Dahlias Creativity Outlet Grand Opening 241117

The grand opening of Dahlia's Creativity Outlet was a bustling affair, drawing an eclectic crowd keen on exploring the serene space filled with art, crafts, and hobbyist goods. Dahlia, the vibrant proprietor, and Silas, her supportive partner, were at the heart of the event, orchestrating raffles and mingling with guests. One notable interaction involved Dahlia drawing raffle tickets for craft night, which amusingly, repeatedly favored a guest named Iris, much to the amusement of those present. Throughout the night, interactions between guests like Irene, Lochana, Elyne, and Harriet suggested a community brought together by shared interests in creativity and genuine curiosity about one another. Irene, conversant yet mystified by Lochana's origins, sought to bridge language barriers while pondering the enigmatic guest's background. Meanwhile, Elyne enthusiastically pitched a creative project, envisioning a grand sculpture to enhance her home, embodying the spirit of collaboration that Dahlia's outlet aimed to foster.

The evening concluded on a note of community and possibility. Irene, juggling her multitude of purchases, expressed gratitude for the event, highlighting the outlet's welcoming atmosphere and the direct connection it fostered with local artists like Dahlia and Silas. Harriet, touched by the day's compassion, shared a poignant moment with Silas, hinting at a personal trial that underscored the evening's significance beyond the festive. As guests departed, leaving behind a trail of fond memories and creative inspirations, Dahlia and Silas contemplated the future, discussing potential collaborations and the outlet's role as a hub for artisans and enthusiasts alike. Their outlook was optimistic, reflecting on the successful event as a foundation for a thriving community centered around art, creativity, and mutual support.

WEST:Craft Night Room
SOUTH: Art Gallery

It is night, about 40F(4C) degrees, and there are a few dark grey stormclouds in the sky. There is a waning gibbous moon.

Dahlia passes Irene that kit for Iris too

Irene flashes Dahlia a quick thumbs up, with a nod to show she's understood, although she seems too caught up to banter about it. She just tucks it under one arm for now, her other holding the print of Silas' art she'd bought.

Dahlia look about as she checks the time, "Alright! Let's draw for theeeee craft night ticket next!" She pauses to give Silas a kiss on the cheek before she grabs the bowl, clearly pleased overall with how the night's gone so far.

Silas had been speaking with some employees, about refreshing punch and perhaps other requirements of such an event. He walks back over to Dahlia when she begins to announce the next winner, smiling after that peck to his cheek. He leans in, as if to try and get a peek at who the winner might be next.

Dahlia laughs as she draws another one of Iris' tickets. "Luck of the Iris indeed." She grins about the missing woman's Myhaven Handle. She gives Irene the craft night ticket." "

Even after splitting away, the thoughtful frown marring Irene's forehead suggests she remains enraptured by the mystery of Lochana's dialect. "I think she was speaking in Kashmiri, maybe," she incorrectly guesses, "I'm not as familiar with it, but it's close to Hindi." And then Dahlia's handing her another prize, although it's not really for her. She glances down to the growing pile in her arm, struggling a little to juggle it all now, and remarks, "Iris gonna love this."

Lochana flashes Toro a bright smile at his putting a finger to his lips, but she is also likewise as curious about Irene as the other woman seems to be about her. Here at least is someone who seems to vaguely understand her native tongue even if they can't communicate in it.

Dahlia says "Alright! This is the big one! Let's see who'll get the gift certificate toward a custom piece!"
"I guess it's not my lucky night," Irene observes, looking over at the bowl of raffle tickets with a wry smile. "'Grats, Harry."

With a lean, Toro follows Lochana's gaze. "It is getting late and I'm suspecting you're interested in speaking with someone else," he murmurs with a pensive pout, then a brief smirk. "Lochana. Thank you for the enjoyable company. I should make myself scarce." Two fingers are spread, flashing her a peace sign. "Until next time."

It sure does take a bit, but to all things come their inevitable end, and impromptu phone calls make no exception to this universal law. With that taken care of, Elyne is free to slip back into the establishment, pick back up where she left off. Her glass is still there, empty, which gets snatched up and promptly refilled with some of the fruit-infused punch. Now armed with a drink in one hand, the lass is almost ready to rejoin the minglers. Almost. First, there's a bag of purchases to pick up, in which she also finds her won ticket. "Cheers 'gain." she chirrups in appreciation at the attendant.

