There used to be a help file describing what kinds of story ideas would be denied and what would be accepted, but it wasn’t applicable to the new plot system and is now gone. I’m seeking a little guidance so we can write storyideas that get approved.

1.) What are the standards, generally, for story ideas to be denied?

2.) Are there specific things to avoid in story ideas? Specific things to include to increase the chance of approval?

3.) Is it significant how many active plots there are when approving or denying story ideas, how often you have recently run plots, or any other factor unrelated to the content of the story idea?

Related to this (and based on a conversation on OOC):

4.) Would you prefer short, single-paragraph bullet point storyideas that just cover the main thrust? Or would you prefer longer, multi-paragraph storyideas with fulsome detail? What is the ideal length/format of a storyidea?

I’d say when there is a lot of storyideas/plots in general, I’m a bit pickier but I don’t think it makes a huge difference.

Generally, if something is denied it’s because:
    A) There’s little to no detail.
    B) It reasonably should’ve been a subpart of another plot instead of a whole new plot.
    C) It creates some lore that would meaningfully effect the game, like it’s changing the lore of an existing location or thing or whatever else like that.
