Can the ‘Custom Ranged’ stat be used to simulate offensive sorcery or sorcery-like abilities? Previously, sorcery was a no but sorcery-like abilities was a grey area. With the shift to the stat requiring the usage of a ranged weapon and the specification in the helpfile that it represents exotic or unusual weapons, it would seem to indicate that this is now a hard no, but it seems best to get clarification directly so people know how to behave.
For example, I’m playing a T3 dark magic character, (if this even works) I use a knife and thrown weapons for my base ranged discipline then custom ranged “Hemokinesis” and RP slicing my palms and throwing blood whips and blood bullets and other anime nonsense at people. Am I being a bad?
Or, I’m playing a T2 and have custom ranged. I RP my character being able to control shadows, or tendrils of mist, or something similar to attack people in a way similar to the above. Am I being a bad?
What about exotic non-weapons, for example: I’m playing a T2 who runs a hot dog cart in town. I’m bored and have too much RP XP on my hands so I give him custom ranged discipline and name it ‘Kielbasa Slinging’. I then proceed to run around with a kielbasa weapon in my hand beaming people in the head with sausage until they’re unconscious. Am I being a bad?
