Wars

The ability to wage war is one of the most important that a faction has. Wars may be targeted at individuals or other factions. Each war starts with 10 manpower, every hour that a war is active the manpower will go up by one. However only one war can gain the manpower at a time and it always goes to the one with the least current manpower.

Wars cause battles to occurs, battles can only occur at night because of the clandestine nature of the factions. The chance of a battle occuring is the difference between the manpower and the distance to the faction's HQ in minutes as displayed in roomlist.

So if you were 30 minutes from the factions HQ the war would have to have manpower of 30 before it could reach you, and if the manpower was at 50 there would be a 20% chance of a battle. Battles are also half as likely to occur indoors.

The number of soldiers for any battle is the manpower divided by 10, a 30 manpower war would create squads of three soldiers each. Every fifth soldier is a more powerful lieutenant.

The number of soldiers can also be decreased by the security of the location, being inside an HQ will automatically decrease it by 10, while being inside a house will decrease it by a combination of the house's defensive stats.

Players may be killed while offline if the target of a war but this requires that the war's manpower have built up fairly high, that the player has logged in since the war started, and that the player has not logged in for at least an hour at game night time during the past 48 hours.
