Navessa’s WU: Haunted Paintings
October 31 @ 12:00 am - 2:00 am
Location:
Calendar Type: Educational
Description
Have you heard of how paintings can be haunted? Cursed? Not terribly unlike the painting of Vigo the Carpathian in Ghostbusters or even the Portrait of Dorian Gray.
This class will discuss haunted and cursed paintings. How do they come to be this way? Can they be exorcised? How does one safely identify, store, or even view such a thing?
Students are asked to bring (copies only, no originals) examples of cursed or haunted paintings to class to discuss. They can be real, assumed, and even from pop culture (minus the two referenced). Faculty are welcome to observe. Non-students or faculty are asked to request permission to attend in advance (text 710-0583).
