If someone tries to imprint me with pressures A B C because they have successfully understood my character. I try and imprint resist A B C.
Should that not autolock or cost a lot to resist? In game currently it is auto resisting. I would think that if someone knows what I would guess, they would be rewarded for knowing my character not thwarted or am I misunderstanding what is going on here?
Makes sense and I thought that’s how it worked anyways… :/
I believe resisting imprints became free at some point, so it wouldn’t cost more, at least from what I know. I remember it happening once and someone mentioning it didn’t cost anything to resist, only costs the person trying the imprint.
Secondly, imprint locks are now behind an OOC consent wall. You get a message when someone tries and have to actually positively input, “Yes” for consent OOCly for it to work, or it actually autofails after 10 minutes of no input.
So I imagine both of these mechanics are just changed entirely.
Some people told me they did in fact get a cost for resisting an imprint.
Which is quite strange – I resisted multiple, including some I honestly expected to potentially coma my char, none of it cost me anything.
I petitioned it ages ago, it’s been a while but I thiiiink the response was ‘Not Enough Information’?
I remember thinking at the time it does seem like it’s unintended based on Nova’s response, but also I had no idea what he wants from me exactly so…
“I petitioned it ages ago, it’s been a while but I thiiiink the response was ‘Not Enough Information’?”
I started including time and date the issue popped up with bug reports. Since then I haven’t gotten a ‘needs more information’
I have gotten mixed results with imprint resists. Some have been free, some have had LF costs.
I have gotten “Not enough information” even with dates and timestamps for logs, so it’s not a foolproof system, definitely the way to go though.
As for imprints resisting costs, I have personally gotten them, and the one I did resist was somewhat hefty to do, around 16%. I’ve also heard from people that have resisted mine that the cost is still there, although it seems to be lower to the costs I remember from last iteration, so maybe if the price is small enough it just takes it as free? Not entirely sure, but given some people still have costs, I am inclined to think the lack of them is likely a bug, if I had to venture a guess at least
