Linked Storyideas

Can you have storyideas that are linked together in a chain? For example:

Plot 1: A Heist, where the PCs rob a red gemstone from castle in Bavaria that is the domain of a vampire, delivering the gemstone to a Grey broker in Bayview.

Plot 2: An Investigation, where the vampire hunts in Bayview, trying to find the location of the broker and the stolen gemstone.

Plot 3: A Suppression, back to Bavaria where the PCs have to kill the vampire.

Each of those is different types of plot, but they all link together in an overarching story. Is that acceptable? Or should each plot be self-contained, with no links to other plots?

I would be interested to know the answer to this as well. know of one person who submitted a story idea because they didn’t have the idea of the second part until -after- they’d completed the plot and though Nova did approve it, was told it should have all been all in one plot and the plot type for the storyidea was different than the first
