So revisiting a couple character ideas that I had in the past, I stumbled upon one in which the character was so reliant on Hypernatural Regen and tried to incorporate its flavor into roleplay. Having said that, right now there’s this helpfile that says no roleplay should imitate political thuggery without actually running the command, and that got me thinking.
How solid should this premise be if it’s self targetted instead of aimed at another character/player?
I know public opinion of yourself isn’t going to be great if you go around severing your own limbs, but surely it can be something that happens once or twice, so, are we expected to run the command and lose political capital? Or is it something we can just play out so long as we are consistant with it in roleplay?
I know death for instance has other effects other than the political capital lost, like influence loss or guest timers reset, so how viable is to play into that?
I guess it all comes down to what could one pass as flavor and not breaking the political thuggery rule if they picked the legend.
Could the character break its own finger?
Could it sever a limb in order to escape a tight situation?
Could they play as dying and reviving a situation?
Does it matter if it’s on or off screen?
Where do we draw the line if anywhere at all?
