphina helps her worker round up the remaining puppies, leashes on and then ready to pack up to return to the shelter for the night. “Thank you all! I really appreciate you all so much. I could kiss you all for your generosity!”

Sofia looks at the bottle that Seraphina passes her as if unclear what it is, and then she squiiiints at the label and lets out a quiet, “Ohhhh. Huh. Weird, must have fallen out or something.”

Obadiah nods to Dovie, “Seems correct.” He pauses at the second question then and pulls up his phone, “I am going to get you set up with a subscribe and save of some premium dog food. I’ll text your house keeper.” He shakes his head, “Steak is a rare treat.”

Dovie nods gratefully at Obadiah, “Thank you!” she hums at Obadiah, “What can I not give him? The cats get tuna and salmon as a raw diet.”

Sofia gives the dalmatian she cradles a few chin scratches and says, “Don’t worry, I will make sure Tony saves you some pizza bones for your welcome home gift.”

Navessa wiggles her fingers over her shoulder as she starts heading toward the exit as well. “I will come and visit Dot soon, Sofia.”

Seraphina tells Gabriel, “I guess that just means you have to swing by here more often.”
