(Vasilisa’s Monday afternoon odd encounter(Vasilisa):Vasilisa)

[Mon Jun 29 2026]

In a narrow foyer with polished dark wood floors
The entrance hall is narrow but inviting, with dark wooden floors polished
to a low shine. A brass coat rack holds several well-worn scarves and a
wide-brimmed hat. On a small table rests a bowl of polished stones and a
neatly folded note with contact information. A subtle sigil is etched into
the doorframe, a ward against more curious intruders.

It is about 70F(21C) degrees. The mist is heaviest At Birch and Woodcrest

Sylvia evidently is in the process of leaving the house. She adjusts her dress and smiles into the small mirror that is affixed to the wall next to the coat rack. Her phone beeps and lazily she pulls it out of her handbag to check it.

just as Sylvia is about to leave, a vehicle drives up to her house, the figure stepping out rather bland in a manner that is curated. “Good evening, miss.” is the low drawl, oddly cultured, despite the man’s appearance.

Sylvia looks up from her phone that stayed in her hand as she walked through the door. “Good evening…”, her response comes, a bit reserved. She closes the door behind her and walks up to the fence gate, her heeled sandals clacking on the paved path.

Sylvia reaches for the fence gate and rests a hand on it, her curious gaze on the man. “The college is a block further…”, she points northward up the street, as if assuming he wants to know directions.

the figure smiles, almost upon reflex, a hand reaching up to adjust the sweater. it would seem that he’d already had a pitch prepared, yet as Sylvia mentions the college, the demeanor of the figure shifts, as if beneath the skin of humanity, there’s something more that’s learning on the job. “Ah, how kind of you, miss.” he reaches up to rub the back of his neck. “I am in fact, rather new to the city. international student perks, unfortunately. I was hoping you could give me a rundown of the area perhaps?”

Sylvia glances at her phone to check the time in a very passive-aggressive manner before rolling her eyes. “Ugh, sure”, she answer with a fake smile but does nothing to hide the annoyance in her voice. “What do you wanna know? There’s the university up ahead, the student union too, uhm… a cafe and… eh… the city park… are you looking for something in particular?”
