in reply to: Invitation & Higher Tiers #25594
Let me preface again by saying that I accept and am willing to play out the consequences of invitation. I am not upset at invitation as a concept.
From what I have experienced in the course of a week leads me to this: I think the personal 1 on 1 private scenes with said higher tiers should increase a personal invite between the two, rather than a general invite. General invite could be handled by the bargaining system itself. Or, maybe both, but general at a much slower rate of return when rping 1 on 1 and even slower if rping in a group.
But in the last 72 hours, I have increased from i3 to i6. Last night I was able to bargain purity. I blew through 80K (ish) RPexp, to end up at …. i5. First, I feel like I wasted 60k (ish) trying to bargain purity when as an i3 and each attempt failed. I was told ‘there is a cool down’ and yet I had been at i3 for months with no bargains made for quite some time (time period unknown). How long is the ‘cool down’ exactly? If it’s a cool down, maybe take half of what it usually takes, but at 20-22k a pop, it feels a little outrageous. Second, I spent that 80K last night to barely make a dent (admittedly, half-amusingly getting a callback about desperately trying to save what little purity she had left). I had been at i5 until said T3 logged in, walked into her room, and we shared maybe 3 emotes each. I went to i6 at that point.
That does not feel viable. And this is my concern.
in reply to: Invitation & Higher Tiers #25399I just wasted 40K of RPExp trying to bargain purity at I3, and both times it ‘failed’ but it sure ate the RPexp. Even if she were a high i3, you’d think 40K would have lowered it a little. But no, the message was: You struggle to bargain for purity, the darkness resisting your efforts. I understand that if you rp with high tiers, your invitation rises, I’m not arguing that it shouldn’t, their influence rubs off on you. But if you want to, I don’t know, RP in a RP game, maybe the tools that are there to help with that should work. Or if it fails, take half of the cost instead of all of it.
in reply to: Invitation & Higher Tiers #25048As someone who can also be tiershifted, I was recently shifted down to 1.5. And i cannot use bargain purity at 1.5 to bargain down my invite. Now my character is only at I3 at the moment, but I rp with a T3 a lot, and my time with T2s has done nothing to lower my invite that has been an i3 for at least a month. I worry about using bargain again for strength and get boosted to something atronomical.
I think that moral tier and invite should be separated somehow when it comes to bargaining purity at the very least. Wouldn’t a moral tier 1.5 want to lower their invite.
in reply to: Windermere RP #24809In an attempt to give the students a place to congregate and rp in a student union environment, until the Uni is given a cafeteria or other spots with interactive places, I have created a ‘Windermere Student Union’ across the street from the University. I am still working on putting items in it for sale, but there is a cafeteria that will have food this week. The plan is to allow some teachers to have access to put in text books and lecture notes for a small price, provide ‘uniforms’ if people want to give that a go, give people a study hall (though I feel that is probably less needed, as the Uni has plenty of space and rooms dedicated for that, and some recreational activities.
This won’t be a forever shop, I don’t think, but it is available for the time being. Please feel free to use it until some of the spaces in the Uni feel more useable.

in reply to: Shop/Store Profits #20544My payout was 4 bucks last week. But I also only have a shop compared to a store. I also don’t know how much of the influence earned is from rp in the shop and what is just me doing my normal rp.
in reply to: Encounters #19555I had a scene where i ended up just an SR since I flubbed up on the encounter and accidentally stopped the encounter before it even began. It was in a bedroom I was transported to. I used emit the entire time to not put my character in the scene, however, walking down just put my actual character in the other’s bedroom. So, some clarity would be nice!
I personally would like to see it ‘dry up’ so to speak, if at all possible — leading to RP avenues.