"Just in time." the woman goes next, indeed just in time to offer congratulations in the form of a cheery smile and a quiet applause of hands. "So that marble statue soundin' fact, don't it, Harry?" is jested, though there's something in her expressions, something in the twinkle of her eyes, that suggests plenty curiosity still swims about - a question, perhaps, about what kind of art this woman might truly commission off this couple-owned art store.

Lochana tilts her head at Toro, listening to him and trying to figure out what he is saying. She studies the peace sign then looks down at her own hand, lifting it and spreading out her two fingers in the same way before smiling brightly.

Dahlia smiles as she announces "Harriet! Congrats Harry." She offers out the certificate to the woman.

Toro offers Lochana a encouraging, little wink and stuffs his hands in his pockets. He makes for the door... but not before deciding to turn back for one, last mini-burger.

Harriet looks genuinely surprised as she wins the raffle, despite the fact that she did, indeed, purchase seven tickets. "Oh," comes out to express that shock as she processes the revelation as Dahlia hands her the gift certificate. "Thank you," is said to both someone and Irene after she's been congratulated. She flashes a smile Elyne's way. "The marble statue is well on its way to becoming a reality. No doubt about it."

She flashes a smile Elyne's way. "The marble statue is well on its way to becoming a reality. No doubt about it."

Taking a moment to unload some of Iris' prizes onto the buffet table, Irene frees up her hands, only so that she can fish out her phone. Then, she turns and does something incredibly rude. Unsolicited, unprompted, she angles it at Lochana, and there's a little camera flash as she takes a picture.

"Congrats!" Silas says to Harriet, grinning as he leans lightly into the front desk, watching the participants and ongoing raffle winners. He chuckles at Elyne and Harriet, "Marble statue?"

Lochana flinches at the flash that is aimed in her direction. Her pale eyes go wide and dart around the room, clearly confused that there is no loud noise to go with that flash of light.

Dahlia looks amused at that idea too. "That sounds like a fun challenge to tackle. Though I've never worked with marble before..."

"Time to practice your posin'. You know who to holla at for pointers, don't you sis?" Elyne jests on, clearly not at all apologetic for having perhaps inspired this idea of marble-hewed artistry. One wink of a thick-lashed eye later, her focus draws towards Silas. Prideful, and unapologetic, still, she informs him of what earlier got conspired on with a good bit of gesturing of her one free hand. Can't go swinging around that hand with the punch in it. ".. Something like, you know.. when you step into some French castle front yard. Big ass statue of her and her lovebird in all marble beauty and elegance tellin' you who own this real estate. Maybe even all Napoleonette - I'd lie if I ain't suspect her to be one helluva horse-rider. Be a waste if you got hella yards, wouldn't it?."

Harriet absolutely understands about one third of what Elyne says, and to properly digest that much, she's focusing very hard on breaking down each syllable. She's nodding along, though. "Yes, El suggested I get a marble statue of Sam and I, for when Sam gets back into town next month, since I'll have our anniversary and Christmas to cover for," is said to Dahlia and Silas. "How expensive would something like that be?" gets wondered of the shop owner.

"Hrm," Irene muses, looking down at the screen of her phone, then over at Lochana from over the top of it. Tap tap tap tap. Anyone who knows how phones work would probably surmise she's gossiping about the woman, perhaps texting the picture onwards. But of course, she is silent.

Dahlia looks to Silas for advise on this particular area to see if he has any ballpark ideas.

Harriet side-eyes Irene from where she stands.

"I'm sure it would be quite something. I don't have that much experience in something like marble, but if it was purely made of marble and made by hand it would be something quite costly. I would have to really look into it for an estimate," Silas says to Harriet, chuckling at Elyne as well. He moves to lean into Dahlia slightly, looking back over to Irene and Lochana.

"Yeah that sounds about right." Dahlia agrees with Silas' assessment, chuckling. "But we'd be happy to do some research and get back to you on it." She offers to Harriet.

