The Allied Underground, also known as simply the Undergrounders or the Tau are a group of human criminals opposed to supernatural governorship. Mostly consisting of thieves and smugglers, the Undergrounders make their living outside the legal system in order to avoid ever being under the control of supernaturally managed governments. They also tend to choose mostly supernaturals to steal from whenever given the choice.
The Undergrounders also tend to engage in petty acts of resistance against supernaturals and supernatural groups whenever they can get away with it, such as sabotage or vandalism, although they keep well short of outright terrorist like acts or murder, walking the fine line between resisting and declaring war. There are rumors that several anti-supernatural terrorists are amongst their number, but if so they make a large effort to conceal such from the outside world and give them new, more reasonable identities while in the group.
The Undergrounders are particularly fond of grouping up to raid supernaturals while they're traveling alone like old west bandits, either robbing the supernatural or kidnapping them and taking them back to their facility. These individuals are then either ransomed back or held in prisons and forced to do generally demeaning labor such as creating counterfeit goods.
