On the Walkway Leading to the Front Steps of Town Hall
This sidewalk has recently been paved and placed, with mortar in between
the thick slabs of concrete. Some grass has attempted to grow between,
sprouting out thickly here and there, though it still remains in good
condition. Some casual indigenous wildflowers have been planted to either
side of the sidewalk, blooming during the warmer months and resting as dark
brown patches in the winter. A few trees offer shade here and there.
It is night, about 25F(-3C) degrees, and the sky is covered by dark grey stormclouds. It's snowing. There is a waxing gibbous moon.
Yasmin flashes hSD deputy a bright, too-bright smile, seeming all too innocent when she slips over a couple of bills. "Hello, officer," she greets the deputy politely, blinking up at him. "That report about a breakin was just someone misunderstood, right? The old woman who saw them was clearly seeing things. She is very old." She expects agreement in this case. "I am sure there won't be anything coming of it, yes?"
"People are just very paranoid these days," Yasmin hums, casually continuing as though they're just having a normal discussion here, nothing sketchy going on thank you very much. "But nobody has to be arrested over a misunderstanding, I am sure."