Unable to find the source of the flash and now with her dinner companion having taken his leave, Lochana looks a little uncomfortable. She decides that more tiny hamburgers may be a good idea, grabbing one and taking a bite out of it as she studies the others. The whisper from Harriet earns the maven another confused look and she swallows before replying in slow, ennunciated words in her native tongue. "I. Don't. Understand. You."

Irene translates again, from where she loiters with her phone, and all of Iris' prizes: "She says she doesn't understand you. In Not-Hindi." She eventually pockets her phone for now, and then scoops up the boxes back into her arms, meandering over to Lochana and Harriet once more. "You know, Dr Pandit's fluent in Hindi, maybe she'll understand her better?" There's a meaningful little pause that follows. "She works at the Clinic."

"I would love to have an estimate," Harriet says to Silas and someone, smiling warmly. She tried speaking the native language of the city that shall not me named aloud, but... Lochana's response has her puzzled. "Maybe she's man Annapolis and her accent has thrown us off when she pronounces it? Are you a resident of Maryland?" is asked curiously before looking to Irene with the utmost confusion. "Oh, that's a good idea. Doctor Pandit may be of assistance... She doesn't speak..." Her slender hands gesticulate, as she silently mouths to Irene, 'Wildling.' "...So she may just be saying the wrong word in English when she's mentioning where she is from."

There's a quick buzz of her own phone that distracts Elyne back onto her smartphone, but this time it caused little more than a few seconds of distraction from tonight's event. Her eyes seek Silas and Dahlia out again, to whom she begins firing off a whole business proposal slash random person's rambling about some yet-to-be-fully-envisioned art projects. "Might have somethin' I could commission off you two.. We doin' some mad renos to my crib. I'm adding -way- more green to it, you know." she begins, again proving herself to be quite the passionated talker - in that there's always something moving, be it hands and arms, if not a bounce or shift of posture.

"Got my whole mini-zoo pretty much free-roamin' around in there, and I kinda wanna have some sort of, like... centerpiece for it. They's just, like.. chameleons, skinks, few spiders even though they tend to stick to they terrariums. Maybe somethin' looking all like one of those big, twisted jungle trees. You's good with a carpentry project?"

Lochana seems content that she's made herself abundantly clear. When all else fails speak slowly and loudly. She takes another munch from the slider, the last of it, before brushing the crumbles from her fingers against her tunic.

Out comes her phone, again, though this time it's just to quickly -- and expertly -- browse through vast, vast libraries of photos. "Got pics to better put into picture what vibe I's got goin'. I'll connect you those once I've got a bit better an idea of the specifics, though if you've got ideas of your own I'm fine payin' a good up-front right now. Long as it can double as something they can shelter in for shade, I ain't finna tell artists they ideas are too absurd." Elyne provides additionally, finally -- and perhaps thankfully -- finding something to silence her for a bit. And that's both first trying out, and then finishing, her punch, and the one fruit slice she was lucky enough to scoop up.

Irene looks vaguely amused by Harriet's air-quotes, for some reason, though she doesn't directly comment on it. "No, she's definitely from where she says she is. I checked," the linguist clarifies, like that's not creepy at all. Her eyes then tick to the slider that Lochana is munching on, before she notes, "Definitely not Hindi."

However! They are still at a party at an art gallery, and talk of commissions draws Irene back into the present moment, the mundane, as she lifts her chin in the direction of Dahlia and Silas. "How much are commissions, by the way, for the non-winners? Is there a price list?"

"It make take some time because I wouldn't want to quote something out without finding the proper people for the medium," Silas says to Harriet but he seems to agree to the idea. He turns over to Elyne afterwards, "I think we have a friend that could help with that project, the artwork part could be us but the construction might be someone else, might have to coordinate..." He reaches up to run a hand into his hair, glancing aside to Dahlia and smiling before looking over to Irene, "I think it is just based on the scope of the project itself. A small painting won't be as much as a big marble statue or something similar to that. So it depends on what you want, we can discuss details and figure out how much time and effort it might take and go from there."

