Looking at other fabled characters’ auras, I usually see a line that says your aura “shows telltale signs of being fabled.”

I initially heard the term used in RP but more subtly. People would refer to it vaguely. As someone playing a Fabled character who can see other people’s fabledness but not her own, I just try to keep it classy by not forcefully rubbing the actual term in that Fabled character’s face as if it was game mechanic verbage.

Sort of like using mechanical terms of, “I need to get two more spaces over to the southwest so I’ll be in optimal shooting range for my rifle,” in an emote during a raid, or noting, “I can help you out with that ritual because I have four focus points in arcane!” during an IC scene, and even things said by characters like, “Let’s keep this conversation in line with the current content warnings.”

Sadly, the way people have been mentioning this and other such things lately has been like this. ^ It is cringe to me too, but at the same time I wonder if that’s just how this game is supposed to be played now.

As someone who’s put all her energy into just 1 college character, it takes a certain flavour to be “interesting enough” so that other students would want to engage in more college RP. Hester’s made some attempts but has been shot down IC, which is fine. It just felt like there was no real interest from majority of the student roster in anything that was being done so far.
