Temporary favor items

With Gemstones have turned up to have a shelf life of six months before they need to be renewed; Does feycloth have a temporary shelf-life? What about otherworldly pets? Tattoos? Are there other items that need favor maintenance?

Hi, I am really really hoping that this is not an actual change that went into effect. However, if it is a real change and if this is something you are intent on keeping, Nova, I would ask two things:

1) that players have a command that allows them to check how much time is left on a favor item
2) that the mention of this favor item being temporary and needing to be renewed be put into a help file

I literally would have had no idea this was necessary unless I saw this post. As I know many gemstones in particular are gifted for IC reasons, it would be a shame for players to gift a meaningful item only for it to disappear on them without warning. I sincerely worry that will affect morale.

All favor items have an expiration, tattoos don’t.
This has always been the case though it’s not a change.

You can use market renew (item) to renew anything for 80% of the cost and should get alerts when they’re within 24 hours of expiring.

I think the expiration timers are fairly generous but I didn’t want to create a situation where the game just filled up with favor items over time and they lost their specialness.
