Resistance recruits in Haven
Fliers have been posted in Haven with messages like: "One way forward," "Stand and fight," and "Do or die." There's an anonymous email address posted on the corner of each flier. Hundreds of them have been left in businesses or on utility poles. If traced, the email address is a throwaway account with no history of activity, tied to a server in Haven.
Hours after those fliers started to appear - spread across town like wildfire, from no single source - there is a broadcast.
A mechanical voice speaks, cold and artificial:
"People of Haven. You have survived in this town by keeping a low profile. This has worked for years, as you weathered the threats that blew through town. But that is no longer enough. Sarkur has come to bring the end of the world. The final battle will be upon us soon, and unless he is stopped, all of you will die. There is no running from the destruction, no safety in the event of his victory. You have been marked for death.
"The time for keeping your head down has passed. There is only way forward: stand and fight. If you have a family, if you have a home, if you have a life that you have built, you must defend it. You might think that you are weak, that you are powerless. But there is a reason that the supernatural has been hidden. Enough hands, enough soldiers, and it is possible to make a difference.
"You are not alone in this battle. The Resistance will fight. Many of us will die, but we will fight.
"With us, you have a chance. A chance to survive, a chance to hold on to what is near and dear to you. A chance to keep what you have built with your lives, and see where your path leads.
"Come and fight alongside us in the final battle.
"Come and join the Resistance."
The broadcast dissolves into static.
The first Sleeper Awakes
The first Sleeper has awoken. Codenamed Kaiju by the supernatural world at large, the creature is over a thousand feet tall. No weapons of any sort seem to have affected it, but constant combat has kept it drawn away from Japan, though its awakening and subsequent tantrum has unfortunately caused a tsunami that has killed hundreds of civilians. The casualty rate for Dynasty and Venetian soldiers are rising every moment. One thing is for certain: the Venetian treaties no longer matter. The world knows of the supernatural's existence.
A Youtube video that was quickly taken off the web shows Kaiju. She looks entirely human, actually, alarmingly so. Her features aren't anything special, she looks plain of face, though her body is incredibly muscular. She's naked and her hair goes to her waist, having formed into dreadlocks. Her features are Asian, though her skin is somewhat darker in color.
The second Sleeper Awakes
The second Sleeper has awoken. Called Eimlaq by the supernatural community, it's arrival caused an earthquake that rocked the continent of Africa, as well as a freak tidal wave. While thousands died, Josh Owens pathed in with an instrument that managed to put the large giant to sleep. Like Kaiju, it was a woman, with waist-length dreadlocked hair, plain features, and lots of muscle. Her ethnicity is certainly African, and when she fell, she fell backwards into the ocean. The second tidal wave killed thousands more, and Josh Owens' fate remains unknown...
The third Sleeper Awakes
The third Sleeper has awoken. They call him Atlas. Atlas is a hundred feet shorter then the other Sleepers that have woken, but is male and appears to have larger muscle mass. Atlas is currently being held off by the Kalopsian Mysteries, a demigod faction that swears loyalty to the House of Zeus. Venetian forces have been deployed there as well, and they await the arrival of one of the instruments to put it to sleep. During that time, however, it has already Killed millions of people, having rose directly beneath Athens.
The fourth Sleeper Awakes
The fourth Sleeper has awoken. Called Jotunn, it is by far the most alien of the Sleepers, with skin entirely white, as well as it's hair and eyes. It also is about a thousand feet and half that again taller then the other giants as well, making it the most dangerous looking Sleeper yet. It isn't naked like the rest, but wearing clothes that seem to be made of fur that can only have been from large creatures that were in easy supply to be able to clothe such a monster. With none of the instruments in Norway, it is in the process of destroying Iceland completely, thousands upon thousands dying.
