Combat Mechanics

Attack Damage: Attacking Discipline * (difference between optimum and actual ranges/optimum range) With ranged attacks, damage drops to 0 as the distances moves towards max range, damage drops towards 50% as the attack moves towards minimum range. Damage is 0 at melee range.

For Melee + Strength + Martial Arts - Dodging

For Ranged + Dexterity + Combat Training - Evading. Optimum range = Max Range/2

- if the attacking discipline is the target's primary melee or ranged discipline, damage halved. + or - affects from specials.

Max Number of Specials per discipline: <10 = 0, < 30 = 1, < 60 = 2, < 100 = 3, < 150 = 4, < 210 = 5, < 280 = 6, < 360 = 7, < 450 = 8, < 550 = 9 else = 10.

Experience: 100 * discipline used/highest discipline. For ranged experience * 1 - (difference between optimum and actual ranges/optimum range) If ranged attack and highest discipline is melee exp + 20% If melee attack and highest discipline is ranged exp + 20%