Turning her attention back to Elyne after promisng an estimate to Harriet, "That sounds exciting!" Dahlia definitely looks interested in the project being pitched, and more confident in working with wood than marble to some degree, but agrees with Silas' sentiment about a friend to help with the actual construction. "Would love to see the pics but what immediately what comes to mind is some kind of...large tree-like structure? Branches to lounge on, shade provides, maybe a hole or two that they could climb into to chill out in?" She speculates?@line
"What he said." Dahlia grins to Irene, "Did you have an idea in mind?"

Lochana seems to decide that it is about time that she slipped out and that is exactly what she does while the others are engaged.

"Ain't got.. much on me right now.. Eight hunnos.." Elyne begins to mumble, mostly to herself almost, as out comes her wallet. And, indeed, that small amount of cash is pulled out, wads folded with the practice of someone who handles her share of dollar bills on the reg. ".. but I can wire either of you another, like.. twelve-hundred to make it a solid two 'kay' up-front. Should help sample some, like.. material already?"

To Silas, her attention then drifts first, and then to Dahlia. Her focus remains glued on her, too , for longer than twenty seconds. That's almost a record for tonight, with her and Harriet now fighting for first position. A nod here, a 'mmhm' or 'bet' there. Then, after kissing her teeth, and flashing a diamond-enhanced smile, she goes "Aiiii, you feelin' it."

A photo is then offered over on that phone. ".. You know those rainforest trees that, kinda like.. all grow together, twisting and coiling like they's snakes in a mud bath? That sort'a tree I dig."

Although Irene's eyes follow the departing Wildling, she doesn't try to stop her. Instead, she ends up wandering over to the soap samples, picking one up for a little sniff before answering Dahlia. "Not yet, but my home is very boring," she laments. She flashes her a smile over a whiff of soap and claims, "I'm just window shopping. I'd love to spruce it up with some art pieces down the line. Although ..." She carefully hefts some boxes from one arm to the next. "You know? I think I'll take some bath soap. Every other shop in town sells stuff that makes me feel like I'm about to get a job at the Nymph. I just want some nice, normal, not overpowering soap."

"I'm a sucker for Kiss My Face or Meow Meow Tweet. Meo'ws coconut cacao is -amazing- and they's got all the natural and vegan stuff your skin'll thank you for." Elyne suddenly has to share, side-tracked onto beauty product talk instantly when she overhears Irene talk about soap. "You try those yet? Cause if you know a shop that got 'em in town I need a hook-up.."

Silas looks over towards Elyne, listening to her description and possibly receiving a picture for reference. He looks to his phone and back up to the woman, "I think that might be able to cover getting things started at least, might be able to finish it depending. Let's get to work on it, could try to find something and do some sketches show you them and go from there?" She glances to Dahlia with his eyes widening a bit before gesturing over to Elyne, "Dahlia and I could both work on it some." He does laugh a little at Irene's comment, "The soaps are nice, more natural scents. I was speaking to her about it before and saying that it is nice to have something less perfumey and more just natural."

Dahlia looks over the picture Elyne shows, grinning at it, "I love that! A jungle tree inspired sculpture and reptile hang out would look -great- there." She nods. "Lots of room too and maybe we can give the tree." She truly seems out of her element with actually putting a price to the work but so there's a side-glance to Silas before nodding to Elyne, "I think that would be plenty to get us started with picking out materials and figuring out everything." Seemingly on the same page as Silas.

"Of course! If you want the pumpkin spice or the apple I can get them from the back. I didn't have time to put them on the shelf." She offers. "I'm also always open to scent ideas too." She tells Irene. Circling back to the mention of a commission, "If you're comfortable with it, I'd be happy to come by your place some time and take a look? See if I can get any ideas."

Ash says "Mmm... what did I miss? This party still swinging?"
That's all she needed to hear, with Elyne passing over the ownership of those eight hunnos to Dahlia here-and-now. Soap is secondary, art is now the primary focus again. "Who I wirin' it to?" the easy-spender inquires of the two, phone already braced to ensure that promised payment is handled promptly. "..'Boutta bounce, but if you need any other deets now, holler up."

