There are pretty wide ranges of karma earned from encounters and plots. I would say a lot of people do these in hopes of providing fun content. I think more people take their earned karma as some kind of judgement/commentary on their SRing skills than they should.

    1. What is the average expected karma for an encounter?
    2. What is the average expected karma for a plot?
    3. If people are personally seeing lower payouts what advice would you give them?
    4. Do the number of sessions affect the karma payout for plots?
    5. Do the number of clues collected by participants affect the karma payout for plots?
    6. Does the discovery of a relic on a plot affect the karma payout for the plot?
    7. Does running content for the same people incur a penalty on karma payout for encounters or plots?
    8. Does the AI judge theme or other criteria when awarding karma for encounter or plots?

Encounter base is about 1000, plot about 12000.
The number of sessions does impact it.
    The number of clues doesn’t.
    Relics don’t.
Running for the same people doesn’t.
The more you run things the lower the rewards though, so people running plots on cooldown will get less per plot than people doing so more sporadically.
It’s assessed over several categories independentally and then the scores are combined, the categories are stuff like narrative flow, player agency, cohension and believability, story arc resolution, writing quality, interesting moments, and some anti-scores like fluff or padding.
