July 7 @ 5:00 am - 7:00 am
Location: Windermere University- Drama room
Calendar Type: Educational
Description
Theatre time once again, and we’re moving forward with our establishing the basics methodology.
In the previous two classes, we covered:
* Objectives, motivations, obsticals and subtexts.
* We established an original protagonist; An aspiring knight who desired the hand of the princess. There was only one problem. Her parents disapproved of her as they wanted a son, and the princess was already in love with a childhood friend.
* We developed potential side characters to fill out our piece and direct our plot; The princess, the young rival of our protagonist, a mentor, parents of the protagonist, the king, and possible antagonists.
In this lesson, we will build upon that some more.
We’ll set the stage, developing a plot outline.
If we have time, we’ll also begin staging the piece– Theatre in the round, classical, experimental.