"Yeeesss exactly," Irene finger-guns Silas from underneath a pile of boxes. "You geet me." She ends up setting those boxes down again, a recurring theme of the night, in order to liberate her hands to make a purchase. And after sniffing half the soap bars, she can't seem to decide which she likes best, so she just selects one of each, presenting them for Haven's cutest couple to ring up for her. "The Cauldron does more frou frou scents if you like Elyne," she chats while she shops, glancing aside over at Elyne. "it's not bad or anything, I'm actually wearing one of their scents right now. But yeah, I dunno ... it's not ... /me/," she vaguely insists, "I just felt like being fun and slutty for a change though, so I wore it anyway.

Bouncing her brows over at Dahlia, she nods her head. "Yeah I'd love that! I'll take whatever you have, variety is the spice of life. And I'll be happy to invite you over sometime." She smiles."

Dahlia look to Ash with mildly wide eyes but then offers a smile. "Welcome, it's probably winding down but you're welcome to linger and browse around!" She steps briefly to the back to collect some soaps for Irene, calling to Elyne, "Either me or Silas is fine!"

"Thank you, Dahlia would be fine or myself," Silas says to Elyne as he waves to her when she begins to announce her departure. He looks over to Ash, studying him a few moments, "Nice getup." He walks over to the stuffed mushrooms and takes one for a bite before laughing at Irene's finger guns, "I personally prefer the more natural scents, less strength. They're easier on the nose and more fun to discover instead of knowing someone is coming from down the street."

Ash hums softly at the taste of the mushrooms, glancing over the others. They smile to Silas, drawling, "Thank you! I just bought this sweater... though, now I wish I'd worn the other one. A little more classy." They chuckle, considering the mushrooms again before going for some punch instead.

"I'm the same," Irene further concurs to Silas with another nod of her head, "and I mean, my sense of smell isn't even as good as a lot of other people's, I wonder what it's like for them?" She grins at him, and her eyes linger for just a moment, before she bounces her brows by way of greeting over at someone. Evidently unafraid of any potential awkwardness, she asks him point blank, "We on speaking terms yet?"

"To each they own.. I respect the choice either way." Elyne offers, this close to adding a fist-bump in just for effect. But that's when her hand is required to tap in a few digits, do a bit of additional tapping and swiping, and then she nods at Dahlia and Silas. ".. Don't be shy to tell me you need additional dosh for materials or.. like.. inspiration." Her screen goes black, and this business gets concluded with a wink-and-a-nod.

".. Now, gotta forgive a girl for having to hustle.. Our nightlife needs they influx of products, so we be due a drive. Catch you all later, alright?" the noirette offers, not just to the two business-owners, but to what ears and faces are around. She offers Harriet a very girl-to-girl smile, blown-kiss, a silently mouthed over 'see you love you sis', and then turns to make for the exit.

A pair of wireless earphones produced from wouldnt-you-like-to-know-where are readily produced, with one quickly disappearing behind her waterfall of bouncy waves, as her eyes gloss over someone. ".. Dig the fashion, Ashion. Slaaaaayyy!" is enthused, complete with a cheer of an emptied drink glass. But then she heads for her car, welcomed before the door even pops open by remote-activated music. Off into the night she soon drives with LightSkinKeisha helping her out with waking up those who've tucked into bed early in this sleepy town.

Dahlia is definitely still in the bag

Dahlia is definitely still in the baack

Ash clears their throat as they stop trying to be so flashy and dramatic, whatever leading to it ending. To Irene, they murmur, "Who knows? I have a horrible memory." They shrug, giving her a sof smile before grinning to Elyne

Ash murmurs, "Aaand, she's gone!"

Dahlia returns from the back! "Sorry! Here you go, Irene!" She passes the soaps over to her. "Consider them a gift! For supporting us." She smiles

Harriet took a much longer business call than expected, but she's ending it now and slips her phone away from an ear.

"Aww, thanks! Thanks so much," Irene gushes to Dahlia, reaching over to accept the additional soaps. She adds this bag to the other bag of her purchases, and the pile of Iris' prizes she's carrying, and the print of Silas' art. At which point she realises, "I need more hands."

Aside to Ash, she hitches a shoulder, smiles and shrugs. "Beef with you as never on my side, Starling, I'm vegan; I just try to respect when there's a weird vibe in the air," she tells him.

