A Battle In The Nightmare 240207

(A battle in the Nightmare)

[Tue Feb 6 2024]

At the Intersection of Prospect Street and Cromwell Avenue

It is night, about 16F(-8C) degrees, and there are a few dark grey stormclouds in the sky. There is a waning crescent moon.

Savannah thins her lips at Solomon's smile as she walks into the ritual chamber as well, watching doors be closed behind her, "So what is it we're doing down here tonight? I would prefer not to have to bleed myself again. Stick to things I'm a little more familiar with..."

Harriet gives a nod to Alexander, holding up her rifle.

Alexander says "Ah...fuck... "
Alexander says "Where's my armor...!"
There's a look around. "It seems someone is weak," Solomon says. "With me, Deputy."

Harriet gazes at Alexander, hmming softly. "Your items have been getting away from you as of late."

Alexander says "Yes, it's quite frustrating"
Solomon says "I hear you all out there."
"If they are weak, I am sure you can handle them yourself," Savannah says to Solomon as she shakes her head, taking a couple steps back, "I have no intention to fight anyone on your behalf this evening."

Harriet confesses, "I can only imagine. You may have to adjust your wardrobe a bit when you awaken."

"I suppose we'll see, won't we?" Solomon asks Savannah.

Harriet chuckles suddenly amusedly. "Ah..." she exhales that out. "What a time for armor to go hiding." With a pat to Alexander's shoulder, she gives it a firm squeeze after.

Alexander shivers a bit, and his cheeks brighten.

Savannah still looks a little confused as she glances around herself and sighs softly, getting herself situated, "I am sure you'll be able to handle whatever this is... I don't even know why, or how I got here? What is this place exactly?"

Solomon says "Come now, friends. Is hiding away so really what you need?"
"Oh, I know about the nightmare, but I just..." Savannah reaches up to rub at her face, sighing softly before she looks into the distance, squinting some, "I see. The timing on that is an awkward one, is it not? I feel like I recognize those voices."

Solomon says "The peril of walking to close to the night."
Solomon says "Miss Fairfax, Mr. Murphy -- are those your voices I hear?"
Harriet calls out, "Yes, it is us."

Alexander says "Harry, come on."
Solomon says "And how finds your evening?"
Harriet calls out, "Without armor. So, I shall suppose not entirely fabulous."

Alexander says "HARRY FOR GODS SAKE"
Solomon says "I am sorry."
Solomon says "This is nothing personal, of course. I don't have any particular opinion on your conflict with the Temple and the Hand."
Harriet asks, "Yes, Alexander?"

"You don't see me participating in the various conflicts between groups and I don't really intend to do this one," Savannah says to Solomon now as she looks around herself, placing a hand on her hip, her outfit is terrible. She has on a blouse, skirt and armor combination, that might have been at the recent fashion shows in Paris, but probably not. She sighs out, weapons about her body in some form or another as well, "I apologize now to anyone if they end up getting hurt. I had no intention of being here."

Alexander says "Just fucking tell them all my weaknesses!"
Solomon says "Savannah Bailey is with me. She was pulled in by accident, I think."
Harriet hmms, taking that notion quite literally. "He might be allergic to peanut butter!"

Solomon says "But so it is."
"Let me check to see if I have any epipens on me just in case," Savannah calls out into the darkness of the avoid, "It seems like there is, so I suppose we shall see, won't we?"

Alexander snatches out to pinch the back of Harriet's arm

Harriet nudges Alexander gently with an elbow in the ribs after the pinch to her arm. She's really strong. It probably hurts a bit.

Solomon says "Are you ready, Mr. Murphy? Miss Fairfax?"
Alexander exhales and casts his hand forth. "Alright let's do this."

Harriet stands next to Alexander, and she nods to him before raising her rifle and getting ready to take aim.

Alexander skips back a step, raising his pistol up.

Alexander moves to assist and hopefully not homicide!

Alexander rushes forward suddenly, grinning, he opens fire on Solomon. "Robo! Kick his ass!"

Harriet is amused by Alexander's fervor and she laughs a little, helplessly. "That's a good boy," she praises him... or the robot. Who knows? But she's firing off another shot.

Alexander blushes brightly, a little throw by that remark, but continues forward, firing upon Solomon.

Harriet warns Alexander, "You will shortly be on your own," as she takes further hits. "But it is always an honour and a pleasure to fight with you, good sir." Then, she's once again firing at Solomon.

Alexander grits his teeth. "Damnit...! Hang on!" he calls. He rushes in towards the fire bleeding bastard.

Harriet takes in a deep, but slow inhale, and then she exhales, giving Alexander a faint nod before she's taking aim yet again at Solomon.

Harriet fades out of the nightmare.

Alexander grits his teeth as his partner vanishes. He continues darting through the Nightmare, firing upon Solomon, refreshing clips gracefully as he makes his approach

Solomon steps back -- summoning fire again, now to rain down upon Alexander.

Savannah seems to realize who might have brought a fire-breathing hellhound into the world after shooting it once. She watches Alexander bravely take on Solomon once his partner in the fight is gone.

"Your horns are appropriate, you look like one ugly fucker," Alexander bellows. "Oh and about the armor thing!? I lied!" He snarls continuing to try to keep fire on him.

A low chant -- and then the thrust of flame, at Alexander. "I know you lied," Solomon says, his basso voice full of cruelty.

Savannah can't help but chuckle at Alexander's comment as the man continues to fight valiantly within the nightmare.

Alexander fades out of the nightmare.
