Progression Mechanics

Experience gained: 100 * discipline used/highest discipline. For ranged experience * 1 - (difference between optimum and actual ranges/optimum range) If ranged attack and highest discipline is melee exp + 20% If melee attack and highest discipline is ranged exp + 20%

Every social has a 33% chance to award 1 RP exp. Emotes/says/whispers etc award 2 RP exp plus an amount equal to the number of characters in the emote or say over 100.

Every person above 1 other in the room with you adds 50% RPexp, RPing by yourself takes away 50%. The biggest increase attainable this way is 300%

Civilians gain RPexp at 200% the normal rate.

The cost to raise a defensive discipline is (total of all defensive disciplines) times (total of all disciplines) sqaured divided by 25.

The cost to raise an offensive discipline is (level of discipline to be raised) times (total of all disciplines) squared divided by 10.

The cost to raise a skill is 1.15 to the power of (total skill points spent) times the total number of skillpoints to be spent times 100.

To raise a skill from 3 to 5 would require 9 points total, 4 to raise it to 4 and 5 to raise it to 5.

Both types of costs are then multiplied by a static multiplier for balancing.
