1. Are all calendar event types treated the same in terms of mechanical advantages?
2. Do college type events count for political capital for boroughs?
3. From a mechanical perspective are successful events judged based on the RP that happened via LLM, the number of participants, the social standing of those participants, the length of the event? etc etc.
4. For the purpose of affecting GPAs and crediting College Staff do college type events affect these or is it just RP between a faculty character and a student character?

From what I can tell, no. In fact, college events don’t appear to count as events at all. They don’t even register in your lookup stats, and certainly aren’t counted as events attended for your faction or whatever. A great effort appears to have been made to ensure that all forms of college play are completely bereft of any value.

I’m pretty sure college events do nothing. They aren’t tied into any systems. You get whatever RPXP and faculty rank gain and (presumably) GPA that you get from interacting with other players, but the fact that it is a calendar event isn’t relevant. You could just as well have gone out for coffee with those characters. The system doesn’t recognize the work you do in any way whatsoever. There doesn’t appear to be any mechanical purpose to college events, no connection to any code, nothing. All it is is a way to denote what type of calendar event it is. There’s no underlying purpose beyond that.
Windermere is basically an illusion. It’s a collection of rooms and some very basic functionalities like ‘college roll’ to see who’s a student, but none of it is plugged into any systems because the entire thing is the product of prompting an LLM to do it. No human effort went into it.
AnonymousGuestOctober 12, 2025 at 2:22 amAnd while it could be argued that a student attending class shouldn’t contribute significantly to their faction’s political clout in the Ivory Quarter, professors maintaining positions of prominence at Windermere absolutely should. Any faction should have a vested interest in, and tangible benefits from, having members positioned at Windermere to influence young denizens, assess them for potential recruitment, and essentially being leaders of that sub-sphere. Unfortunately, not only do one’s efforts at Windermere count for nothing in any such regard, the game doesn’t even acknowledge that your events happened. College events do not count towards your ‘events hosted’ score, do not gain you anything besides the RPXP that your emotes earn you, and don’t help your faction in any way at all.
At least in previous iterations of Haven, there was some minor potential for tier progression in the faculty (though faculty characters were essentially hardcapped at T3), but that’s also gone now. Just the debatable satisfaction of playing the role, which is severely hampered by the fact that all of Windermere is simply the result of asking an AI to spit out the lore and room descriptions for a vaguely supernatural university, which means it ties into no other parts of the game at all and isn’t connected to any of the game’s mechanics or other features.