Ash snaps their fingers as they ask Dahlia and Silas cheerfully, "I guess I didn't win? And here I thought I was the lucky sort. Five tickets ain't anything when everyone else dips in for five, too, yeah?" They snicker to Irene, singing a quote, "Tell your boyfriend, if he says he got beef, that I'm a vegetarian and I ain't fucking scared of him!"

"Glad you were able to find a print you liked and some soap you might enjoy," Silas says to Irene as he laughs, nodding a few times, "Would love to have a few more arms sometimes, maybe help with some projects I had to do around here... did anyone go into the bathroom? I'll just let people discover it on their own one day." He moves to lean into Dahlia afterwards, "I might call it myself in a little bit. You rode over here, right?"

"Don't think so, but at least now we all have this place for some artist gatherings. My number is 7107707 if you want to reach out to coordinate something, or at-Silo on MyHaven," Silas says to Ash.

Ash adds to Irene, "I think it's amazing when anyone can use a line like that. Also, I can't remember if I added the shroom burger to... no, that's not vegan... shit, I'll have to check the Rosie's menu to make sure I have a vegan option, not just vegetarian." They sigh, their ADHD getting away from them. To Silas, they say, "Oh, thank you! I think I may have matched you on MyHaven... let me just make sure."

Dahlia looks to Ash now with a grin, "Yeah, no wins unfortunately. Iris took the luck!" She says good naturedly, motioning to the things Irene holds. "Thank you for your purchase earlier though. I'm really glad that piece found a home." She laughs softly at the song lyric.

Nodding to Silas, "I did! I might not be long after you." She gives him a squeeze, leaning up to kiss his cheek.

Perhaps unfamiliar with this song, Irene gives Ash a puzzled look and tells him, "What? I don't have a boyfriend. Ew, boys have cooties." With a tick of her chin at Silas, she tells him, "Thanks for throwing this opening, you two, it was really fun. Always happy to support a local business, too, especially if I like the owners."

With a sad shake of her head, because Irene must have indeed checked before, she tells Ash, "Rosie's doesn't have a single veggie item on the menu, except the fries. It's aaall meat burgers."

Ash turns to the bathroom as Silas hints. "Mmm... bathroom...? And of course! Ta, if you're heading to bed." They shake their head to Irene, drawling, "The dreamwich is meat-free. That's why it's on the specials."

Ash says "Oh, that's not it...."
Dahlia chuckles, "It's west, off the art gallery."

"To the south is the gallery and there is a bathroom to the west of it, in case anyone ever needs to use it," Silas says to someone, nodding his head. He smiles at the man, "It was just a room I put some effort into with the decor, and thank you for supporting us. We really do want to make this a home for people."

Dahlia briefly checks her phone, clearing her throat and trying not to look -too- stunned. She slips it away, looking to Harriet now, "Thank you for coming out too." She smiles. "It's really wonderful to get to meet you, though I'm sorry I was a bit all over the place for us to chat."

Ash tells Silas and Dahlia happily, "Okay, brilliant! It's cozy, but it's that dizzying effect, you know? I'm weak for that sort of thing! And yeah, Silas - I did match you!"

"You two would get along really well, I think," Irene opines, looking between Dahlia and Harriet with a nod as she juggles her shopping.

Harriet looks up, having been lost in thought again, as Irene speaks to her. Her head bobs up and down in small movements. "I'm all right, just worried. She didn't want to take her phone so that no one could track her, and I have to trust that she got away safely... but I cannot help but to worry," she admits honestly. A deep inhale causes her nostrils to pinch and then flare somewhat, but then she's looking to Dahlia. "Thank you so much for this wonderful shop and the event. It's all wonderful, and I'm so glad we could meet face to face, rather than just texting."

Silas looks over to Ash, "Yeah! If you don't look at the one side of the wall it isn't too bad, but the stalls! I just came up with it and decided, why not..." He chuckles and leans in to glance to Dahlia's phone, "Oh!" He seems to realize what she might be looking at and then leans in to give her an embrace, one arm around her waist, drawing her in closer as he says, "I think this was a big success, now just to keep the momentum going."

