In the heart of the Amazon, a saga unfolded as a team of intrepid adventurers embarked on a mission to intercept a large, frog-shaped jade Muiraquita from the legendary pre-Columbian Lost City of the Monkey God. Mission: Intercept a large, frog-shaped jade Muiraquita and bring it back to the extraction point.
Deep in the jungles of the Amazon lies the legendary pre-Columbian Lost City of the Monkey god, inside is said to by many treasures, but few more important than the giant jade Muiraquita that lies in the heart of the city. While many such charms were created to be gifted to the lovers of the Icamiaba women warriors, this large charm was created by the Icamiaba not to protect a man, but rather an entire city.

Meridith races across the field toward her cover
Lauren laughs, and then badly covers it up with a cough. She leaves the surveying up to the experts though, content to chill behind this here rock that she's claimed as her home for the time being.

The mercenaries, having secured the giant jade Muiraquita, were making their way out of the ancient city when the sound of approaching footsteps echoed through the ruins. The Captain held up a fist, signaling his men to halt. They took cover behind a large, twisted tree.
"Looks like we've got company, boys," the Captain growled, his eyes narrowing as he caught sight of the approaching treasure hunters. "And they don't seem too friendly."
The second-in-command, crouched behind a moss-covered statue, chuckled darkly. "They must've followed us here, thinking they could swoop in and take our prize. Fools."

As Sam takes a step her foot lands on a seemingly innocuous stone, which sank slightly under her weight. A sharp click echoed through the ruins, followed by a low, ominous rumble.
Suddenly, the ground beneath them began to shift and crack. Ancient mechanisms, long dormant, sprang to life. The stone floor split open, revealing a hidden chamber filled with a writhing mass of crimson. They can only watch in horror as hundreds of deadly red snakes poured out of the chamber, their scales glistening in the dappled sunlight. The serpents, disturbed from their slumber, were agitated and aggressive, their forked tongues flicking the air as they sought out their prey.
Harriet glances over at Samantha, just as she's attacked. She readies hersef and shoots at a swarm of snakes from a pit trap. With the ground shaking beneath, she blinks heavily, seeing all of those snakes emerge.

A deep, grinding sound fills the air. The ancient stone statues of Icamiaba guardians, their features worn smooth by centuries of weathering, begin to move. Chunks of stone fall away as the statues tear themselves free from their pedestals, their eyes glowing with an otherworldly green light.
The guardians, each standing at least eight feet tall and wielding massive stone spears, turn their attention to the intruders. With a speed that belied their size and age, they charge forward, their footsteps shaking the ground.
Harriet cheers Lauren on. "Come on, Lauren - Queen of the Chickens!"

Mission: Intercept a large, frog-shaped jade Muiraquita and bring it back to the extraction point.
Deep in the jungles of the Amazon lies the legendary pre-Columbian Lost City of the Monkey god, inside is said to by many treasures, but few more important than the giant jade Muiraquita that lies in the heart of the city. While many such charms were created to be gifted to the lovers of the Icamiaba women warriors, this large charm was created by the Icamiaba not to protect a man, but rather an entire city.

"Looks like we've got company, boys," the Captain growled, his eyes narrowing as he caught sight of the approaching treasure hunters. "And they don't seem too friendly."
The second-in-command, crouched behind a moss-covered statue, chuckled darkly. "They must've followed us here, thinking they could swoop in and take our prize. Fools."

As Sam takes a step her foot lands on a seemingly innocuous stone, which sank slightly under her weight. A sharp click echoed through the ruins, followed by a low, ominous rumble.
Suddenly, the ground beneath them began to shift and crack. Ancient mechanisms, long dormant, sprang to life. The stone floor split open, revealing a hidden chamber filled with a writhing mass of crimson. They can only watch in horror as hundreds of deadly red snakes poured out of the chamber, their scales glistening in the dappled sunlight. The serpents, disturbed from their slumber, were agitated and aggressive, their forked tongues flicking the air as they sought out their prey.

A deep, grinding sound fills the air. The ancient stone statues of Icamiaba guardians, their features worn smooth by centuries of weathering, begin to move. Chunks of stone fall away as the statues tear themselves free from their pedestals, their eyes glowing with an otherworldly green light.
The guardians, each standing at least eight feet tall and wielding massive stone spears, turn their attention to the intruders. With a speed that belied their size and age, they charge forward, their footsteps shaking the ground.
Harriet cheers Lauren on. "Come on, Lauren - Queen of the Chickens!"

A deafening roar cuts through the chaos of the battle, echoing off the ancient stone walls. The ground trembles as something massive crashes through the dense jungle foliage.
Branches snap and trees topple as a gigantic ape, its fur a deep, rusty red, bursts into the clearing. Standing at least twenty feet tall, the beast beats its chest, its powerful muscles rippling beneath its shaggy coat.
With another earth-shaking roar, the ape charges forward, its massive fists slamming into the ground, leaving deep craters in their wake. It swats at the Icamiaba guardians, sending them flying like ragdolls, their stone bodies shattering against the ruins as it charges towards the group.
Lauren says "Oh, fuckin' hell."
