Kates Odd Encounter Sr Autumn 240414

In Repentance House, Kate experiences a chilling and bewildering encounter. What begins as a normal morning quickly escalates when her phone glitches, and an icy chill engulfs the room, signaling the onset of something supernatural. Words and symbols unfamiliar to her appear on her device as she hears an ominous feminine hiss declaring, "It's my turn to play." An unseen force compels her to stand, and when she tries to flee the room, she’s confronted by a black-haired woman in kitty pajamas, puzzled by the sudden drop in temperature. The disembodied voice reveals a sinister intent, speaking of punishment for unnamed "fools," and when Kate's hand raises of its own accord, it becomes clear that she's under the control of an angry spirit.

The situation escalates as the black-haired woman, now revealed to be knowledgeable in the supernatural, returns with a tome aimed at confronting the spirit. Through a tense exchange, it's disclosed that the spirit is a Yokai, seeking revenge through Kate for injustices tied to the "Dynasty." Despite a violent struggle where Kate, still possessed, physically strikes the woman attempting to help her, the chant progresses. The spirit's icy grip begins to wane, leaving cryptic warnings of its allies’ continued vigilance before finally being expelled. The black-haired woman assures Kate it was all a dream, causing the events to blur in Kate's memory. Despite the woman's reassuring words and the suggestion of a dream-induced confusion, lingering doubts and unanswered questions haunt Kate, primarily concerning the Dynasty and the likelihood of the spirit's return. The episode concludes with both women seeking normalcy after a confrontation that blurs the lines between reality and the supernatural.

In the prettily-decorated fourthbedroom of Repentance House
Uniform in size with its counterparts, this bedroom is an oasis of calm, where azure blue and white dominate the decor. The walls, a soft white, are brought to life by accolades and photographs of scholar achievements. A window trimmed in azure blue drapes allows for a view that, while unremarkable, is suffused with daylight that accentuates the crisp, white bedding of the full-sized bed against the far wall.

The bed itself is an embodient of understated elegance, its whinte linens pristine and smooth, detailed with delicate azure embroidery that echoes the house's colors. Above it, white fairy lights offer a subtle luminescence, casting a soft academic glow over the adjacent study nook. Here, a white desk stands, organized with academic texts and a sophisticated computer setup for heavy coding and gaming.

It is morning, about 48F(8C) degrees, and there are a few dark grey stormclouds in the sky.

(Your target is possessed by an angry spirit that is forcing them to act out and putting themselves and/or others at risk. They must either defeat it or find a way to calm it down.
)
Kate smiles.

Kate is just relaxing and chilling on the bed browsing on her phone.

A quiet morning in Repentance House besides the occasional footsteps of its residents outside Kate's door. While the young woman relaxes, she would feel a chill as the screen of her phone glitches. The room begins to grow colder until her left hand suddenly freezes.

Kate blinks rapidly at her phone as it glitches on her, feeling cold in a room where she is typically comfortable, she gasps as she notices her hand going cold not thinking to much of it she gives her phone a shake and says, "What the hell."

The glitch on her phone turns into several pixels and the cold feeling spreads onto Kate's body. The pixels then start to form foreign symbols until the woman would find herself standing up. "Ahhhhhh, another one," a feminine hiss with an icy tone rings around the room until it starts to cackle. "It's my turn to play."

Kate face shifts when the phone turn into symbols she hasn't seen before, Saying, "What?! Who's there? Play ? What the actual fuck!?" leaping up from the bed to her feet quickly she runs to the door and attempts to leave the room.

There is another cackle and the door opens before Kate. The cold lingers as the voice speaks. "There are things to do," it tells Kate, growing harsher. "I have been sent here, to these lands.... Punishment for the fools." Outside the door, a black-haired woman, waking up and in her kitty pajamas, pauses on her way to the bathroom and shivers from the chill. "Who put the AC on?" the lady mutters.

"What things?!" Kate asks the voice looking to the black-haired woman outside the door, "Do you hear that as well as feel the cold?!" Kate looks at the black-haired woman with a bit of fear but wonder.

The black-haired woman hears Kate and shakes her head. "I don't hear anything besides you," she answers, turning to face the other woman. "What's going on? I have my book back in my room."

