I’ve never said I won’t read posts that aren’t questions, I sometimes skim over a post if it seems particularly obnoxious.
I’m sympathetic in general to it feeling bad when you get stuff but know you can’t keep it, like I spent this karma for thisr tier, now I’m losing it. That’s a very human thing for that to feel not great.
I also think though that you can’t in a RP game very easily do the MMO thing of releasing a new gear tier every 6 months, it’s less of a pain than yearly pwipes and if you do none of the above the game just slowly dwindles anyway.
I think people are also being a bit doomery, like most favor items last for 9 months and can be rechaged for 75% of their cost, if you’re playing regularly for nine months you’re not reasonably going to have problems keeping a load of cool favor items active.
I’ve extended the time before wild hunt a bit, and one thing I will say I could’ve done better is add more rewards around it, like I probably should give some bonuses for a while after a fresh wild hunt or the like to help encourage people making use of the soft reset.
in reply to: Age Gatekeeping #29430I’m always happy to change the age of new characters if they need it changed and petition for it. It can be a little different if someone’s RP’d significantly already and then wants their age changed though.

This has always been the case though it’s not a change.You can use market renew (item) to renew anything for 80% of the cost and should get alerts when they’re within 24 hours of expiring.
I think the expiration timers are fairly generous but I didn’t want to create a situation where the game just filled up with favor items over time and they lost their specialness.
in reply to: Vampires Dying #29170Yes, if nothing else you can create a corpse for a vampire with the corpsesummon ritual, vampires should also leave ash piles when killed that can be burried, although I haven’t tested that.

The number of sessions does impact it.
The number of clues doesn’t.
Relics don’t.
Running for the same people doesn’t.
The more you run things the lower the rewards though, so people running plots on cooldown will get less per plot than people doing so more sporadically.
It’s assessed over several categories independentally and then the scores are combined, the categories are stuff like narrative flow, player agency, cohension and believability, story arc resolution, writing quality, interesting moments, and some anti-scores like fluff or padding.in reply to: Unwritten Rules #29168It depends on the type of organization and the whys of it all.
In cults the leader can really do whatever they want.
In sects they can mostly do whatever they want within reasonable limits.
In a faction there are NPC bosses who may counteract choices.
In general the question is going to turn on if this is sensible leader behaviour and pro-rp, or is it internet-person controlling type behaviour. So is it like someone is leaking intel, working against the group and never helping, pretty easy justification, are they a helpful person who just also does stuff against the group or you don’t like, not very justifiable.

It doesn’t refund you anything automtically, it just sends you to newbie school, any changes you’d have to make yourself, any karma you want to spend you’d have to have etc.
Yes you can change archetype, I don’t think you can change birthday.
You retain all your items etc.

The emote tracking system is determinative, so likely basing that on you being in private mode, it doesn’t look at the content of the emotes. You get a 20% lf debuff if you haven’t done enough antagonistic emotes.

in reply to: Wild Hunt Timing #29163Probably 4.5-5.5 months, but then it’s the wild hunt after that. So you could have a three month timer but just miss the spring grab and then because there’s no summer grab run for like 9 months or so.

If you raise a tier it will look at if the new time from now is shorter then the remaining time and update it if so.
Lowering a tier won’t matter.
Being captured resets the timer to just like you just created.
No, avoiding logging in won’t work. If you haven’t logged in for I think 3 months it will skip you though.A bit sure, but keep in mind the animator is told what it is, not what you’ve restrung it to, so if you restrung it to an animated hand it’s still going to wave its trunk around etc.
