There are many stories of black cats following all kinds of witches around and that they bring bad omens and worse luck. Some say that these familiars are witches themselves or, perhaps, the witch's teacher. Silas is a capable shapeshifter and has taken the superstitions of old to heart, often following his apprentices as a black cat when his physical presence is more readily needed over his disembodied 'soul'. | Teacher