"I promise I'll be coming back," Irene tells Silas with a smile, before turning to say something to Harriet. She lowers her voice, however, and mumbles somewhat incoherently.

Irene is actually not sure if that was her bag, or if it was there before.

"Silas definitely did a great job in there." Dahlia mused of the bathrooms to Ash. "I love it." She perches on the edge of a chair next to Silas, leaning into the hug. "I think it was too, yeah. " She agrees to him.

"We'll have to try and get together properly sometime." Dahlia tells Harriet. "When did you say your wedding as going to be?"

Ash nods, then seeing that the current party is mostly a different conversation, they wave, "I should probably head home, but I'll definitely be back!" They wave before heading out.

"Okay, I will make a trip to the bathrooms before I head home," Irene decides. She doesn't wave goodbye to anyone, because, alas, she has no hands.

"My wedding is going to be at the end of January," Harriet informs Dahlia as a smile returns to her lips again, but then fades and her expression is back to that near perpetual state of resting bitch face. "Sam will be back in town in a month from now, and then we'll likely set the official date, and then we'll both be out on our honeymoon for a month after that." She then says, "But it would be great to hang out and get to know you better before then."

"End of January," Silas says to Harriet as he looks somber at the mentioning of that time period. He nods though and leans into nudge Dahlia, "Think we could make that, maybe, if we're invited. Harry is good people and Sam is definitely fun, so we should probably try to make an effort before they vanish on honeymoons for however long..."

Dahlia nods in understanding as Harriet explains, "Congratulations." She tells her with a soft smile. "I'm sure that'll be an excellent time. We'll definitely make some plans." She stifled a yawn and seems surprised by it. "Oh, my. I guess it is that time. Maybe I should start closing up a little. "

Irene has now returned everything she accidentally stole, having split her shopping into two different bags by mistake -- one of which wasn't hers!

Dahlia shuffles that pesky bag back into the office

"Thank you," Harriet replies to Dahlia. "And if Irene says that you and I will get along, then it must be true," she says with a nod Irene's way.

"Coolest bathrooms I've ever seen," Irene declares, upon her return. "I went there and back again."

Silas looks quite pleased with Irene's comment and he laughs softly, a grin coming to his features, "It took some doing, but I think it was worth it. Plus, the stalls have actual privacy unlike half the shit I end up..." He just lets the words trail off though, shrugging his shoulders before looking to his watch and then Dahlia, "Yeah, I think we'll have the food taken by the employees, maybe we can get it donated if there is any left after that and then I'm going to head home." He turns to Irene and Harriet, "Thank you so much for coming, we appreciate it."

"A lot of work. A lot of love. I can tell," says Irene, trailing her gaze all around the walls of the shop indicatively. Then she leaves with an unceremonious, "Smell ya later." And she grins at her own dumb joke, her bags full of soap.

Dahlia looks over a few photos that come through, impressed and texting something before sending it back. "Ash is phenomenal." She asides to Silas, "Definitely open to having them put a piece or two in here if they want." She rises from her seat, nodding in agreement with his words. "Yeah, that sounds good." She does, of course, collect a few remaining snacks for herself though to nibble on now that she's not moving all around.

"Thank you for hosting," Harriet replies to Silas. "It was good for me to get out. Today a very rough day... with what happened to Sam... and Irene convinced me I needed a proper distraction," she admits. "I hope you two have a wonderful rest of your evening."

Harriet smiles softly to Dahlia, and her hands smooth over the sides of her dress to ensure it's offering all of the proper coverage before she dares to step outside.

"I am not familiar with what happened, but I hope everything will be okay in the future, Harry. Always enjoy your company," Silas says to Harriet, waving towards her as she begins to head out.

Dahlia waves as Harriet heads into the night!

Silas turns to Dahlia after, "Yeah? I definitely want to have people who would like to participate over here. That is the point, right? We could sit down with them another time when it isn't a big event and discuss them having commissions up or just displaying their own things for the fun of it."

"Today was her... prophecy..." Harriet says quietly to Silas. "We had to get her out of town," is stated quietly befre she waves back to Dahlia and heads out.