"Don't listen to her," the icy hiss speaks towards Kate's ear. "The fools who dare to take over must be punished." Soon after, her handis suddenly raised up, and the black-haired woman steps back upon notice.

"What fools who dare to take over?" Kate respond in a quiet whisper to the icy hiss, looking to the black-haired woman stepping back Kate says, "What do you hear it now?!? See it?!?" Kate asks the black-hair woman intensely.

"Oh shit!" The black-haired woman's eyes go wide as she barely avoids a slap from the possessed hand. "Stay here, I'll be right back." The woman turns to run back where she came from and after a few minutes, she returns to Kate with a black tome in her hands. "This really shouldn't be happening to someone like you," the black-haired lady tells the other woman, opening the tome and quickly flipping through the pages until she stops. "A spirit," she mutters before she chants, and the temperature around the women grows colder with the voice hissing.

Kate asks the woman, "What kind of spirit. Apparently it wants to play?!" she pauses briefly looking to the woman and states, "Its talking about the fools who dare take over and punishing them! What does that mean?" Kate says a bit more rapidly and with haste.

"...I see. A foreign one not from this country," the woman tells Kate in a grim tone. "Yokai, to be exact. Given that you seem new, this is a nightmare that will soon be over." Facing the other woman, the black haired woman shivers again and finishes her chant before she looks up. "Spirit, I can hear you now," she then speaks. "Why are you here possessing this girl?"

"I have been sent here," the voice hisses, frost beginning the form on the door. "By members of the Dynasty. I was killed by those who opposed us, but my spirit lingers for revenge, so I was brought here by a ritual."

"You have no place here," the black-haired woman tells the spirit before she starts another chant. "Leave this woman's body and begone from this world." She is met with a heavy chill and Kate's hands reaches out towards her, as if ready to strike.

"I don't know what I'm doing!" Kate says as her fist balls up and hits the woman doing the chant I start to laugh wickedly as her fist connects with her face.

The black-haired woman rears back in pain, blood dripping down her nose while she grimaces. But she continues her chanting and the hissing grows louder. "Foolish woman," the voice speaks while the cold is fading slowly. "You tell our enemies... We are watching. Ready to strike these lands..."

Kate feels the urge to strike her again and again! But holds back with great restraint fighting whatever is in her. She brings herself to ask the question outloud, "Why me?!" she asks to the spirit, Kate then bursts out with wicked laughter feeling the spirit inside her.

"Because I needed a body to send the message ourselves," the spirit cackles, its presence becoming distant. "The end grows near, but the Dynasty will soon deal with their invaders before that time comes. They do not know what they are messing with." The icy cackling fades as soon as the black-haired woman finishes chanting, leaving echoes while the area's temperature goes back to normal and Kate regains control once again.

Closing the tome, the woman steps closer towards Kate and with a gaze into the other woman's eyes, she would feel like she woke up from a dream. "Are you alright?" The black-haired woman then asks.

"Honestly..." Kate pauses briefly while catching her breath letting out a few heavy puffs and inhales sharply before continuing, "I have more questions than anything! Like what Dynasty?!? Is this thing coming back?!?" Kate stops talking before she hyperventilates to catch her breath giving the black-haired woman a chance to respond.

Kate adds after a sharp inhale, "Are you okay?!"

"Shit, is this amnesia thing working?" The woman mutters under her breath and gazes longer into Kate's eyes. The events Kate had just witnessed would soon fade away like a nightmare long forgotten. "I am fine," the black-haired woman says, using the back of her hand to wipe the blood off her nose while she tucks the tomb under her arm. "You must have a bad dream. I found you sleeping while standing and I must have bumped into you."

"Wait... what... that was all a dream!" Kate exclaims blinkly her eyes rapidly in disbelief that all of that could have just been a dream when it felt so real! Kate notices the tomb being tucked under the dark-haired girls arm, giving a noticeable glare.

The black-haired woman glances left and right before she grins and quickly nods. "Yes. Yes, it was," she replies to Kate before she hikes a thumb towards the bathroom. "I'm going to wash up and eat breakfast. Bye now." After that, she leaves Kate be and goes on her way.

Kate gives a nod to the black-haired woman as she walks out the door, "Alright I will see you later." Kate closes the door and heads to bed exhausted.
